Why don't more toy companies jump on popular unlicensed characters? Like no one notable has really made a generic Santa, even though he's recognized worldwide. C'mon figma, bandai.... NECA? Seems like a lot of missed opportunities.
I guess there are companies that do generic skeletons and werewolves.
But no generic Mummies or Vampires or Easter Bunnies or idunno.

Disney holds the copyright on the Santa image.
>>6054011
No that's Coca Cola. They also have the copyright on polar bears
>>6054011
No they don't.
>>6054016
Coca Cola does not have it anymore, they did and just molded how we portray Santa today, right now hes public domain
DST does Universal Monsters and assorted fictional creatures. Toy Biz made a 4 pack of monsters for the Legends line. And Mattel made a weird easter bunny man for the WWE line. Pic related is a real honest to god recent action figure, from a wrestling line no less.
There's ways to cobble together a weird slew of unlicensed/generic themed figures. But for the most part, the market just isn't there I would imagine.

to anyone to who doesn't know (or don't care bout Rasslin) it's where a Rassler named Adam Rose is like a party guy with all these quirky characters like the Bunny
the person playing it was also a former rassler named Justin Gabriel, he doesn't play it anymore as he thought it was goofy
>>6054045
No, they canned the Bunny as it was going nowhere (and Gabriel/PJ Black wanted to take it to a cringeworthy edgelord Donnie Darko level) and then fired him. Then they fired Adam Rose for his adderall problem and for beating the shit out of his wife.

>then fired him
He quit by no-showing a PPV

Fuck santa, just give me a proper Yule Goat.
Santa figures would only be profitable during the Christmas season (MAYBE July as a 'X-mas in July' re-release with special Santa in stereotypical Hawaiian shirt and shorts like he's on vacation).
I'd like to see a superheroes holiday characters figures. There would be Santa, Easter Bunny, Samhain/Jack'o'Lantern scarecrow guy, Uncle Sam (July 4th), a pilgrim and/or turkey, Cupid (Valentine's Day), and maybe even a Jesus figure too. BAF would be Krampus. Either style them like typical capeshit or make them gritty extreme 90s versions.

Christmas happens every year, dude. If figma made a Santa figure that they rereleased every year they'd sell like hotcakes, or at least warm cakes. Yep, just knocking out Santas, year after year. Y'all can take this idea right to the bank.
