Good and evil ideals ripped from 5e PHB backgrounds:

Good: charity, friendship, redemption, beauty, respect, generosity, greater good, noble obligation
Evil: greed, might, power, mastery, retribution

If you look in this way at what the text says implicitly on good and evil, instead of explicitly, then playing an evil character doesn't seem at all unreasonable or campaign-ruining. In fact, it might be that most PCs are more evil than good in this sense.
This evil is the gamist roll player munchkin alignment, among other things.

For reference:
Lawful is tradition, rank, faith, fairness, honor, community, logic, responsibility
Chaotic is change, independence, creativity, freedom, free thinking, no limits

>>
>>55370697
Painting was just one of his artistic skills, his actual combat skill would be perform (oratory.)

Then again, magical painting Hitler is probably more fun. Painting magic usually divides into sympathetic, memetic, or oracular magic, one either uses the painting as a focus to effect the the place or object it represents, use it to effect the minds of whose who see it, or use it as a medium in prophetic attunement.

There's also the use of visual art as a portal channeling/world creation, in which one generally enters the painting and is either transported to a pre-existing world that it depicted (tying back into oracular magic) OR the act of painting somehow created a pocket universe, usually utilizing dreamland magic or 'create force' the mind taps into in the act of imagination.

In use, painting magic is very similar to mirror magic, the power resides in it's ability to depict and realize something otherwise unseen.
>>
>>55370697
>Real question how the fuck would that work?
Summoning.
>Draw a picture of some shit
>Empowered with magic
>Comes alive
>More detail put in the more powerful it is
If you draw a small stick figure you can have it leap off the page and do basic work for a couple minutes before it fades, it could bring you a pencil or hand you the butter. If you draw a life sized stick man it is as dumb as the mini one but bigger, it can still only life like 5 lbs. If you draw a small picture of a dragon that is highly detailed you now have a pet pseudo dragon that will live for a few minutes before dying. If you scale it up to a life sized dragon you can get a life sized full power dragon for a few minutes.

Since drawing detailed pictures in battle is a tad difficult you can save the pictures in a sketch book or scrolls 99.99% done with you only needing to add a final line. So an artist bard might keep dozens of nearly finished drawings of golems, weapons, and the like. He just needs to unfold his drawing, take out his pencil, draw a line, and the barbarian has a magical battle axe. For smaller things like using a bird for recon or something he might just keep a sketchbook with pictures of animals and small bits of equipment (magical dagger, bundle of rope, comb, pair of socks, etc.)

It's incredibly meta and great.

>I really want to run a Necrodancer style dungeon but totally unsure how to handle anything to get close to the kind of feel that things are twisted by music other than simply describing it as such.
Simple.
First, make a soundrtack that's really good; every song on it has to be excellent combat music.
Then, give each song a bonus. +2 to hit, +1d6 to damage, -2 to saving throws, etc.
Whenever a song is playing, every creature on the floor (friend or enemy) gets the bonus.
Here's the kicker tho: the game is turn based, but the songs run in real time. You can have the songs change on you in the middle of the turn, even.

You can have bosses based on music, who's abilities interact with the music in certain ways. Maybe some undead DJ who spins tracks and can change the song once per round as an immediate action. Or how about a backwards-speaking Demon who can make the song play in reverse, thereby also reversing the effects.

It looks pretty meta-aware of how she treats/manipulates people desu. Luckily I had passive sibling resistance and had just ascended to 2D at the time, else I might've picked up one of her girls. But then I'd owe her, and I knew better. She used people like ammo in a gun. It was impressive. And despite that I'd walked in on and heard quite the contrary, she swore up and down she wasn't a lez. There's on argument to be made that she just enjoyed the control, but if you've got a fellow girl down between your thighs then there's not many ways to cut it.

Used to tease her about it endlessly.

The movie is about how smart people are not any morally better than sociopathic not-particularly-bright popular people, and how life is a cynical struggle for power between amoral forces. A smart girl joins the mean girls clique and falls in love with a snarky sociopath Nietzche wannabee who convinces her to start killing the other cool kids.

