As far as money saved on an initial purchase; Thirty bucks for a Polynian Clover, after I'd missed out on the releases and the price started shooting up.

Or for a deal including buying and recouping; a lot of about 6 Queen's Blade Revoltechs for $50 that had been cannibalized because the seller wanted to make a "do not steal" character of their own out of various parts. I ended up with a complete Menace with all the accessories for myself, and a couple of "custom" figures I was able to sell to someone else for a little more than what I paid for the lot.

Sure, but it's still butt-ugly. The Yamato one in the OP is much nicer.

50 bucks for Tomato Sheild Liger. The add on cannon set actually cost me more than he did. He's still one of my favorite bits of diecast, too.

My Yamato 1/24 Patlabor Ingram 'Alphonse' for CAD $69.83 back in '09, all because someone at 'Diamond/Previews!' order magazine very much messed up, and charged my comic shop for it as one of the Bandai MG Patlabor Ingram kits(though $70 for one of those kits?!) apparently...

Sad to say I was hardly composed at the luck of the situation, and so was jokingly known as 'That Fainting Kid' by the rest of the shop's regulars until I moved pretty much hahaha!

Still it was a colossal stroke of luck, as ONLY because of this; I was able to spring for a full-priced 28000 Yen(CAD $358 at the time, and not even counting shipping/customs...) Ingram Unit-02 off slow-as-molasses HLJ when that was released.
