Which ones are you eyeing? Some are damn pricey these days.

Anyway, some stuff you should know: If they have a Legacy of Revoltech version, get that version. The reason is, some of the QB line was made before Revoltech switched up their joints for better ones, meaning the early members of the QB line suffered from shittier revo joints. The Legacy re-releases fixed that, but not every figure got a re-release.

Atop that, some figures were also released AFTER they fixed the joints, so some of the later figures in the line have the good joints by default.

Pic here is Echidna. She never got a Legacy, AND she has the shit old style joints. Mines hip joints are floppy as a motherfucker.

Nanael has a re-release for her 1P color (ie: blue hair), her red hair doesn't. None of the 2P colors do, AFAIK. Airi has a Legacy as well, though unlike most of the other QB figures, her dress doesn't come completely off, her tits have a molded on corset around them, but you can see her breasts still? I dunno, I don't own her.

Menace doesn't have a Legacy. Menace is also one of the most expensive figures, up there with Melona, and the book pack-in only trio of Branwen, Annelotte, and Aldora.

Far as how they are, it really depends on the joints. Even the older, shitty-joint-only figures can have decent joints, it's kind of a crap shoot. Echidna usually isn't too expensive though, so you might as well nab her if you really want her.

The sculpts are all around good, and they've got a lot of poseability, though sometimes it can be a bit restricted by the rubbery-plasticey clothes some of them have, but it depends on the character, and the damaged outfits usually are a lot less restrictive too.

Echidna, for example, doesn't have rubbery-plasticey clothes. Her bra is hard plastic, as is her snake thong. They come off, though she has molded(?)/painted bra detail on her back, though none on her front so you can post her nude from the front with no trouble if you want.

Not pictured is Menace and 2P Echidna. Echidna's joints aren't the worst, be she definitely needs to use her stand. Menace's joints are the worst, though. What's a good resource to swap out the fleshcolored revojoints?

The Legacy Cattleya is pretty damn great, really recommend her. Branwen is also pretty great. Melona also suffers from the older joints, but her design is very cool, and I like her.

Aldra should have good joints, she was among one of the last figures released. Getting flesh colored revo joints is a pain in the ass though, I dunno the best way to do it.

I dunno, Airi's weird, and I don't own her so I don't know exactly how much comes off on her, just that she has a thingy molded around her breasts or something.

IIRC people in the Daibadi thread said you could use her dress on the Polynian stuff, so maybe it's more removeable than I think, I dunno. Not too clear on her to be honest. Also seconding Cattleya being great, she's probably my favorite.

I lucked out with Branwen, got her for $50 at HLJ about a year and a half ago. Menace I also lucked out for $45 on Mandarake. 2P Echidna was also about $35 a month ago.

Sigui, but I totally have a nun fetish, so I might be biased. She's also one of the ones her dress restricts her torso a bit with, because it's pretty thick. Upside though, she was made after the joint fixes, so she should always have the better joints.

My Echidna kind of needs it because mine's hip joints are shit and I should probably just replace them already with any color joint since if you post correctly you won't be seeing inside the hip anyway, but I dunno if I have any sized to her hips.

The rest only really NEED the stands if I'm posing them in ways that'd cause them to tip over, or putting a lot of weight on them somehow. I usually keep the stands plugged in though just because it keeps me from having to store stands somewhere else.

Airi ,and the initial few wasn't designed to have clothe removed, but to be part swapped into their "M" mode, which is their "defeated" state, being in ripped clothing. As a side effect this results in removal of clothing later on, and also depending on their design. For Revos like Airi and Leina they have peg holes to swap out their clothe pieces.

They are very good in terms of posing and quality though, I've never watched the series just bought them years ago on a whim due to their designs.

When someone says floppy, what does it mean? I thought the point of ratchet joint is to exactly prevent the floppyness. Is it floppy on the direction of the rachet joint, or is the peg floppy so that it comes off easily?

I don't have a single Revo joint that is floppy on the direction of the joint, but then again I don't have these older QB semen demons. I only have Legacy Cattleya and Branwen.

The older 6mm joints were made up of 3 pieces and had ratchets. Then the quality of the mold degraded over time and the ratchets were worn down at the source most likely. The degraded joints are loosely held together, ratchets non functioning, and the tension from the twist at the swivel often results in the joint coming apart.

It's still a hit or miss for quality, but since older QB used many 6mm joints they have a higher probability.

Transformable VF-1 Revoltechs were a disaster as well.

Boost Alice is my personal fave. Great hands for for guns and other weapons, doesn't have that ugly split mid section (My only complaint about Echidna) Didn't care for the hair though so modded that.

The Grimoire series is still going on, at least for the books anyways. Or do those not count for you? There was OVA attached to them too and that was recent, might be more in future.

QB haven't really stopped making new content, it's just everyone stop making action figures early on. They're still making some statue figures so it's not dead but new content has not rejuvenated merchandises so far.

It's better than what you would expect is the common opinion I think. The anime series gets harder to follow with all the special edition DVDs that came with books, but they tend to be self contained stories so I guess order after the 2 seasons is not that important.

I'm pretty sure the QB Revos were not tied to the Animes, because they do actually over lap in on-air schedule and releases, and I doubt the studio and Kaiyodo worked out details in anyway, besides the dates.

So Kaiyodo have no clue who does what in the anime. Otherwise they would have put more effort into releasing Risty and Tomoe and ignore other girls they released.

I think they picked by design, how easy it is to translate into Revoltech, and maybe book sales number.

Another echidna anon here, just pulled out all of her problem joints and am going to swap them with a legacy release airi I'm waiting for in the mail. Only thing I'm worried about is if airi has the same type of double joiny in her stomach as well. I figured if not I could go with alleyne instead.
