Are there any cool starship/fighter toys and/or display models that aren't model kits that need to be painted? To be honest, I'm really looking for detailed display pieces but don't know where else to ask, but high quality toys would be cool too. Preferably not Star Wars related, but anything cool is welcome.

Well since a lot of the video game classics were all about space combat, the Shooting Game Historica collection comes to mind. A bit hard to find at a decent price though, thanks to its limited production.

The vehicles from the new Thunderbirds series are pretty cool, specifically this light and sound toy of Thunderbird S (No. 6).

Roommate has this Bandai Tamashii swordfish, it's die cast parts, and it's pretty nice. Pretty expensive these days though

If you don't mind building blocks, there's this, with a working cockpit and minifig included.

Not a toy, it's a ship from Star Citizen.

The Mass Effect ships have some good die cast models, you can find them in Amazon.

The reimagined Battlestar Galactica series also birthed a lot of nice die cast fighters and capital ships.
