There's certainly a market for it, especially NECA and Star Wars stuff, but it's pretty niche. Although a lot of the big online retailers like Amiami import American toys for sale to Japanese audiences, and magazines like Hobby Japan have monthly sections for American stuff, so the demand is evidently there.
