Let's compare different toy lines and bicker about the differences
>>6012477
Being unsure which is which, The two on the left look best. The other 2 have weird proportions.
>>6012477
The two on the right look like the down syndrome brigade.
>>6012482
Left to right:
Black Series, Bandai model kit, Revoltech, SH Figuarts
Far left is blatantly the worst.
>>6012477
Can we not? We do this every other thread as it is.
>>6012477
All of these look terrible, what the fuck is so hard about a Stormtrooper that every company has failed to produce an accurate one?
>>6012510
Yeah, seriously, what with all of that non matching armor they wear.
....
Jesus, not even the helmets are the same.
>>6012510
The helmet sculpt for Hasbro's Saga Legends is the best I've seen.
Their Rogue One version is really good too.
>>6012477
the two on the right look like crap.
>>6012477
>leaving out the best one
>>6012491
Not a Star Wars collector but I do like the two on the right. Roughly how much do they all cost?
>>6012684
fuck I meant two on the left
>>6012492
Sorry, you've got your weeb glasses on.
>>6012684
Hasbro Black Series and Bandai Model Kit, both are around 20$.
I recommend the Model kit (the right one). Easy to build and apply the stickers as with a Lego set and literally the same price as the US version. For Europeans I would even say it's cheaper than the Hasbro Actionfigure.
I love images like that.
All of them should be identical to one another, yet half of them look like cosplay on a budget.
>>6012708
If you're going for the Bandai model kit, get the Sandtrooper. That one fixes the neck issue of the original Stormtrooper kit.
Why can't 1 company just keep making the same character over and over and refine it over time?
Like how Bandai keeps making RX-78-2 model kits and GSC keeps making Hatsune Miku figma/nendoroid.
Bandai model kits are for poorfags, let's compare shit that costs about the same.
Left Figma, Right Figuarts
>>6013730
The $20 Bandai model kit and BS stormtroopers still look better than the $45 Figuarts.
>>6013738
Figuarts makes God tier shit with everything it touches except OT Troopers. It makes ZERO sense.
FO Trooper's got it goin on though
>>6013779
>Figuarts makes God tier shit with everything it touches
>>6014239
Why are you comparing a statue to an action figure?
>>6014242
>Figuarts makes God tier shit with everything it touches
apparently, god tier means only articulation matters, but only certain articulation, and everything else doesnt matter
>>6012477
Far left can't even hold its gun, so that's obviously the worst.
>>6014253
It helps if you actually know how to pose figures
>>6014312
Thor on the right is Marvel Select I assume. What is that on the left?
>>6014323
A slightly better yet mushy Figma
model stormtrooper is best trooper. I made his neck issue better by simply adding tape to cover. Gives a bit extra length to rest on top with support.
>>6014561
The biceps are still twice as long as they should be.
>>6014561
ok i hate it when it flips it like that, hopefully this one is fixed
>>6014312
Too bad the Thor costume from the new movie looks so dull, if they even touch it. We probably won't get a decent Figuarts Thor until Avengers 3.
Holy shit guys, you really upset subjectautism this time.
>>6012545
Second this
>>6012683
>shoulder pads anchored to chest piece
the smallest fuck ups really just ruin an entire figure completely
>>6014570
is that a peg hole at the top of the shoulder?
Figuarts will fix the helmet sculpt for Rogue One trooper
>>6018241
Yeah that's why I haven't bought one. I've thought about getting it and modding it by cutting them from the torso and gluing them to the biceps, but I'm not sure how well that'd work out and if I fuck it up, I'm out 40 bones
What's the best place grab the Bandai Stormtrooper kit?
>>6018243
no, it's a hinge that allows the shoulder pad to move. Hardly noticeable.
>>6014575
Why is this pic gone?
>>6012510
2nd ones pretty good. Rest suck.
>>6013730
Figma sucks with realism, but does game and anime really well.
>>6019129
Amazon has it, and a few other online stores. You can also check ebay or your local hobby shop.
Being that it's a readily available release in Japan and all of Asia, I'm sure you can find one for regular price + shipping.
>>6019179
>Amazon has it
That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure if there was a better / cheaper option. Thanks anon.
>>6019269
Depending on where you live, it might be cheaper buying from ebay. Some are legit hobby stores that won't charge above MSRP.
>>6019141
because 4chan has an unofficial downvote button, which some sensitive people on /toy/ use to report anything that triggers them.
>>6014253
I actually love how clean figuarts Jango looks in person.
>>6019449
I love clean looks too.
Shading and paint wipes is for chumps.
>>6019141
I have your back anon
>>6012477
>let's compare storm trooper toys with another storm trooper toy
>theyre different
>>6018715
hey man, promo shots and all, but this COULD very well be the one. The feet look just hair too tiny, but we'll have to see
>>6019129
Go to the fridge, grab and egg and put decals on it. It's just as sturdy
>>6012477
Haven't seen whinier fans than Star Wars. Gets all kinds of options and toy lines and waste their time complaining about the ones they don't ever have to buy.
Also, will throw fits if you call their beloved movies overhyped or shitty, especially ep VII.
>>6020189
I hope so, but you gotta look at the promo images for the original Stormtrooper. The sculpt was just as bad. I find it rare for Figuarts to not come close to the promo images and prototypes no matter how good or shitty they are
>>6012477
Is the second from the right the Revoltech? I thought Revoltechs all had that weird 2005 Doctor Who Actionfigure scale.
Anybody here with a Revo Darth Vader next to another figure, preferably the Model Kit Stormtrooper?
>>6020273
Revoltechs have been around 6 inches since 2012.
Vader is a little bit taller than the revo stormtroopers, but he's quite skinny and has a really shitty articulated cape and skirt
>>6020273
Revo Vader is a big guy.
>>6020279
that storm tropper on the right looks off compared to the actual revo, as in, it isn't as lanky
>>6020293
That's because I actually know how to pose my figures.
>>6020301
Can you pose him doing some dynamic stuff? I've been thinking of picking one up to have as a fun Vader out of display, but the shots I've seen aren't doing anything for me.
