I'm tempted, /toy/, but I'm new to this hobby.
What are the chances of be being able to resell and get my money back in a year or two? Do SDCC exclusives usually go up in price over time or are they as high as they'll go right now due to hype?
It's only going to go up in price unless they release a third Broly which they won't.
Id suggest just getting a job as opposed scalping toys
Just buy the regular version.
The color difference is so slight and its going to be half or even a third the price of the sdcc version.

They will only drop once the hype dies off.

Don't worry about resale. It might get you some quick cash in a pinch, but in the future you'll regret it.
I had a lineup of pic related back in 2013, and then sold them all last year for $400 because I was in a pinch. Not pictured was an unopened Cell, which was also sold. Vegeta alone sells for $300 now, I got him for $40 back in 2013.

Isn't the regular one like 2x it's original price at this point anyways?

>Vegeta alone sells for $300 now,
*MAYBE* on eBay once in a while, but the stupid spics caught on with the premium and 2.0 it's down to like $100 and hardly moves.
