Yeah, theres some show designs that just won't look good in toy form. Takara Astrotrain is most certainly going to be a hunk of fugly grey with nothing to break it up at all in robot mode. I'm definitely going with Hasbro Astrotrain because at least it'll look decent.

Similar problem with UW Defensor VS CW Defensor. The UW is just missing a TON of detail because of the strict adherence to show colors for him. Of course, it's not always a bad thing. UW Menasor looks a lot better than CW to me, for example.
