Welcome to /pbbg/, the plastic building block general, where if you're not interested in Mega Bloks, then it's maybe a little bit of an uphill battle.

Can anyone help me ID where these are from? They don't look like Best Lock to me, but I could be wrong. The plastic and studs are very rigid and they are military themed.
>>5603479
>Nobody knows.
Yeah it seems like MegaBloks releases are random and quiet.
Sometimes the MemeBook page posts stuff as "available in stores now!" but that's no indicator of what I've actually seen on shelves in Orlando.
Yo, I've never been big on Mega Bloks but I am going to be on the Destiny ones like stink on shit. Too bad they don't seem to be doing as many Titans, I'd love to try and build my main.
>>5603841
Ok they answered me at The Bloks Forum. This braind is called Blockmen and they are a military theme from 1998.
>>5607493
brand* What do you guys think?
>>5607495
The figures look kinda weird.
>>5607495
Eerily racist. Well done.
Finally got around to getting some decent pics of this guy. Debating on getting him a vehicle, anyone have any suggestions?
>>5609500
He's a cool guy, and he doesn't afraid of anything
>>5609500
Looks fucking amazing. I'd suggest the horse assault for a ride. Maybe add some horse armor.
>>5607493
I had a few of these!
Anybody know where to get some of these cheap Army knockoff sets? I could use some BrickWars fodder
>>5610908
Aliexpress or ebay are your best bets.

So sad. They had quite a lot of things planned..
Garrosh set, Orgrimmar, that bike you see in the back, the two dragons you see in this picture, a Pandaren dragon, a snow Gryphon..
>>5611887

New CoD set
>>5612242
Dammit I'm over this zombie crap. I'm really bored right now and want to buy some COD sets but I can't find any new stuff in my area except for horseback dude.
I really hope the Destiny sets come out before I am bored of the game again. "Year 2" has been so fucking barren.
>>5612242
>>5612414
I just know I'm going to feel obligated to get this because I already have the other two Nuketown sets.
>I've never even played the zombie version
>>5612420
Grandma, what are you doing, get out of that tank right this instant. You're off your meds again, aren't you you crazy bitch. Your cats need their meow mix right now, and these sweaters won't knit themselves.
>>5612418
Two sparrow sets are available online if you can find them.
>>5612242
>Still no Hellhounds, Wonder-Weapons (Other than the Raygun Mark II), Mystery Box or Juggernog machine
>>5610908
You should look for Enlighten military stuff.
Finally got round to assembling a Sluban Titanic today and wasn't impressed with the quality of bricks. The plastic seems too flexible and the bricks don't hold together.
Recently I ordered some SS troops from Alibaba with the intention of doing some head swaps etc and recently came across this.
Does anyone know if the scale wrong for Lego-ish minifugs considering the little CoD dudes are bigger/bulkier?
>>5613098
Mine is the same. I becomes a real problem where the hull connects to the decks, because there are only 2 connectors, neither of which hold, so if you don't pick it up in a very specific way the base and hull fall off and shatter into a billion pieces. I may end up just gluing some of the bicks on mine in place, since I wanted it as a Titanic toy rather than a brickset to disassemble and rebuild.
>>5613098
I got the jet, and yeah, same.
The brick separator is total adorbs, however.
Pyrates and Dragons were the best toy lines of Mega Bloks
>>5613102
Mega Bloks vehicle scale is about 1/24-ish.

Deacon's the robot, actually.
Looks like the Star Trek transporter room is out. Anyone know when the rest of the sets will drop?
>>5612242
>Still havent seen sets that were revealed last year
Wtf happened to Mega? Sets used to be in full stock everywhere and now even toys r us has been lacking for since 2014
>>5612460
One stpre had one of each. Theyre not available anywhere
Well, I finally got my arms shipment from aliexpress.
>tfw ordered on Valentines day
Never order from China around Chinese New Year, lesson learned.
>>5615991
>Well, I finally got my arms shipment from aliexpress.
Wait, they sell Mega Bloks weapons?
>>5616584
There's one seller who has a bunch of older MB in mostly bulk lots, I'm guessing "factory surplus" since these are definitely the real deal but yeah the lot I ordered is 50 assorted UNSC weapons, came to about $25 Cdn. Didn't have a Covie equivalent which is a shame and most of the guns are BRs but for my needs it's perfect.
>>5616598
Yeah, I've been wanting some extra Assault Rifles to arm my Halo figs with.
It's kinda hard to Brikwar when all they have is pistols.
Probably why I love these Rootbeer Halo Wars Marines so.

