Some of these Pokefusions make cool looking creatures. I'm gonna post some, let's try turning them into monsters or player races.

I think the artist interpreted those as black tears. Besides, two random screws would be odd with the otherwise ghostly aesthetic.
>>
>>55376595

Oh god, that'd be a cool design for a sort of nyarlathothep minion/creature, you got the dodecahedron of thingiemajig in the center and the tentacles and the abhuman-ness of nyarli's human form.

Screws have a much more mechanical and manufactured look to them, though. Nails can be smithed, screws can't.
That said, nails would be cool.

Kritter's.

A small species that stand at 3'5 at full height, with the largest known kritter (Remembered fondly as Biter) having been an astonishing 4'5. They possess red eyes and often a yellow leathery skin that feels akin to your standard reptile's. Their dark underbelly's are a natural armor that's cold to the touch.

They are known that use their talons for digging and slashing, they're a highly adaptable breed that seek out the most comfortable environments possible.

This includes towns and villages.

Often, they'll use their razor sharp talons to slowly dig their way into households and take up residence there.

Not particularly violent unless pushed, they've become 'housepets' to some. If trained, they can make highly useful allies in battle and are a ranger's favorite.

Their talons, if properly cared for, can make short work of the finest chainmail. The fire that burns at the end of their tail is a strange etheral light that leaves no mark on anything it touches. However, if it extinquishes, it means the Kritter has pulled this unique energy generated in it's tail toward it's throat.

From there, it can be fired as a far hotter torrent of flame.

The hottest of such fires has permanently charred even solid steel.

However, they are rather vulnerable to blunt force. Their agility can prevent being struck, but in direct confrontation with a strong enough force, that can be surmounted. Especially by those experienced with the beings.

Should you wish to keep one, make sure to feed them in foods high in sugars. Sweets, oddly enough, are actually a very suitable diet for them.

Lastly, pay mind to not let them over-step their boundaries. Many Kritter's have selected humans they live with as their 'life-mate's' which has led to less than savory outcomes.

Especially given that Kritter's are known for becoming depressed more easily than perhaps any other species, especially when rejected.

Uh. Who do you think made the first screw?

Someone with access to finer tools than your standard smith.
I suppose I should say nails are easier to smith, and more widely used. Especially by witches, who make voodoo dolls generally out of rough, cheap materials.

A Genemaw is a dangerous foe indeed. Standing almost double the height of a man, and wielding incredible brute strength as well as potent psychic abilities, these creatures are known to subjugate smaller, less intelligent creatures in its home environment, the deepest marshes. Their mind-altering, psychokinetic and arcane abilities, along with their strength, are both dwarfed by their unique ability to create subordinates. They will often times find dangerous beasts and take over their mind, opening the second mouth on their stomach and forcing their prey to willingly climb in, devouring them. Later, the genetic material will be used to create an egg, which will hatch into a corrupted mockery of the original prey that is bound forever to the Genemaw's will. As such, Genemaws make their presence known quite easily, but can be hard to actually track down, as if they see their hunter coming they will psychically attack them, either making them forget their goal, go mad, or outright kill them of a brain aneurism.

Some say the Genemaw is a distant cousin of the Slaad, while others say they were(or are) created by swamp hags in foolish and misguided attempts to create powerful servants, only for the hag to fall prey to her creation.

Growths that feed off of bodies in shallow water, Morbiles(singular: morbilus) are weak psychic beings that are known to appear in groups. They are generally considered harmless nuisances, causing mild to moderate headaches while in the vicinity of them, but large fixtures of morbiles can cause debilitating or chronic pain and clouded thoughts. Some psychic beings have been known to intentionally grow morbiles as a means to defend their domains. Most will say that morbiles should be exterminated as early on as possible to prevent the fixture from becoming a danger, slight as it may be.

Evesps are magical beings which thrive in semi-arid, open environments. They travel in groups, called harras, much like horses, but are far more aggressive and dangerous, despite being individually weaker-- so much so that one cannot ride an Evesp, except for the smallest of races(who are too small to control the beast anyways). Their light forms, however, make them incredibly quick, able to run almost twice the speed of the average steed. Their bodies are surrounded by an exoskeleton of bone, although fur grows underneath and is exposed in some places. Their thin, fibrous, light and multicoloured manes often give the illusion that they are emitting some sort of arcane fire. Both their horns and mandibles are capable of injecting venom into their unfortunate targets, and their hind legs can deliver moderately powerful kicks. The best way to dispose of an Evesp is from afar, with a blunt projectile that will break through their exoskeleton, but it is best to avoid confrontation altogether, lest you draw the ire of the harras.

