Can we have a thread about /toy/ approved toys?
Any toy from any toyline that is accepted by the majority of /toy/
I know a few right off the bat:
HFTD Lugnut
Shocker Toys The Maxx
Image 10th Anniversary Spawn
Pose Skeletons
Marvel Legends Pizza Spider-Man
NECA Cherno Alpha
anything bazinga, basically
Gotta have Revoltech EVA Unit 01, he was a poster child of the site for years
>media tie in toys
>>5562799
I've got a 18inch striker eureka I love that big bastard.
Revoltech Yotsuba
I believe figma link is the standard
>>5562962
>figma
>standard
>anything other than a generic anime moeblob
>>5562799
Mezco Batman
Revoltech Woody
Generations Voyager Springer
________ Iron Man
Fill in blank with your choice.
Isn't the SHF Kamen Rider Black kind of a favorite among bugmen collectors?
>>5563043
Nope. Kuuga renewal is.
>>5562962
What? No. Everytime the figure is brought up it becomes a shit show of people getting to told to go back to /v/. It also is the worst version of link.
For 1:18, everyone seems to love the Clone Wars IG-86
(myself included)
>>5562799
Revoltech Skelleton army
>>5562799
There is no majority.
Or at least there will always be a vocal minority.
>>5562799
Nendoroids cause so fucking cute.
Also what about that gashapon go-kart shit everyone's been hyped about?
>>5562969
seconding Mezco Batman
LEGOs are pretty much universally liked, but McFarlane and MegaBloks are great substitutes.
Revo Raiden
>>5563428
so close, yet so far
>>5562799
>HFTD Lugnut
you mean RTS lugnut? I dont know what you guys see in him. He's better than his Animated counterpart for sure, but he's missing a certain something that I feel i just bought him out of hype. one other thing is that he doesnt have that POKE feature somewhere
>>5563428
So close.
Bingo
>>5562962
That would be Miku.
>>5563447
i see myself as people see me
oh i just know there's something bigger out there
>>5563428
What happens if I get bingo?
I never win in anything.
>>5563563
Found this guy at like a TJ Max
fell in love instantly.
Who the fuck put Halo and Dr. Who on this list.
>>5563676
>dr. who
>halo
>two flavours of capshit
>TMNT
this was clearly made by someone who was way too into western toys. needs to be updated desu.
This needs 3A or BJDs(though I don't really collect it myself). Anyway, some of these I count as halfway because even though I own them I either haven't really touched them (gunplas) or haven't bought them in years(Lego).
Would totally get on the modern MOTU train if they were cheaper or available at retaile. As is I keep second guessing the decision to buy them. Missed out on the Big Lots stuff, too. They seem overpriced for what they are. I've been meaning to try out at least on PAK just because I like trying everything out, but Rorschach went out of stock on HLJ and there isn't much else I want. Will eventually get something from Busou shinki but I've got a crazy backlog as is. The existing Doctor Who seems pretty crappy.
>>5563682
Wut?
Half the crap there is Nipponshit.
>>5563682
I'd put toys to life on it. Maybe hipster garbage.
If we had spoilers this is the part where I'd add a cheeky 'or POPs.'
Alas, it is not a universal feature.
Also TMNT seems to be getting a steady stream of figures the last few years, but for all I know it's the same for Dr. Who and Halo.
>>5563703
What confuses me is why they have toy lines and properties on the same thing. Not to get too cheeky, but having a few funko pops knocks out like a third of that list.
>>5563706
Actually with POPs you could get nearly half of that. 11 tiles have a related POP vs 13 tiles that don't.
>>5563715
Hence why it should only be toylines.
I bought a figuart half to check out the line and half to make bingo.
I only crossed off MotU because I still have some of the original and 200X stuff, never actually bought any of the new MotUC figures, they just seems too expensive for what they are. I WOULD like to own the new Castle Greyskull though, but that's because I have other 1/12th scale fantasy figures and I do love me some playsets.
>>5563563
>one other thing is that he doesnt have that POKE feature somewhere
He actually kinda does with his spring loaded fist gimmick.

>>5563810
>GI Joe

>Hasbro Star Wars
>Toy Biz/Nasbro Marvel
>Hot Toys
>Mattel DC
>MOTU
are you actually a retard
>>5563820
Power Rangers is lumped with Sentai. Japanese. Hot Toys are from Hong Kong.
>>5563682
11 out of 24 are Japanese.
How many other toy lines does Japan have?
>>5563428
>>5563834
Gashapon should have been listed
>>5563847
Gashapon/Blindbox IMO.
>>5563428
>>5563834
Prize figures, Gashapons, Dollfie, Real Actionm Heroes, Chibi-arts, Stikfas, Microman, D-arts, B-Daman, Beyblades, Zoids, Ultra-Egg (or those transforming eggs in general)
>>5563894
>no xevoz
>>5562799
Drossel is the standard for mecha gals.
>>5563916
Seconding Drossel, she's a mainstay on the board
How has nobody said anything about Revo Stormtroopers? They're some of the most common pose-bait in photo threads.
>>5563428
Can't afford premium 1/6 shit. I haven't found a SAS I like enough to buy. I'm leaning towards Josuke or waiting for an Okuyasu rerelease
Dr. Who and PAK a shit tho
Someone make a new one with more obscure toylines i mean fuck this has been around since like 2009
>>5563428
Triple bingo.
>>5563936
>Can't afford premium 1/6 shit.
I feel you. It doesn't help that the only one I'm interested in is, of all things, Hot Toys The Octupus. If you're not sure who that is, it's the villain played by Samuel L. Jackson in The Spirit movie.
I thought it'd go down in price, being from an unpopular movie, but that shit is still over 200 dollar.
>>5563135
I think that's the best 1:18 figure made. It just looks so good and the poseability is awesome.
>>5563428
Shit I gotta step my /toy/ game up
>>5564054
It's partly due to the design I guess.
>>5563820
>power rangers and hot toys
you dun goofed
>>5562799
>Anything by Shocker Toys
>No Yotsuba or Danbo
I'm not even a weeb and I got a Yotsuba (the bug catcher one) purely because /toy/ sold me on that shit many, many years ago.
>>5563894
So dolls, mini statue-shit, kiddie battling games and discontinued stuff we never talk about?
When the card was made, it used the most popular common things that appeared on /toy/
>>5562799
why would i care what /toy/ thinks?
>>5563428
>>5563783
shouldve said, i wish is fists looked like this
The General Grievous LEGO figure.
It's $35 and definitely one fun build, even if you don't really like the character.
>>5563672
I remember going to TJ Maxx and finding Lugnut, Lockdown, Grappel and Deep Dive. I foolishly only purchased Lugnut and Lockdown, assuming that they'd still be there the next day (I'd picked up 5 figures that day and didn't want to overdo it) but I still regret not buying Grappel.
>>5563924
No they aren't. Those are the ones with the ugly ass helmets. The black series are the good ones commonly seen in photo threads.
>>5563894
How come almost no one ever talks about RAH? As 1/6 collector's shit goes they do some cool shit.
>>5566586
This is bait
