ITT we show our recent toy purchase and the cost.

My most recent purchase was a NECA Chell figure. Got lucky and won her in a bid for $20.50 + $8.00 shipping MOC.
>>
>>6123010
Is that a good price for her? I have her and Gordon both, don't even know where they are anymore.
>>
>>6123067
Yeah she goes for $50+ MOC and Gordon is usually $70+ MOC even pre-owned they go for great prices.
>>
I bought a KBBMP10-V Optimus and a Revoltech Raiden.
The Optimus is amazing.
My Raiden isn't here yet but I am pretty excited.

Optimus was $53.
Raiden was $70.
I overpaid for the Raiden but it was the cheapest one I could find.

>>6123010
That is not a good deal.
I got her for $12 on clearance and still feel ripped off.
>>
>>6123072
Holy shit. I need to go dig nine out, I just saw the headcrab the other day, too. Shit, I need to get a case for my Portal Gun.

Done derailing

I couldn't find cheaper + I wanted wanted another valve figure for to display with Gordon
>>
>>6123082
That is the same reason I bought her.
She is pretty shitty but worth getting for $20 or under if you are a fan.
>>
>>6123095
True story: I bought Chell at retail and felt so ripped off I wrote to NECA and sent pics showing how godawful she was. In return they sent me one of their own really nice pre-production samples.
>>
>>6123010
I bought mine a few years back and she looks like she has a case of the downs. I looked at a bunch of pictures online, and damn near every Chelle's face looked different. Are there bootlegs, or is the quality of the figures just REALLY hit or miss?

The one on the left is what was in the package, the one on the right is what NECA sent me.

This was around 3 years ago. I had gotten acquainted with Leonardo Saraceni, and we had been emailing back and forth about Valve properties. He did me a personal favor and sent me the upper torso of the figure on the right, straight off a workbench. I never posted about it because I didn't want people thinking they could just email NECA and demand free figures.

It might not come out as well in the photo as it does in hand, but everything about it is much nicer, from the mold to the paint, with no seam lines or anything. it's not perfect, but I never saw a single figure in the stores that looked even close to that good.

A friend bought this for me recently. He spent $50 shipped for this and David, then flipped David for $25. So, $25 for a toy that is regularly listed on feebay for around $100. This finally completes my NECA Prometheus collection so I'm pretty happy.

Well at least you didn't overpay for her by much OP.

My most recent purchase isn't her yet, but my second most was the Star Wars BS Sabine Wren and the Mattel 6" Ghost for 27$ and 9$ respectfully.
Both Sabien and the Elite that came with the ghost are great, plus having a 6 inch scale vehicle is neat. Honestly I don't even mind overpaying for sabien outside of some disgusting scalper earning 7$ off my back.

The Detolf only needs dusting once in a blue moon. The figures on the top are the worst, I find cobwebs between my aliens if I leave them for too long. The ones on the bookcase need dusting once a month.

I like my setup I just wish I had a second cabinet so I could spread out my collection.

Nice assumption friend.
I can afford the hobby, I just don't appreciate having to pay an extra 30% on top of what I've already paid for a single figma, bringing the grand total to almost £60. Might as well have ordered from a scalper on ebay.

Anyways, I'm done moping about the fees, I just hope my other much larger order from AmiAmi doesn't get caught.

My thoughts after the unboxing:

Love the metallic blue on her zero suit, hate that she only has two boring expressions, love the Motoko-like pop out shoulders, hate the lack of neck/head articulation, love the paint apps in general, very clean with no slops, hate that she didn't come with THE BABY and I had to shell out for the world of Nintendo instead.

Overall a mixed bag, she's a nice figure, but the lack of accessories and bad accessory choices for the ones she did get makes it hard to call her a great figure. And yet she's still the best non-statueshit zero suit Samus ever.

Being a Metroid fan is suffering.

this is fucking rad. Was Cody in actually in Ep. II??
>>
>>6137599
He was definitely in 3.
>>
>>6137468
That's pretty cool that he has both helmets.

>>6137599
He wasn't in ep 2, but he had phase 1 armor in the Clone Wars cartoon

LJ is a pretty great figure. I'm super envious of anyone with a comics style HB. Glad you like them.

Got a Mego style Sutekh since I thought the head was pretty neat. I plan on replacing the body with a Dog Alien so he resembles the Verdugo from RE4

Bought these off mandarake, $23 shipped.

Love how tiny they are, can fit a whole bunch of them where only one RD or kit would fit. Will buy a few more, only really want the grunt suits since the gundams all look like shit due to minimal paint apps.
>>
>>6140768

If you have Figma Guts, can you put the cloak on him? Been putting off ordering from that ebay seller for over a year now because I'm not sure how it'd fit on Guts.

Here you go anon.

It does a good job of covering up the ugly neck on the Band of the Hawk version, but his sword gets in the way when sheathed.

For Black Swordsman I ordered a dark grey one. It needs some weathering to make it fit with the overall aesthetic of the figure but I think it looks great.

It is my first experience with the line and I am looking forward to falling into another expensive rabbit hole.
>>
>>6142111
US anon here, I paid like $6 for it at the store. It's a neat figure, the 'capsule' part of it is slightly squishy. It also comes with a small, clear stand. That seems reasonable if you really wanted it.

I found that to be totally useless so I modified an extension piece so it could use a figma stand.

My most recent purchases:
>Marvel Legends Green Goblin ~$20
>Marvel Legends Shocker ~$20
Happy with both of them, been wanting them for awhile.
>Gundam DASH 04 complete set ~$45
>HG Gyan kit ~$12
The Gundam DASH figures were over-priced, but man I really wanted them all, especially the SD Hildolfr. I'll put together the Gyan kit later, just wanted to have it available for a rainy day.
>various Fungus Amongus figures ~$15
Wanted to see what they were like, not too bad. I won't buy anymore though.

>bootleg ML Jubilee $39
>bootleg (probably) Tamashii effect Burning Flame (red ver) $12.74

Should be a fun couple of weeks as these roll in.

Found a boxed Daimos in the local comic shop, had to have it. It's my biggest grail and I never thought I'd find it in person. Box is kind of beat up but for a 45 year old piece of cardboard its pretty damn good. Paid 200 and its worth quite a bit more than that.

plus it's probably the best 1/12th scale metroid anyone will ever make so

Awesome! My best friends wife found 3 Shogun Warriors at a thrift shop for 20 dollars a pop. It was pretty crazy find. They were going to resell them at a fair price, but never got around to doing it. I might just buy them off her, but I don't have any nostalgia to it, since I was born in 86. They are just collecting dust..
>>
>>6142831

Some guy on Ebay wants $44 for just the helmet piece. ridiculous. I know I also need the Solar shield for the combined mode..Now I'm focusing on the rest of the Rescue megazord or Super train megazord. Solar zord would look glorious at the front of it... This is genius marketing on Bandai's part! I'm going to have to wait forever to find a deal though.