Um, no? What the hell's a Mattel account, I don't have one and successfully made a part request last month.
>>5617924
went to mega bloks, request center go to the part where you enter the part number and it doesn't matter if i click add or next it redirects me to mattel
>>5617933

>>5617947

clicking either add or continue redirects here
http://service.mattel.com/us/ContactUs.aspx
which only has the country options of USA or canada
>>5617957
I've figured it out, tried the same set and part and got the same result, tried a few more parts and some did the same thing but others added normally. Some of the parts have unusual codes (ie the one you need AS-CNG66-07) and they include the set number in them, probably cuz they're only made for that specific set. I think they're redirecting you cuz it's a request that can't be handled by the normal system and you'd have to make a request directly to Mattel.
I don't what you mean by "Mattel account" though, it's a pretty standard contact form displayed. You'll want to try the "International" link at the top, it leads to contact info for wherever you're at so that's probably the route you'll need to take for that specific part.

>>5618669
Hate to break it to you but they're amazing. The tolerance between the pieces is perfect.
>>5618785
"Can do... will do!"
>>5618678
They each come with a primary weapon, knife, and sidearm. There's a shitton of accessories like frags and flash grenades to customize their kit with though, you won't be disappointed.
>>5618905
I've ordered some of the SS troops and are hoping the printing/pieces quality is just as good. So many accessories, mortars, a dumb fucking minigun thing, ammo crates, sandbags, attack dogs, weapons for each man.
>>5619118
The faces of some of the German figures are printed kind of low, probably to account for the low hanging M35 helmets.
I don't think you'll be disappointed though.
>>5619132
>>5619137
>>5619140
Anyway, I hope these pictures give you an idea of the printing quality on these figures. I'm pretty impressed with them personally.
>>5619132
The faces were probably the only thing I'm not convinced about, I'll swap them out for yellow Lego heads, order proper helmets for each man.
>>5619142
My Brits look okay though, probably because the Brodie helmets sit higher.

Found these on clearance - about $30 for the three of them. I've put together the tower and the guard pack, not too bad really. Is the Assassin's Creed Line dead, though? Because if it's not continuing I might pick up a couple others.

Florida is just a serious problem area. It's an awful combination of high heat and humidity, dumb vacationers, old people moving there to die, the general southern redneck thing, and all the swamps allowing dangerous wildlife and criminals to hide.

>At least we got some Red Coats
I just bought these two as an impulse purchase at a grocery store of all places and damn they're fun for being so small.
My first MB purchase in years and they're so much better. I really want the rest of the series too now.
I also saw some Out of the Shadow sets there as well. They looked alright but the one with Shredder and Kraang tempted me. Might get it sometime.
>>5627171
>My first MB purchase in years and they're so much better. I really want the rest of the series too now.
The Collectors Classic TMNT figures are awesome, but the new series ones have less articulation.
>>5627178
I mostly meant the Classic Collection anyway.
Some other ones hold slight interest too, though.
>>5627181
Yeah, I think the Out of the Shadows figures also have the super articulation as well, but I've not gotten that close of look to be sure.
As for the Classic Villain Packs, Bebops' has much better armament than Rocksteadys'.
>>5627178
I'm pretty disappointed with them.
Thought it'd be nice little minifigures to play with, but their posing is so basic.
I really shouldn't buy building sets for the figures.
>>5627189
>Thought it'd be nice little minifigures to play with, but their posing is so basic.
The 2012 series figures or the Classic ones?
>>5627184
I'm probably going to end up getting both Bebop and Rocksteady sets. Will probably avoid Raph and Leo's solo sets since they come in the Krang set.
And yeah, the Out of the Shadows figures I saw seemed to have about the same amount of articulation as the Classic ones. I'm going to be mostly avoiding them since I'm not a fan of the Turtles' designs. Might get Casey and the Shredder and Kraang set, though. Kraang looks cool as hell.
>>5627193
The classics
Does the Nick one have better range of motion or something?
>>5627194
>Will probably avoid Raph and Leo's solo sets since they come in the Krang set.
I don't know about this, since I think the Classic Turtle Van comes with an Extra Mikey...

