TRU actually came through and they got to me in less than 2 business days technically. Ordered them when I saw the TRU Canada sale on Friday and now they're here. Question: I'm not sure if get CW Bruticus or wait for United Warriors Bruticus. Because I want the grey chest plate, I didn't really care much 'bout Blast-Off. But the color scheme is another thing, I want a Bruticus that reminds me the G1 toy, so grey chestplate.

I'm not sure if Takara choose for Brown chestplate, like the cartoon, or not.

The only problem I've had with it is the front of the car end doesn't plug securely into the combiner tab in car mode. I've had this issue with this brand new Sunstreaker, and my UW Deadend. Dunno if I'm trying to force it in wrong or something, or if it's just plain not going to tab in.

Before you bitch that it's nothing but nostalgia, just remember it's not that cheap to reissue something especially something that has electronics nowadays. G1 reissue of Devastator is actually as much as that Trypticon and Devastator only does 1/3 of what Trypti does. You're in a hobby where it attracts new and old collectors so even if you don't really think that anybody would pay $200 for a reissue, the demand is there cause of how mainstream it is.

You can thank Obama and the rising price of oil for that. No oil = no plastic and the chinks are getting smart and asking more money to work at their factories. If you follow the economy enough it's really easy to understand that at the most it's the retailers that are making the most since they do have to mark that up almost 100% to cover their overhead and they get it for sometimes cheaper from the wholesaler. I know this cause I was thinking of getting into the toy selling business so I had to research all of this.

the TRU reissues of the Autobot cars from 10 years ago, when prices were still low, were $30 apiece. Starscream was $35. For some reason that can only be counted as an odd fluke, Powermaster Prime, Prime & Magnus were only $50. PMOP was a steal compared to the cars.

The Platinum line is Hasbro knowing their fans are dumb enough to pay it, and of course you can buy most of those sets from eBay sellers in China for much less than what KMart is asking.

Okay I sanded down Tracks' hood peg with low grit sand paper very lightly and rubbed a bar of soap on it and now his legs can separate with more ease.

Also second time I transformed him I figured out more stuff. This pleases me.

Not like they haven't been doing this almost from the start.
I still feel like there's room for a higher quality version of something that has similar proportions to the recent HasTak one. While I'm not big on it, I recognize it's probably the most cartoon-like, and that's what most people want.

I still think given time, there will be MP gestalts. The only thing that will stop it will be a death of the toy market or the global economy. The toy market's been dying, and the global economy's been predicted to die for a while now so it's probably just a matter of time. So it's really just a race to see what great junk we can make before it all goes to shit and all this stuff becomes piles of refined regret.

I had one on pre-order, and one month before re-issue, they got slapped with a cease and desist and refunded me. I had wanted it to go with my classics deluxe figure collection, which I was just starting up. Turned out this was a blessing in disguise, since MP-10 was soon announced. After that, MPs have really taken off, and deluxe size and quality has gone to shit, so I just stopped collecting most retail stuff.

Optimus Maximus is kind of cool. The sideways movement hip ratchets on my Optimus are also what I feel to be dangerously hard to adjust. I have to exert notable force to get those things to budge. I'm afraid I'm going to break my Optimus, thats how hard they are.

Put him together since I got Mirage/Prowl/Iron Hide/Sunstreaker the other day, just to see how he looked together with my other gestalts. And of course, Hot Rod doesn't fit. Gonna have to sand it a bit or something, I don't know.
