Even Torca's name sounds metal. Or at least Prog rock. I can see emerson Lake and Palmer or King Crimson singing about The Torca, a bastard hybrid of sea and land who's coarse hide belies a cybernetic inside that looks like a demon made of steel.

Man I love this guy. He's one of the only shellformers that I would consider "successful". Plus all the pieces of his shell at least work as a weapon, there's a purpose to them. I'd want a MP of him, but I don't know what to improve.

After Sins of the Wreckers advancing biological alt mode tech, I wonder if we'll ever see him in IDW.

Oh also, has he ever had any reported problems with GPS? I worry about his brown plastic. I would be very sad to have him, of all figures, break.

Wolfwire really lived up to the hype.

Had to shave off a ton of shit though. The pegs on the hand covers and the cockpit cover are all way too big and make it impossible to open the hatches without applying hamfisting-amounts of force, and then there're those pegs on the spine that other anons pointed out before.

Not sure yet about the infamous breaking hatches. I can see that they definitely fucked up the integrity of the plastic when they shoved in the pin, but the hatch takes very little stress during transformation so it's hard to imagine it actually breaking.
>>
>>5992070
I miss the light piping too but it doesn't seem to be a universal thing; seems like most don't care.
>>
>>5992070
Honestly I hate light piping and would love this trend of painted eyes to continue.
I loath that all the original UWs limbs have this both on the front that I dislike the hollow look it gives the faces but the fact it breaks the formation and makes them really standout in a way like they shouldn't be there.
>>
>>5992143
It's one of those things that'll either happen immediately or never. It seems as though you lucked out this time, but be gentle with the hinge anywa.

>>
I'm really, really glad that the differences in deco/molding on TR and LG Weirdwolf are so negligible that it doesn't set off my autism.

If I had to deal with buying and returning LG Weirdwolves until I got one with hinges that don't break I'd lose my god damn mind

When Peter Cullen was heading into his audition for Optimus Prime he asked his brother, Vietnam veteran Cpt. Larry Cullen for advice on how to sound heroic. His response was that you don't need to be a Hollywood action hero to be courageous, sometimes it takes real courage to be gentle. Peter Cullen's portrayal, inspired by the words of his brother, have served as the inspiration for every interpretation of Optimus Prime, and the Transformers franchise in general, ever since.

Be fearless.
Be kind.

I have the Sentinel Mega Zarak, essentially the same toy. Picked it up during an HLJ sale for $150 shipped. It's pretty.. big. Definitely a size king. Pretty damned articulated, and the joints are stiff. Like this thing could lift its 1/3 weight leg, keep it up there and balance on the other one. Impressive, to say the least

There are 3 ways this can go
>A.Wife complains about over spending even when you set a budget due to hoarding habits
>B.Shares home with parents due to living circumstances but pays bills
>C.Shares with roomies who are known to steal shit

In all honesty I'm B (I had a friend who was a C and I can imagine A being realistic), I could of moved out years ago, its more a promise to my mother and revenge on my cheating father, otherwise I'd either live in a share house with some friends, or moved to a third world country with my mother and live rent free and be the ultimate neet.

>>5992943
The obviously infuriated father I live with, by doing it this way it stops him from throwing them out upon arrival because parcels tend to arrive when I'm not home, once unboxed and in my room he can't touch it because last time he tried he stepped on a lego land mine I set up for robbers (shit suburb, also shit post men who sign off packages and throw them into fucking bushes unlike my pal who's in an upbeat suburb)

He threw out my g1 toy boxes one day despite being flattened out and NES cart boxes because it was trash

I don't care what he thinks, I only care he takes his anger out on toys since he can't take me on in a fair fight

TLDR there is a war going on here and I'm winning just by existing

Just the core 10 pilot characters would be fine but I'd be remissed if we didn't see an MP Tigatron or Inferno. Fellow apartmentfag here. I order stuff from HTS and BBTS occasionally. Both have shipped to 3 different apartments that I have lived in.

Generally, when you include your apt. # in the address (like I assume you would), it will be delivered right to your doorstep.

And if you aren't there to get it, it will either be sent to the apartment's main office, or the post office nearest you, for you to go get later.

Deluxe Groove, Slingshot, and Prowl all have been delivered to me directly. Wildrider is the the only one I had to go retrieve from the P.O. a bit later, and that was a painless process.

Just got Hasbro Computron last week, currently awaiting delivery of 3rd party add on for him.

If they could manage to get the beast mode head to become his robot mode chest so that he can have an empty dino torso to store robot mode legs in (and an empty robot torso to store dino arms in), then I don't think it would be impossible.

A Dinobot toy will never look perfect, I'd just be happy with seeing the absolute best they can accomplish.

If anything, I think a Terrorsaur MP would be even worse. His transformation in the show is basically just a glorified animation for replacing a pterodactyl model with a robot model, there's no rhyme or reason to him.

>>5993044
There's no need for the tail to be any part of the transformation. Both in toy and in the show his entire tail comes off to become his sword and "shield". Its a complete non-issue for his transformation.