>>5628643
All the femspartans do, but they look bizarrely hot with their chest armor stripped off and their limb armor intact. Some kinda muscle girl fetish, I dunno.
I need to get some appropriately scaled female heads. I was thinking of seeking out some of those 2 inch avengers toys, or maybe some of those mysterious blindbagged DC and Marvel figures. I dunno what they're like in there, but I bet they could be handy.
>>5628650
they do have the same level of consistency. I've had plenty of missing parts from larger lego sets.
>>5628683
never thought of it that way now you mention it since I usually only buy small lego sets that would explain why there has never been any missing pieces. just random chance I guess then
>>5626633
>>5625121
Florida just has really open public records laws that allow the media to publish all the crazy "Florida Man" stories.
I can walk into 7/11 right now and throw down a 2 spot for a mug shot newspaper.
It's literally just a newspaper with mug shots of every person arrested and booked the past week.
Also
>George Zimmerman murdering unarmed teen
You don't get to slam someone's head into concrete from mount and then claim you were unarmed after you get shot. That's lethal force anon, and legally you can respond with lethal force in a free state.
>>5628706
it's usually only larger sets. only large megabloks set I'e bought was the only one missing a piece, the Covenant Phantom.
so it just has a lego piece in the place of the missing megabloks piece.
>>5628719
megabloks having such specialized unique pieces is both a blessing and a curse
>>5628619
You have to look for mega brands customer service and send them an email. There's no international part request website. it's still shitty, though. I bought a set in the USA that was missing pieces, i emailed them and they won't send the pieces to mexico. Fucking mega.

Just got the American Revolution fourpack. Man, I'm really sad to see the Ass Bloks go, and this was a really dire note to end the line on. I might have to find another set to buy instead, just so this isn't my last AC Mega Bloks purchase.
We've got three redcoats here, but only one of them is decently painted. The other two don't have the white on their coats, making them look like just some guys in red coats, rather than like Redcoats. In fact, the three of them have completely non-uniform uniforms, between their shirts, boots, gloves, hats, and coats. Normally I'm into that sort of thing, but with the coats in particular it just comes off as lazy. Plus, you only get three of them.
The terrain piece is nice, though a few of the pieces are kinda lazy. They have this piece, it's shaped like three barrel pieces stacked up, I don't know why they didn't just give three barrel pieces, unless the parts count thing is way more tight than I thought.
The flag sucks, too. Printed onto hard plastic.
The assassin's pretty good. He comes with a new piece, a tomahawk kinda shaped like the AC logo. His costume's nice, too. All in all, great assassin.
I always welcome more terrain, so that's going to fit right in with my collection, but the microfigs are a bit of a disappointment. On my desk, the french revolution soldiers (a *much* better set) are British navy, so these guys will be suitable as their marine buddies. Now I just need to build a boat big enough for them to have some Master and Commander adventures.
Thank god I only got it for retail. And, I guess, if I'm gonna have these guys as marines... I should probably get at least one more set...
Picked up the PBR off Amazon and it should be arriving tomorrow.
Too bad I can't find that Vietnam troop pack anywhere...
>>5650095
>MB is always half price every time I check
The bigger lines like Halo and CoD don't.
Some of the other weird shit that doesn't do well, like AssCreed got heavily discounted, and people still aren't buying it.
I guess only time will tell how well Destiny sets do. I hope it becomes as lucrative as the Halo/CoD lines, but it isn't nearly as popular or old of a franchise so I have doubts. Destiny doesn't even have a lot of vehicles designs, or cool locations. I just hope they end up putting out a bunch of different versions of the three classes, at least.

