Dear\tg\.
I'm bored of wh40k after 18 years of playing. Recently I was thinking about quite cheap and good system to play. Somehow I can't stop thinking about dropzone commander and dropfleet commander. Could you please advise if it's worth buying? I'm interested in both as It seems that this is opportunity to create fun fluffy battles about gaining control over planets space and then surface. I would like to buy both starters and something small to expand tactical options for both sides, since probably I will have to lend one army to my opponent in order to play. Anyways your thoughts and opinions regarding both systems, models quality, fun, advantages/disadvantages? Mostly I played wh40k and board games (closest to table top would be twilight imperium)

Try infinity, that's what many players do

I'm lured to smaler scale of models. Probably epic and battlefleet gothic would be good but I don't want anything from 40k universum

There's a General for that

The dropfleet starters are solid because they're multipart so can be used to build a range of ships, but if I remember correctly the dropzone starter sets don't necessarily give you units you want, especially the APCs which most people don't actually use. Best ask in the general like >>55414613 said.