A Maroth is a fearsome beast of muscle and bone and ferocity. Their hard exoskeletons are often stained red with the blood of their prey, which ranges from people to livestock to even lesser beasts. Infant Maroths resemble mantises, born standing no taller than two feet, with wings wide and strong enough to carry them some ways into the air from a jumping start, allowing them to escape danger. They grow quickly, though, and within a year of birth they stand anywhere from twelve to twenty feet tall, towering over any challengers. Simple creatures, female Maroths, who are distinguished by their larger(albeit still nonfunctional) wings and louder roars, will create a cave in a den. Some have been noted as swallowing bones to later spit up and build walls of to close off their dens. Male Maroths, though, who normally are faster with stronger legs, will wander seemingly aimlessly, but their natural instinct is guiding them towards a female's den. If the male can pacify the female, they will have earned the privilege of mating. The female Maroth will quickly bloat and become weak, temporarily, until they give birth to their infant. If it is male, the infant will naturally strike off on their own, as will the father to find a new mate, and if it is female, they will usually grow to kill their weakened mother and take over her den. Some generations-old Maroth dens are littered with the exoskeletons of mothers, and house legendarily strong beasts.

Made from husks of dead trees, bones of beasts, and decaying muscle of corpses, Cussars is the name given to these common throwaway constructs of hags, devils and necromancers. They are extremely simple to make and vary widely in shape, size and strength, but the thing they have in common is that their eyes must be those of a crocodile, and their skulls those of anything strong enough to kill a crocodile. Mindless and zombie-like, even the strongest Cussars are easily dispatched, as rotting meat and dead wood are not exactly durable, and they can be killed by destroying their eyes or cutting them in two, or simply causing enough damage that they can no longer function. Fire is an effective way of achieving the lattermost method.

Eucarices(singular: Eucarix) are dangerous crustaceans, growing to enormous sizes for the waters they live in, reaching up to fifteen feet in length. They hunt smaller crustaceans and fish, but in dire straits have been known to leap from waters to feast on small mammals or birds, or even bottom-feed off, even off of the barnacles that typically grow on their shells. While at first glance they appear snake-like in nature, and thus unable to move on land, they actually have small retractable legs all along their body, but the holes they retract into generally get covered with barnacles, which the legs will break off to get free. Thus, they are mobile and somewhat quick on land, but they will never stray far from water. Some especially large(usually in excess of twenty feet in length) Eucarices have been known to venture into deeper waters to prey on watercraft, using the sharp 'fins' along their shells to pass under and destroy the undersides of ships' hulls, causing them to sink and then feasting on their crews. They are particularly dangerous in the water for their ability to spin their segmented shells at high speeds, causing small 'whirlpools' which will draw floating victims in and under the water. Generally, a giant Eucarix will then make residence in the wreckage and fiercely defend its territory. Because of their large faces, their shells are open here, so they have quite the large soft spot. Dead Eucarix with their insides either eaten or rotten out have been known to make fine homes for many other creatures who live underneath shallow waters.
Nobody knows how Eucarices reproduce. Some say they simply don't, and live indefinitely until they are killed, suggesting that there are a finite number of living ones, always shrinking in population.

One of the strangest and rarest of all draconic species, the Grasptongue Dragon is an oddity that perplexed naturalists for generations. Unlike any other member of the Dragon family, the Grasptongue lacks the typical protective coat of scales, having instead exposed skin covered in fine pink hair, with thicker cream colored fur on it's back covering it's spine. It also lacks the ability to breathe fire, and is non-sapient, similar to other lesser Drakes. Its most notable caracteristic is its long retractile muscular tongue covered in paralyzing poisonous spit. An omnivore, the Grasptongue uses its long tongue both to grab fruit and leaves from trees as well as capture smaller animals, which it swallows in a single bite. Unlike other dragons, the Grasptongue is also marked by its docile temperament and social behavior, living in groups of two to four mating pairs and their hatchlings.

Mycursas are odd beings. They exist primarily as a form of strange, parasitic fungus. These fungus grow in surface caves, and are known for their ability to grow on living tissue, 'rooting' into flesh. Despite this, bears seem to be by far the most common body these fungus make hosts of. This is because these fungus have the unique ability to devour and take the place of their hosts' brains. While small mammals can sometimes be seen in this state, most of them cannot sustain the ravenous hunger of the ever-growing fungal colony within and on their body, and so they die. Hibernating cave bears, however, are usually large and strong enough to stay alive with the fungus attached, and so will live exponentially longer, even while the body slowly decays and bloats, held together by the expanding fungus. Eventually, though, the body will decay completely, and a husk housing hundreds of the dangerous spores will be left in its place.
Mycursas are apex predators, killing and eating any living thing they can find, even other Mycursas who host different fungal colonies. While they live on flesh, this is simply so the bear's hardly-functioning body can convert the food into energy to fuel the fungal growth.
Fighting a Mycursa is a dangerous prospect for even a single spore planting itself on flesh can prove fatal. Fire, thusly, is a largely effective way to fight them. Conversely, many unwary travelers wielding slashing or piercing weapons have, much to their confusion, found that strikes against the bear's now-hairless flesh are fruitless. The dead bear does not feel pain and is not deterred by flesh wounds, but damaging the mushroom-like growths on the flesh can harm the 'brain', causing it to recoil in the interest of self-preservation. Many times, Mycursas can be pacified or routed by causing heavy damage to their growths, but the only way to truly kill them is to destroy the brain and burn the body to prevent the regrowth of a new one.