They go on sale every now and then, sure, but everything, even LEGO does from time to time.
They're not constantly on markdown.
>>5617916
Nigga wut? They replaced my Promethean knight missing a leg on my Cauldron Clash(all I requested was a right leg and they sent me an entire new minifig) and im europoor no need for an account
>>5649006
To be fair, Destiny is like 10 bucks nowadays. As long as he doesn't want to buy all the DLC he'll need to completely play it.
>>5651475
I saw the taken king legendary edition for $20 earlier, and that has everything
>>5652068
For 20 that's a serious amount of stuff
>>5650900
>They're not constantly on markdown.
Except here in DK they are
>>5652690
Ok, well, not everyone lives in Donkey Kong country.
Alright, before I get into my initial thoughts on the Cabal Interceptor Destiny set this is pretty much my first Mega Bloks buy in over a decade.
The vehicle itself is pretty much a 1:1 to how it looks in the game with a few minor inconsistencies. The build itself was slightly annoying, but somewhat satisfying. The Titan figure is probably the best part of this set. The articulation is astonishing for its scale, and the little details are really cool. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the sets.
>>5653839
I just got mine earlier today too.
I pretty much agree with most of what you've said. I've bought a couple smaller Halo sets in the past, though, even though I've never played Halo, just because I thought they looked kind of cool.
I've forgotten how crappy the pieces are, and how not great they fit together, though....I'm a person who buys a lot of LEGO stuff, though, so I am used to their quality standards, and this really isn't that close.
In the end, it didn't end up too bad. It was a lot more solid as a finished set than it felt while building it. I kind of hate the shitty, two-toned faux "swirl" of different colors in the pieces. Makes them look and feel cheap. The minifigures are fucking fantastic, though. Definitely the best part of MegaBloks, overall. I was mostly buying those aforementioned Halo sets because the figures were so cool.
All in all, I'll definitely be buying the other Destiny sets. One of my only real disappointments looking ahead is the lack of Titans, and the lack of minifigs for any bad guys other than a bunch of Fallen Captains...
>>5653851
Yup, buy lego for the pieces and mega bloks for the mini figs.
So I got Snake Eyes, Kruger, Solid Snake and a Walker Gear. What you got?
>>5655671
Is that katana from the ninja turtles? is so big.
>>5655792
Yeah, I try to use onlu mega pieces and weapons.
Found this at a Walmart in VA this morning, I didn't even know it existed! Looks like the new sets will come with stands for the figures
Front side. No other new sets just older sets in new packaging.
>>5656033
>> A new little diorama set
Hot damn! YES
>>5650826
Where can I get this
>>5656048
Yeah those are my favorites, I have a bunch stuck together
>>5656038
How can you even play with sets like that if there are no terrorists to shoot at?
>>5656226
>>Not making your own enemy figures from what is provided.
Do you even imagination or think for yourself?
>>5656256
>le you don't need to have anything to play meme
I might as well play with funny looking stones and don't buy kloki at all, but what the point?
>>5656226
Terrorists? No, my generic army dudes battle hopelessly against Transformers.
>>5656038
Goddamn!!! That is too fucking goood!!!
>>5655671
Faraam Knight
>>5655671
>>5656379
And Venom Snake. How'd you make the Walker Gear?
>>5656038
Have you opened it? In the current desert outpost set, the cap and the face are 2 separate pieces, is that the same for the guy included here?
>>5655671
>>5656379
>>5656382
LONG LIVE MSF
>>5656382
All pieces come from a claw, except the arm, which is random assorted pieces. Pic related.
>>5656617
Sorry amigo. Unless you want tablet potatoe cam photos.
>>5656617
I'm not sure what you want to see.
Here is a side view of it with a pic of the Titan and his weapons. Everything looks pretty good. This is the only set that comes with a Titan in this "wave" I guess. It is a Sunbreaker, which I mostly play as anyway, so that's neat.
>>5656617
>>5656668
Top-ish view. The figure fits in pretty well. I've heard some people say you have to really mess around to get them to fit, but I thought it fit just fine.
>>5656670
The front part opens up to reveal a little reactor/power source, which is kind of neat. The thrusters are all on a few different hinges to allow them to be posed in a number of different ways which is cool.
And the guns have quite a bit of articulation too, which is nice.
I like this quite a bit really. Like I said in my previous post, I'm really looking forward to how far they take this line. And I'm not even the hugest fan of the game.
>>5656674
I really like this feature for some reason. It reminds me of those car models you display with their hoods up. Though, I wish it had more transparent detail.
>>5656725
It was on Amazon for like a whole day-- there was also one of the Sparrows. But I was literally a clink away from buying it also before it disappeared.
I bought almost $100 worth of TMNT MB stuff waiting for Destiny sets.
Damn it.
>>5658869
Does Mega Bloks' always get sparatic release?
>>5658873
I really don't know. Other people have said in the past that they tend to just start showing up on shelves. No real street date, or release date.
>>5650102
As someone who's got the majority of the collector's line I can tell you no matter what, MB does go on special, a fuck lot.

