I liked the Sideshow 1:6 from about a decade back. This was back when 1:6 wasn't insane. Most of the smaller figures of her are terrible. Not sure how the new Black Series actually turned out yet though.

Anyway, yeah, that new Black Series Leia just went to $40. I really hate to participate in that but collectors are so fucking poor 99% of the time. If you don't gouge right at release or when somebody dies, forget breaking even.

You're not completely wrong. There was a controversy right when Disney took over the 6" Black Series "Slave Leia" figure was in stores. The new attention given by TFA and parents buying toys for daughters finally revealed the sickening 30 year history of the slave Leia phenomenon to normies, and Hasbro pulled the figure or renamed the figures. It was a combination of the word "slave" and a naked woman that triggered some PTSD in landwhales, mixed with religious parents who don't want their daughters exposed to sexuality. It blew over and nobody cares anymore.

Also, Muslims hate Jabba because his palace looks like a mosque in Turkey. Lucasfilm and Lego had to issue a formal apology so the didn't get slain in the name of the religion of peace.

Sad times, but like the "war on Christmas" it's overblown. A small minority of easily offended bitches whine, and then it makes the news on slow days.

A loose, pure white Leia with cape and blaster sells for 15-25 dollars depending on how white she was and if the cape had any tears. I would pay 25 for another one in better condition than the one I have. I don't know what the going rate is now that Fisher is dead. There are literally a million of them in existence, so just wait until the price settles. At the furthest extreme- for a perfect figure, AFA C-8 quality- I would pay $35 before her death, maybe $40 after.

The yellowing is a big deal. You can look up ways to prevent it, but honestly, if it hasn't yellowed in 30 years you probably have a piece that is in good enough condition to be worth paying more for. It's all about the plastic used during production and has very little to do with sunlight or other conditions (except cigarette smoke). Put it in a plastic case just to be sure.

For figures on the card it depends on the logo. If it is a 12 back, good condition sealed card it could go up to $600 (I've seen them sold at that price before). Typicall they sell for $150-$350, but that depends on creases in the card, yellowing bubbles, and things like that. I imagine those 12 back MOC figures will be doubling and tripling because of Fisher's death. The other logos are a little harder to gauge. I would say the Princess Leia Organa (white dress) figure on any other cardback would still go up in price, but nothing like the 1978 12 back. You could probably get a 21-back for less than $100 if you can tolerate a crease in the card.