Ferromucks can often be found in mines and factories. Their exact origins are unknown but some say they are the wrathful spirit of dead workers, while others say they relate loosely to Beholders somehow. These simple creatures are generally found as a singular eyeball, sometimes many eyeballs, suspended within what at first appears to be metal, but is soon found to have the properties of liquid. They are magnetic in nature, and will make use of any metal around them to kill whatever life may stand in their way. Smaller Ferromucks have been known to fling nails, screws, small parts and other scraps, while medium ones can wield weapons, and the largest of them will fling giant pieces of machinery, or tear away steel plates to protect themselves. In addition to these magnetic abilities, they have also been observed crackling with lightning, painfully shocking any who dare come near them-- although this seems somewhat atypical. They are indeed dangerous, but killing a Ferromuck is actually a simple matter of destroying its central eye. The metallic ooze will then disperse and quickly harden back into metal. There are not many tales of actually touching a Ferromuck's body, and those few that exist conflict, but many say that to the touch, they actually feel solid and do not behave like the slimes they are often compared to, which will often swallow beings into their bodies. This suggests that the Ferromuck's magnetic abilities are so powerful it can bend this metal complexly and at will. Some have theorized that if a Ferromuck could be pacified and domesticated it could be trained to craft complex machines, fine weapons and exquisite jewelry in an instant.

While humans are not part of their general diet, humans living in the same enviroment as the Eucarix do, generally need to watch out. Because, while not actively seeking out humans as prey, Eucarices have been known to take humans as well. The most common way to die, researchers note, has mostly been by accident. While they are salt water animals, they have been known to travel upstream large freshwater rivers and lie in wait for any large creature to approach the water line. While not being as fast as prey, the segmented nature of the Eucarixes' exoskeleton allows it to turn to face any direction in a matter of seconds. Coupled with the leverage of their bony stumplike pseudo-limbs, Eucarices have been known to take sheep, cattle, deer, and sometimes even humans.

Just as often however, it dies from the freshwater, and although huge examples can grow to weigh as much as a ton, the Eucarix is already rotting by the time humans recognise the blueish grey for an exoskeleton, rather than some seemingly randomly aligned rocks.
>>
>>55388347
>they die in freshwater
Most crustaceans can do just fine in freshwater, some even do better and just happen to live in saltwater.
Perhaps the River Eucatrix is a smaller version with darker-colored shells/exoskeletons that resemble rocks.

Despite its formidable size, the Starix is a peaceful creature that absorbs energy on rare occasion from sunlight refracted off the moon. Said energy is stored and is drawn on very slowly. It is known to dig miles underground to live in hibernation in periods of extended sunlight, creating massive caves where it also sprouts crystalline buds that break off to form the larvae of this creature. These larvae have been confused for precious gems few times in history, to shocking results, and often take decades to grow to any substantial size.

Their bodily composition relies mainly on a peculiar metal that isn't particularly dense, but very rigid. A dissection was performed, showing that these creatures are hollow with a thick metal cable linking the segments together, with thinner rods connecting the wire to the external shell. The crystals that are embedded in its body seem to aid in the process of obtaining energy, acting as solar panels. Its large "eye" is only linked to the metal cable, yet when the creature is active, the "eye" shines brilliantly.

Very, very few attacks have ever been reported, as the Starix only acts in self-defense as to expend as little energy as possible. Its primary attack is an extremely luminous crack of energy that they can emit from the eye. It seems that it can only emit this so many times before the creature is fatigued and can move at a very limited pace to return to shelter.

A variant of the Starix exists, known as the Verdant Starix or the Silver Starix. Its main distinction is one of colour, with its plain and grey metal and green gems contrasting on its kin's bronze-like metal and red stones. The Verdant Starix lives deep underground amongst luminescent stones and fungus, and is a much more dangerous, territorial version of the typical Starix. Because they live under constant light, they can expend much more energy, even managing to maintain their energy beams for up to ten seconds before needing to rest. A mother Starix protecting her crystalline buds is particularly formidable, aggressive and territorial.

I mean, for paralax, the generated combo is literally just a red snorlax with its eyes open. The detailed picture is a pretty good representation of the two pokemon together. The mewssingno, I'll give you, there is no point.