>Futureshit Bow and Arrow
Nice, one step closer to a Hawkeye microfig. Might have to pick up some of those packs for the weapons and accessories
>>5661416
>Three Destiny classes
>Three customizer packs
>No Titan
Why are Titans so despised?
The tmnt movie foot soldiers are probably the best minifigs I've seen. Fucking amazing.
>don't even fucking LIKE Halo
>but I keep buying the figure blind packs
God DAMN it.
>>5662067
Yeah, those guys are pretty fucking legit as armybuilders.
>>5661416
>nine sets
>ONE titan
being a titan main is suffering
>>5658873
Yep. You never know when a wave may just pass you up. Where i live its suffering. No one has restocked since last summer it feels like
>>5662429
It is baffling as to why they did three character packs, and fucking two of them are hunters. Like, what?
Warthog
>>5662463

>>5662964
>Armored door pieces and a covered back section
Sweet Jesus.

>>5662964
Any photos of the new Tank they're doing?
>>5662988
No but i found this
>>5662996
>Ammo Boxes
>Pilots looking like they have working holsters
>All that firepower
>>5662996
Stupid sexy attack helicopter.
so wave 2 of the nick turtles blind bags just hit malaysia
only got the ones i wanted except for raph, that was a mistake
>>5663360
it's weird, we don't get COD, halo, classic turtles or any of the megabloks shit except nick turtles and sponge bob, and only the blind bags
>>5663368
>spike is severely undersized
he's the same scale as the turtles
>>5663389
forgot my pic
>>5663392
splinter has skirt articulations, it's not much but he can sit atleast
>>5663395
the mousers are goddamn adorable
i think they're probably my fave
>>5663410
feet and mouth are articulated
i'm probably gonna buy more to army build
>>5663413
last is hooded leo
his bow and arrow is actually pretty cool, there's an indent in the arrow to notch the rubber string
but because leo lacks elbows, he can notch the arrow convincingly
Turtles blind packs are turning out to be pretty cool
>>5661416

>>5662964
This look nice and all, but the previous one was wildly off scale. I know they aren't supposed to be replicas or anything, but it was as big as a tank, so having all vehicles in one place made them look ridiculous. Hopefully this is a bit smaller.
>>5662964
>that guy on the right
>bullpup parts
M-m-my hips are moving on their own!