I was just thinking they might've screwed the pooch on scale just yesterday. There's really not that many big ass characters that are likely to get made.
>>
>>5993197
Without getting into transmetals and fuzors, Dinobot, Tigatron and Megatron are all pretty huge.

And Rhinox is pretty huge too, He's just more wide than he is tall.

I'm sure they'll find an excuse to sell at least one BW MP at 200$ though.
>>
>>5993184

I'm never one to say a design is impossible but 1st season Rattrap would be pretty close. I have faith they can do the tiny backpack well enough but there's still the entire bottom portion of the rat mode that has to come from somewhere. A bottomless Rattrap would look like shit when it stands up and if it has that MP moniker it better damn well stand up.
>>
>>5993207

God I wish Japan liked Metals more I'd rather we get TM Megatron if anything. Here's hoping they at least get his arms right.

Something about the purple trex boots with high heels look just never agreed with me.

Looking at his generations toy makes me seriously question how they could improve on it.

With a little more panelforming they could totally shrink the backpack, but I have no idea hwo they could possibly fill the rat forms underside. Possibly with a panel that would lever out of the robot mode's torso while in rat form to hide some robot bits, I dunno.

>>
>>5993221

They could probably hide half a stomach panel in the backpack and maybe another under the rat head but that's a crazy small scale to try and work with.

I love the generations mold to bits but it could've been a must have if they didn't go so cheap. Wish he didn't shelfwarm so hard so we could get updated designs of the rest of the cast.

LeoPrime is a BW2 character.

>Well, Leo Prime is a BWN character, seen how Masterforce-Victory heavy TR is I was expecting A3 to get repainted into V Leo.

If you have seen the internet posts about how the design artist explained the conception and planning for A3, it's pretty clear they didn't think that far. Victory Leo is only an idea if you approach from a fandom let us remold it angle, but if you approach it from the designer perspective where it was designed as a lion former original for Combiner Wars and the space shape was added on later for Broadside for Titans Returns, it kind of explains why Leo Convoy was the choice.

Skullcruncher's loose problem is supposed to be with his hip ball joints? On my copy he seems to be quite fine actually.

Funny enough it's his left thigh swivel that's deathly loose, but he can still stand pretty well.

If you haven't picked up one yet due to fear of the loose legs, I'd suggest pick up a copy and try your luck.

What brand of plastic cement is best for fixing cracked 5mm ports? I'm attempting to repair some CW figures- I have GW plastic glue and Tamiya Super Thin Cement. i have heard that this stuff called Plastic Weld is ridiculously good for fixing cracks.

Speaking of CW, the intact figures I've got are Silverbolt, Firefly, Dragstrip and Rook. Selling them isn't really an option (they're not in good enough condition) so I was thinking once I've got an airbrush setup of doing some custom work to them and making them into a combiner team of obscure characters/literally whos/OC donut steels (Rook will probably go unmodified since he fits the bill well enough). Any ideas on what the other members of the team should be made into, and who I should get as a fourth limb (and what he should be made into)?
>>
>>5994056
This is why I'm getting the Takara version. If Hasbro wants my money they can fucking give me the figure, not make me drive across the country or pay scalper prices. Takara will cost as much as a scalper, but it's not a scalper getting my money, I get a comic that might have this qt in it and I get the Titan Master vehicle, while Hasbro get nothing and like it because they can't fucking distribute shit properly.
>>
>>5994360
shit man where are you? If shipping fees don't rape it and you rather have the CW I can try and help middle man you one
>>
>>5994362
New Zealand. We don't even have Brainstorm here at all, and in addition to the scalpers wantinh scalper prices, I have yet to find one that doesn't use the global shipping program and therefore cost as much again, if not more than the already scalper marked-up toy.
>>
>>5994365
Holy shit that was insane, I just dabbled around a few mailing services using a store address in Hamilton and the shipping fees are insane no wonder exclusives are such a sensitive subject it can out right block you from getting a toy at a sensible price
>>
>>5994369
Shipping to NZ from the US for a figure the size of Brainstorm, plus Brainstorm himself isn't likely to wind up being much, if any less than the import price from Japan. What less it is would be made up for with the comic, vehicle and generally superior Takara qc. Thanks for the offer though.

I don't tend to get triggered if I can avoid it, but with Brainstorm being an actual member of the main 4 headmasters, he's somewhat of a must have. Fortunately Most exclusives are simp,y repaints that I don't really need, but when you have main characters like Brainstorm and Wildrider it can be annoying. Slingshot I got via Unite Warriors Superion, though I got the rest of Menasor via Hasbro (mostly from BBTS and Amazon because no wave 2), so I ended up paying about twice local retail for Wildrider.
>>
>>5994374
>generally superior takara qc
So you're just a Takaracuck in general then.
>>
>>5994377
No, I normally buy Hasbro locally. I usually only go for Takara if I have a specific reason to, in this case the lack of local stock and unwillingness to support scalpers or give Pitney Bowes money. Superion was in part due to Slingshot, but mostly due to the 5 figures being slightly cheaper than local shelf price. I'm not sure it worked out cheaper in the end though.
