Fuck am I stupid.

How do I get this helmet out of the trash can? I tried sliding a knife in, hot water, etc. to no avail. I'm afraid if I use cooking oil or soap I might damage it. I was suggested to drill a hole through it, but I'd rather not fuck up the piece.

Because Lego is the only one with good brick quality.

>checked two TRUs and two Walmarts, but didn't check any Targets
Well, I guess I know where I'm checking next.
>>
>>5836259
Its weird, Target sometimes has either old sets that have been retired (ones from like 2012-2013) or they get the new ones early or before other stores stock them.
In my experience at least.

Its better than Post Exchanges at military bases. The base that I was at always had really shitty stock. Shelves would either be empty or have sets that I'm not interested in buying.

I always liked the gems/transluscent pieces and just enjoyed looking at and building with them. Especially in the ice planet 2002, arctic, adventure series and more recently the nexo knights which got me back into Lego. The elves series seems to have a lot of these kind of components so they look very nice to me

that giant armor is brilliant.

It would just make the inside diameter of the can smaller. Thermal expansion works both ways.

>>
>>5836278
I think it's cool that Nexo Knights has given us a trans-neon orange lightsaber blade, which we had previously only seen on the first mini Podracers.
>>
>>5836100

Because Lego needs to have the actual ideas for the chinks to rip off in the first place.
>>
>>5836292
I agree. with them you can essentially make your own in-universe space marines and chapters, even the size and proportions are about right.

I gave it a shot. Its fragile as hell and theres plenty of room for improvement, especially with new pieces.
Shame i didnt have enough of these in white. oddly enough, I know that i have the piece missing here in white, and I'm pretty sure I had the upper arms in white too.

As is, I wouldnt say the design is worth the trouble of bricklining unless the idea of having an idea book skeleton is a huge appeal.

Ok so I essentially just got free LEGO for pissing.

In germany we've got this system where you pay 70ct to use the restroom at a gas station and you receive a 50ct voucher in return. I've been collecting these coupons for three years and finally got enough to get free LEGO.

How did I do?
>>

This is why lego has quality problems. Lego pays a living wage in Europe, china uses slave labour.

anyone buying bootlegs is killing lego.

>How well do the shooters stay on?
Very securely. Bigger problem is triggering them all the time.
>>
>>5838214

Just get started, by type, divide into categories as you go along.

plates
bricks
building stuff like arches, doors and windows
small stuff like 1x1 pieces
minifigs and accessories
vehicle stuff like doors and wheels

Then subdivide those piles until you've got manageable categories. Check walmarts/hardware stores/whatever for cheap storage, stuff like pic related is very useful. It's a pain in the ass but worth it, building is nice when you don't have to dig around for parts.
>>
>>5838251
How many boxes should I have, ideally? How many types would you say there are?
>>
>>5838279
Can't say, depends on how specific you get with the sorting and on the size of your collection.

There's a bunch of types. I use those 5-drawer desktop units and these; look around and see whatever fits your needs.

>>5838244

Hmm, there's not much of a story to go with it. I think turning Lego into a job just gave me an excuse to justify obsessing over it even more.

The worst part of the job was parents using the store as a free daycare, even though there's a sign saying not to leave your kids unattended. Or the parents who get mad at YOU when their kid vomits on the brick table.

Found one tonight. Just finished putting it together. The plastic is not good. It felt like putting a KRE-O set together. And the weird orange color is different shades across different pieces and some of them are even somewhat translucent.

I don't know if this shit was made in Mexico or what... this was the first time I have ever built a LEGO set where the bricks wouldn't go together. I had to force them.

Unless one of you anons knows where I can get strips of the plastic rods that LS blades are from. Nah, lego is definitely relying more and more on their chinese factories for shit (the same factories that use their molds to release their sets months in advance..)

ALL of the S16 figures I have got so far are definitely cheaper plastic. More loose than the regular shit, plastic almost feels greasy, very similar to an ali express order that hasnt been cleaned, fresh out of the bags.

Shit, the legs on my two Rogues and my NANA man are loose as fuck. they almost sway freely.

Never in the world. If not the bridge, go for something completely different, like the superhero movie sets, Creator 3-in-1, Nexo Knights or 2015 Pirates on clearance.
>>
>>5840593
The build looks standard and I would say it's the worst version of the Sith Infiltrator aside from 1999. Just bricklink Qui-Gon or his poncho. Maybe just buy some cloth and cut out the poncho, it's some weird wool material like CMF Dschengis Kahn and Leias poncho. Better yet, get Tydirium with Leias poncho, I think you can hide the camo green prints by turning it upside down.

Anakin is like in 6 sets, including the still somewhere available Naboo Fighter. Wattoo is only in the prodracer set but not really rare or popular, even if you cared about the figures it would be a better deal to buy it all from Bricklink.

I would say Tydirium or Web Warriors Bridge, the best sets available right now that aren't S@H sets like Modulars.

I can't imagine being so beta that I would care what a register jockey would think of me, much less concocting a scheme to trick a worker into thinking I'm not buying it for myself.

You guys need to work on your self-confidence.

If a cute female worker asks if it's for someone else just say
>Yes, it's a gift. For you!

Slow and boring right now /lg/.

Whats everyone working on or got coming down the funnel and what are your plans for it?

I'm picking up King's Castle on the cheap from a CL listing. By default its low on manpower so I plan to but 5 more soldier from a BL seller. Contemplating doing a small space MOC if I can piece something together from my limited brick selection.

Also just finished building this. Its a wolfpack mech. Built from the Castle Mixels and the Clinkers.

>AFOL shopping day
What is this?
>>
>>5841674
AFOL means a Adult Fan of Lego. Its a day they give you as an adult, discounts I guess.
>>
>>5841676

Yeah, I know what an AFOL is, never heard of an AFOL day at a LEGO store though...

Noice! I got that exact set from the swapmeet for $50 about 6 months ago.

Cool, doesn't include the box but does have instructions. Did you modify the openings in the back of the tower? I'd like to seal up the treasure and throne room and open them up from the front instead.

Not that guy but at my local store they only let afols buy on afol day so that they don't intimidate the children. Even on afol day they only let me get one friends set last time