>>5665059
The Krang Droid is also neat, if only for it's Exoskeletal appearance, squishy brain alien, and Chainsaw Bayonet laser gun.
>>5665085
i missed the boat on krang unless i buy those onine
TRU malaysia really really sucks
>>5665096
>TRU malaysia really really sucks
Hey at least you're getting the new stuff first.
My local Walmart is STILL trying to get rid of Halo Metallic Series 2 Covenant Drop Pods.
>>5665108
i don't think we ever had those
>>5665118
>i don't think we ever had those
They... aren't very good...
As you can see here, they were released JUST before they switch the Elites to Super Articulated figures.
>>5665124
atleast the spartans are on the new body
we had 1 wave of COD, 1 wave of warcraft and spongebob... that's it
so i was pleasantly surprised we got the nick turtle blindbags though i would like the classic turtles too
aw yee
>>5665262
Thanks senpai. If I get more gray parts, I might attempt to make METAL GEAR?! REX
>shots fired
>>5665126
>atleast the spartans are on the new body
Yeah, but that's why most of the ODSTs of the wave Sold, Copper with it's SMG and Backpack was a great ODSTs army builder.
Those poor Elites got whats left marked down to $2 USD.
>we had 1 wave of COD, 1 wave of warcraft
You might be able to make a killing reselling those...
>>5665476
I really hope we see more of this Bow and Arrow, it's a really nice set up.
>>5665493
Copper was just too sweet. Gold and Maroon in the new wave look pretty good too, still not feeling the teeth visor print though
>>5665555
>Copper was just too sweet. Gold and Maroon in the new wave look pretty good too, still not feeling the teeth visor print though
Eh, Maroon is probably my least favorite of the batch, mostly because he comes with a Sniper Rifle...
Still, better than the last wave where the ODST had a ROCKET LAUNCHER AND A SPARTAN LASER!
So yeah, I'm at least getting two of each from Series 4, possibly more for Gold, Silver for that CQC, and the Black Zealot to lead my Cobalt Minors that were re-armed with Plasma Repeaters and Beam Rifles.
>>5665059
this is just like my game of throne episodes
>tfw missed the Scarab
>tfw didn't shell out when it was $200
>tfw it shelfwarmed so hard we will never get another covvie Signature Series set
>>5666204
but anon, the scarab is trash.
>>5666204
I'm just bummed I missed out on the Forward unto Dawn. At least they'll be coming out with the enterprise soon.
The trailer for the Assassin's Creed movie is up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfJVoF5ko1Y
Given how some the Assassin's Creed sets shelfwarmed, what are the odds that we'll see movie-based sets when the movie comes out?
>>5666226
Why do people say this? I'm honestly curious, because I though it was a pretty stellar set as far as collectors seires stuff goes. I mean, yeah, it's around 3/5 the size that it should be scaled with figures, the interior is gimped, and the articulation is limited to like 6 places, but the likeness is pretty spot-on, and it's still massive despite the scale, probably the largest brickbuilt set I own. The only regret I have about buying mine is not buying a second one to kitbash into an even bigger scarab.
>>5666764
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfJVoF5ko1Y
huh, looks pretty good
>>5666764
I wish I was 14 again, then I could ignore how primitive the combat looks like.
>>5666764
It sucks there were no AC1 sets. I wanted some templars baaaaad, and now we'll never get them
>>5666764
we never had those horse sets here, goddamn
>>5666799
>it's around 3/5 the size that it should be scaled with figures, the interior is gimped, and the articulation is limited to like 6 places
That's why I dislike it, especially given the price. But I'll admit, "trash" was really harsh, I just don't like it.
>>5666764
Well, they've had no presence at toyfair, so I suspect there's no Assbloks in the future. On the other hand, McFarlane also showed no Asscreed stuff related to the movie, so it could be there's an embargo on toy info, in which case there could be a secret Assbloks movie toyline coming that nobody knows about.
Don't let that wild speculation get your hopes up, anon.
destiny minis are on taobao now
>>5667350
so are april and mirage leo
>>5667364
got a link?
>>5668659
Taobao. You can just type mega bloks destiny and you'll find them. Looks like that seller has sold out of half of the set though...
Huh. I bought the Destiny Cabal Interceptor a week ago (I'm the guy who posted these pics >>5656668 >>5656670 >>5656674) and I've been keeping an eye on Amazon to see if the other sets would pop up.
The Interceptor sold old, and it was just on amazon as "out of stock."
Now the pages for the Destiny sets don't even exist Amazon anymore. Weird.
>>5667840
Sort of. Except there's no auctions or bidding. You will need a proxy service (commonly called an "agent") if you want. /cgl/ has taobao threads often for clothing so you could always ask there if you want to know more.
>>5669033
I guess they're having some trouble behind the scenes. Most the releases be spastic as hell. I guess the places that sold them early got in trouble for doing so.
>>5669121
I doubt it. Limited promotion run. I hope since they sold out in hours theyll bump the realease from fall to summer
>>5661416
i love Atheon is standard Bionicle toa size. I'm hoping they'll do Crota as well and maybe Regicide Oryx. The only way King's Fall Oryx would work is if they made a big ass playset like the launch centre for the Halo Reach sets
Did megabloks ever make female figures?
>>5670611
They made female spartan torsos.
I just ordered the fucking Mega Bloks Warcraft helicopter for about 18$ because I lost one fucking piece of the original and Mega doesn't respond to my pleas. I am such an idiot.
