How many toys have to censor themselves or hide the name to get in shelves
I recall KickAss
And this question came for seeing this spider bitch, which can't be call that in toy shelves

Hellboy 2 from Mezco. They got onto TRU shelves for the sequel, and the movie isn't specifically labeled on the packaging. Hellboy himself is only listed as "Red," too.
>>6025096
Oh and I believe the Gundam "Deathscythe Hell" removed "Hell" from the packaging.
And Marvel's Holocaust had to be renamed Nemesis for the Hasbro BAF.
Neca Django unchained dolls got pulled from the shelves
>>6025157
Found the one you talking about
>>6025167
And that's just the 3 incher, it was like that with the 7 inch scale, too.
>>6025165
Kids ruin toy the irony
>>6025171
Couldn't find a picture of the 7" that said "red"
There is pictures of it saying "bellboy" so there is 2 version of packaging I guess
>>6025176
I'll take some shots of mine when I get home. I still have some of the variants packaged.
says RAPIST on the back, but the artwork makes it all garbled up so most people wont plainly see the word is there. Definitely not written on the front.

Neca Castlevania Succubus have painted nipples, but they conver her up in the final product.
You can remove the upper part of the dress to reveal the original intent.
Neca strikes again by putting a "TRU exclusive" sticker over the tentacle that looked like a penis on the Trilobite two-pack.
>>6025171
I got this one off Mandarake a while back for like 3000 yen
>>6025421
Oh nice, that's the one with a resin/polystone/ something or other right hand of doom.
'revell power aces' had a vehicle called "black bastard"
"maters tall tales"
had two Japanese forklifts called teki and paki
and of course who could forget the transformer pulled from uk shelves because called 'spastic'

An oldie for the My Little Pony series. One of the characters in the series named "Derpy" was censored in nearly all the merch, replaced with a sticker of a muffin after SJWs cried foul over the name itself being too damaging to children or something. The name only made it into one merch, the rest are just icons of the pastry, which is unique for the character.
>>6026372
What the hell is up with the thumb
>derpy = muffin
>why live
>>6026372
What the fuck, were you tortured by the CIA or something? What happened with your nails?
>>6026372
The Funko figurine has Derpy on it as well...I could be mistaken. I know it's on the tag for the box.
>>6025099
They started calling her Spider-Woman when Spider-Verse rolled around. She's also called Spider-Girl in the Spider-Man Unlimited game, too.
Hasbro got into trouble when they named one of their transformers "Spastic". They had to paste a sticker with its new name on units already produced to sell them
Here's one of my Hellboy 2 Hellboys. The exclusives and I thiiiink specialty shop ones all say Hellboy of course, though not the movie's title.
And of course, there were like, four variations between weapons and what head version you get, etc.
>>6026497
They've renamed a lot of Transformers in the past. Notable one is Slag=Slug because offensive to britbongs.
>>6026486
>Funko
Lots of wrestling toys were toned down back during the "Attitude" days. "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn became "B.A." Billy Gunn (he got his bachelor's in assology). The "Mr. Ass" logo on his trunks similarly became "Mr. BA." Jeff Jarrett's t-shirt, which said "Don't Piss Me Off" in real life, was changed to the much tamer "Don't Make Me Mad." And while I can't think of a specific example, I'm sure at least one Steve Austin toy said "heck yeah" on it rather than "hell yeah."

In the UK spastic is a derogatory term for people with Cerebral Palsy and therefore highly offensive. Americans associate it with muscle spasms though, so its not some forbidden word for you guys. Nintendo once slipped up with the word spastic being used in a Mario Party game, the UK release had to be recalled to have the line altered after people complained (it went as far as to be reported in major newspapers).

Holy shit, are these articulated? How old are these? I fucking love Castlevania.
>>6028622
They came out in 2007 or 2008.
NECA only did one wave, that had Succubus, Dracula, Alucard, and Simon.
Succubus didn't really have much articulation at all. I think just shoulder swivels and a Neck swivel. I'm not even sure she had anything more than that, but I think the others might have had more.
>>6028622
They are articulated, but not by today's standards. They're, God, almost 7-8 years old now?
>>6025163
He was also called Dark Nemesis in the old Toy Biz X-Men line.
>>6025163
to add on to this anon I remember alot of g gundam was censored as well with god and devil gundam being renamed burning and dark and within the show there was one called tequila gundam renamed to Mexican gundam or something like that
>>6025163
>>6028666
Nemesis is his official Marvel name.
Holocaust was only his name in a super rare highly collectible file book, 3 or 4 years before he actually debutted in the XMen comics.
>>6026625
One I remember late in the Jakks Pacific line was a release of Balls Mahoney that was billed as just B. Mahoney on all packaging.
Speaking of packaging, there was a wave of figures in 2007 that had Chris Benoit in the assortment. It was rereleased at TRU near christmas time and the packaging now had a giant WWE sticker over the Benoit toy.
>>6025172
It's never fucking kids, it's always retarded soccer moms.
I remember when I was working at TRU, we had to recall a poster of John Cena because his hat (that you could barely see on his head) said "Hell yeah" or something of the sort.
>>6029200
>Holocaust was only his name in a super rare highly collectible file book
I had some old AoA trade where in one of the included issues he was named Holocaust, but in a later one he's called Nemesis. Younger me was quite confused until I realized why his older, cooler name might not be such a great idea to keep around.

The Spongebob movie was aired in the UK recently and I noticed that they changed "Knucklehead Mcspazotron" to "Knucklehead (awkward silence)"
