The Xovergen Godbomber was just kick in the nuts man.
The Super Ginrai mode is okay at best and really couldn't complain at the time since no one else was doing it.
But when they released Godbomber and couldn't even combine with Super Ginrai with ACTUAL Ginrai in it that was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Sold my Henkei Prime (Ginrai) and the trailer as well like a hot potato before most people figured it out.

Random thoughts: anyone thinking Hasbro is forcing them to wrap shit up, at least in terms of MTMTE's being forced to wrap up their storylines, to get ready for a big push for Titans War and it dominating the series in a couple of months?

In the last couple of issues, MTMTE:

1. Revealed that Dominus was the DJD's pet fox and had some super-duper bullshit where after whining about finding him endlessly, Rewind suddenly decides to kill Dominus AND maim Chromedrome?

2. Overlord showing up with ZERO build-up, presumably to kill him off once and for all

3. Tarc and the DJD shitheads finally having a fight with the MTMTE cast

4. Tarc's bullshit mystery identity garbage no one cares about because Tarc is a shitty character even worse than Drift in the OC Don't Steal department

5. The cast being culled to around ten, with the mutiny storyline getting rid of the dead weight cast wise.

We got Sentinel Prime coming up on deck, we know that from the previews; am I the only one thinking they will be sending the MTMTE guys that were betrayed by Getaway to Earth to pad out the Earth force while moving Prime and the main TF book back to Cybertron for more intrigue with the council?

For the longest time Tripredacus and Magnaboss where considered some of the best combiners. Rail Racer still holds up really well, with the unfortunate aspect of the member that forms the leg portion . And armada Perceptor was one of the tightest designs in armada. RiD's Build team isn't that bad either. I don't think it has a bad a track record as you think.

Helex:maybe could be done at voyager size: A double walled tube with LEDs in the innermost tube. Between the 2 walls put some orange goop and small bits of plastic that look like crushed circuit boards. pressing down on a button lights the LEDs and turns the tube. If has/tak wanted to go cheaper, skip the tube and just mold a clear orange plastic cylinder with "junk" and "flowing molten metal" molded into it, but keep the LEDs Mount the whole thing on a cement truck and design it so that the smelter becomes Helex's torso.

I'm fine with most of the deluxe headmaster toys, infact I'm waiting on the hasbro ones though brainstorm better get a solo release (not a fan of the cockpit paint apps on windblade).

And going full takara on just about everyone else, I'm loving tr and the new legends equally.

AND THEN WE HAVE ASPERGO, if that crown came out further I would love this guy, detachable arm cannon, decent proportions, g1 accurate cannon mode, and the headmaster painted up like megatron is choice, now I'm on the fence because of ONE gimmick that's holding me back.

Here's what I think it needs to be improved.

1. The little wings on the robot mode should be able to rotate around for the vehicle mode and be able to rotate up atleast 45 degrees

2. The nosecone piece on his back should be able to point up and the guns on it should be removable on 5mm pegs.

That's the bare minimum changes I think he'd need to be better, I'd rather he didn't have a fin and I wish that back bit was more blockey, but that's the least of it's issues.

Anon A doesn't like paint apps on an area that may be affected by friction, I was pointing out that the mini robot (who is, a TITAN master) folds up into the back of the main robot head, meaning minimal paint app damage

The head of the mini robot/titan master/head noob is the only place that'll be damaged, and looking at both takara's and hasbro's fuck all of the eye paint is going to be gone.

Although I can ruin all arguments by saying only a kid would suffer, hasbro ones would be dominated by mostly plastic while takara's are pandering to a different audience, who would be more cautious with paint apps.

The entire robot would have be to hollow, and essentially be made up of fold out panels with city detailing on them. He wouldn't transform so much as each limb would open like a box, including the torso, folding out to form a sprawling cityscape.

It would also be wildly out of scale with everything because of this due to being filled with tiny-ass buildings and skyscrapers with dedicated lanes for moving about Deluxe sized vehicles up and down, but at least it would look like a city.
