I popped the head off mine so I could put the scarf together separately.

Then came the nightmare of getting the head back on.

Do you guys ever switch the belts on your figures? Every time I try to rip a figure in half it comes apart at the ab joint rather than the waist and there's no easy way to remove the lower torso from the legs. Similarly I've tried to switch SHF Tajador's legs to the talons from the effect parts set but they come off at the hip instead of the thigh.

So after hearing Bandai America fixed some of the Thunder Megazord's problems and Toys R Us's recent 20% off promotion I decided to pick one up. Don't know if it's because of the lowered expectations but I like it way more than I expected to. It's still not perfect, but it's pretty damn good, and certainly an improvement from the clunky mess that was the original.

i can only speak to the OOO SICs that I own. (not my photo)

sagozo is my favorite for his sheer bulk and muscle. dude is ripped. i only collected figuarts until that point and seeing him next to shinkenred was what sold me on the line.

tajadol lost blaze is the version fused with ankh and i like his huge overcompensating wingspan. the wings are so massive that sometimes they get in the way of each other though. and i can understand not being a fan of the gold highlight in his hair or the ankh hand.

latoratah is the most recent release and he's okay. nice agile speedster recon unit, although his cheetah legs are a disappointment. they aren't terribly sturdy and the proportions of his lower half just make him look like he has a fat ass.

shauta is the one i'm most split on. on one hand, his normal mode is very lackluster, his shoulder fins inhibit his head articulation, and his legs can barely keep him standing. however, i think he has the best beast mode because the tentacles look monstrous as fuck. that coupled with the eel whips and he turns into this eldritch abomination.

not into putotyra or burakawani, so i'm done with my OOO purchases.

Burakawani I can attest to as being a very nice figure. It's patterned with scales, armor, and has a solid shield option to make him a knight when you use his giant sword. He doesn't have a form change in the same way because his leg swap is a giant alligator head which means he has to be in a stand to kick.

i would think about it like this.

you could get the SHF, which is show accurate and less expensive.

or you could get the SIC, which is a bigger figure, really stylized in normal mode, and comes with even more play value with the beast mode AND the change form gimmick. i don't think the SHF figures can do that, so the SIC figures come off as the definitive edition of OOO figures