The musical is based on the assumption that the boyfriend is an innocent but traumatized person and the smart girl is a quirky indie darling movie type lead rather than an amoral chessmaster. Despite that sounding bad, it is because of those things better than the movie (because media is better when you can root for the protagonist).

I heard from a guy that in a lot of doujins with femdom in ends up being a reversal of some sort where the woman ends up craving his dick or something and no longer acts like she did before. I have a fuzzy memory about the post and I don't know if that post or my rusted memory can be backed up by anyone else who reads this stuff, because I don't.

tl;dr The post I'm poorly paraphrasing claims that femdom doesn't stay dom.

People who only play good characters play the best evil characters since, knowing the moral codes that drive most people, they know what might drive people beyond them, and how abandoning those principles might look.
>>
>>55390621
As someone who is only comfortable playing a goody two-shoes, whether it be a "muh diplomacy and deescalation", "muh nuance and ethics", "you forced me to do this", or "this is the last thing I wanted to do", how should I play an evil character?
>>
>>55370240
Is she being a drama queen or were they literally planning on murdering her?
>>
>>55390194
Yeah but a protagonist can still do bad things and have people root for them, ala Breaking Bad
>>
>>55390731
"You forced me to do this" is a good place to start: everyone thinks they're doing the right thing and a victim complex can justify a lot of acts. Someone falls on hard times, and feels they have to steal to get by, they get caught by the homeowner and feel cornered into killing them to not get caught. The guards investigate and confront him, he tells them to just let him go, but they don't listen, and he has to kill THEM too. Why doesn't anyone ever just listen?

It can also be someone working for a noble goal who screws up and then gets caught in the sunk cost fallacy: he's gotten people hurt or killed or worse, and if he doesn't finish his work, those sacrifices were for nothing, so he has to work even harder, complete the work at any cost.
>>
>>55390311
That's because Old femdom became mainstream (what guy objects toa girl being on top these days?) and that left behind all the guys who wanted to be treated poorly and used femdom as their outlet because they're too scared to go full BDSM

Start by playing a usually evil trope/archetype and make them soft on the inside. Not detrimental to the party and definitely having redeeming features, but not initially likeable or admirable.

In context to OP, an example would be a bitchy queen bee highschool popular girl who trash talks everyone but still genuinely helps the team/attempts to fashion them up/even gets herself in danger to protect them.

Or a gruff grizzled mercenary who displays an unshakeable moral or a line he wont cross when you least expect it.

Or a typical fanfiction-tier edgelord who broods, angsts and has questionable morals, but really just wants people to like him.

However, do it only if you know you can not be a dick. You don't need to perfectly know what you're doing, just be a good player and it should help.

I wouldn't call either version of Heathers cuckbait, since it is about a dominant nerdguy winning a nerd chick turned popular girl by being aggro and moody, and then instead of cucking him she out-aggros him and in that final moment he finally respects her.

That's so masculine its almost gay, it ain't netorare.

Heather was planning on killing Victoria because she stood up for her loser friend and challenged Heather's authority as the alpha female. Hence why Victoria starts going on a killing spree with her boyfriend. She got Heather before Heather got her.

Pretty sure the uploader was referring to the person who made the animation, not any of the characters in the video.

Admittedly using they/them as a singular pronoun frequently causes these sort of problems.

Killgrave of Jessica Jones is a sociopath bard with a constant suggestion effect up.
>>
>>55369271
not really. I've been in campaigns with evil characters who were practically the driving force of the campaign, but were then ruined by That Guys.

All Daine wanted was to bring about the necromantic revolution. He followed laws. He did his paperwork. He just wanted a skeleton butler in every home and behind every plow, and all the wealth, fame, and power that bringing about that modernization would bring. So what if it required repurposing a few criminal's bodies? Now they're contributing to society like they should have been. Was that so wrong? Was that much to ask?

Nah, evil bard is a fun concept. Last campaign I was in was an evil gestalt set in the Dungeon Keeper universe. Negotiator Bard/Cleric of Ardad Lili, meant to take advantage of the religious conversion rules in pathfinder. Would have mainly targeted foolish men... But then the DM kept introducing female NPCs and monsters, so the evil priestess ended up with a lot of girlfriends because she was going to seduce someone to evil dammit!