The Anostar is a species that has baffles researchers since its discovery. It is able to withstand a variety of harsh environments, some of which being uninhabitable to other creatures. Anostars tend to coincide with one another in the most extreme of environments, from below zero cold, the deep sea floor, and volcanoes. They prefer the volcano for its added protection and warmth, but flock to the seafloor en masse to hunt for food. Their main means of attack are the hard spikes that line their back. A bladder of water, (or air) lies underneath the steel-like shell, which is able to propel long telescoping tube-like lengths of cartilage that are fused to the underside of the spikes, giving it the nickname, "spearshell". These spears, alongside their hidden mouth, filled with dull, coarse teeth often surprise prey and predator alike, giving the Anostar somewhat of an advantage. Their eyes are retractable and surrounded by a translucent skin, with a fluid membrane between the eye and the protective skin. There is a single optical nerve and muscle that runs the length of the eyestalk, connecting to the eye, allowing the eyes to rotate at will. When in extreme heat, eyes retract into the head and are positioned behind the red film at the center of their heads providing a shield of sorts, while still allowing vision.

Their eggs are cemented wherever the Anostar deems fit, and hatch at an alarming rate. In the hatchling form, they are voracious and have circling rows of pointed teeth that eventually dull into adulthood. They can eat almost anything in this form, but only few things are actually nutritious to the Anostar, leaving some to grow meek and frail, while others grow large. The larger will then consume the smaller, both thinning the numbers and perpetuating strong genes.

Occasionally they can grow to be as large as six feet in radial shell diameter, but most often grow to be three to four feet.

Should I make another? Maybe this should be an ongoing thread? We could make a database of some kind, I wouldn't know how though.
>>
>>55391401
That'd be cool, this is clearly popular.
>>
>>55391401
By all means make another, though I wouldn't necessarily make it a daily thing since I doubt the interest is there.
There's tons of ways to do image hosting, but I'm not the person to ask what's best.

Also, I was just thinking how well this fusion thing would go with PTU or PTA for making new pokemon, maybe we could use the good ones to make a coherent alternate setting.

>>
>>55391568
I think a lot of these would go well in an alternate setting, but I don't really like the idea of a Pokemon setting where all the 'Mon are Fusions. I like them better as their own creatures-- see my posts(>>55386917 quoted here).
>>
>>55391712
You use the fusions as inspiration, not as two pokemon glued together. there's some genuinely cool stuff in there that can stand on its own. You've got exactly the right idea with your rewrites. Didn't mean to imply otherwise.

Utilized by necromancers of high power and social standing, Waxen Pallbearers are a particularly grotesque necromantic construct made of refined and hardened corpse-fat and powered by the souls of 7 sacrificial captives bound at strategic points within the construct's structure. Once animated, the Pallbearer is beholden to its creator's will, and is possessed of a body that is in turn incredibly malleable and stretchy, and massively dense and unyielding, depending on its internal temperature. Said temperature is regulated by the seven "flames" of necromantic energy that emit from its body. Despite their great potential danger in combat, most Waxen Pallbearers are in truth glorified vanity items for necromancers, used to carry heavy objects (such as coffins) to and from their master's laboratory.

Necromancers are already philistines of the highest order, willing to violate any taboo in the pursuit of more power, and the use of corpse-fat candles and assorted items is a well-documented practice among them (see the infamous class of necromantic talisman known as the Hand of Glory). The ability to animate a massive amount of corpse-fat as a servitor testifies to both the great skill of the necromancer (as bestowing animation upon tissue with no structure-granting medium, such as ectoplasm, muscle, or bone is a difficult thing) and their resources (As the corpus of a Waxen Pallbearer requires the fat of dozens of recently-dead bodies to assemble, and furthermore demands the ritual sacrifice of 7 innocents after the corpus's completion to provide the animus). The fact that the Pallbearer has a primitive intelligence comparable to the lesser forms of undead (As any attempts to grant these constructs a superior intelligence has resulted in the bound souls within driving the entity mad with their collective suffering, causing it to rampage directionlessly until destroyed) is of secondary concern, as these constructs are, as covered previously, vanity items, meant to serve as more of a message that their creator is a powerful and influential necromancer than as any sort of valuable servant.

As an interesting side-note, while most Pallbearers resemble a crude humanoid made of tallow, with two holes for eyes and a simple gash for a mouth, some necromancers will carefully mold the features of these creatures, then order them to harden and stand in a particular location as morbid objects d'art. Those not alerted to these wax statue's true nature by the necromantic fires burning out of its ports are liable to be ambushed by them should things become hostile, as the Pallbearer deploys its only effective offensive tactic: ambushing its target, restraining them, and then liquidizing and hardening their body selectively to form a grotesque, amorphous prison.
