So if I pick Wind as my element in Frozen, what specific gases can I shoot out of my body? Can I only emit the exact average composition of the atmosphere? Or can I control it? Could I shoot out pure oxygen?
>>
>>55366146
>that wasn't a naturally occuring element
Quick check says it can be, it just doesn't last because it rust away to quick or is in a liquid form inside magma veins and volcanoes.

A bigger and better excuse for not allowing steel would probably be because it is predominantly an alloy of Iron (metal) and Carbon (nonmetal).
...feels like I'm advocating against an interracial marriage. "Filthy non-metal will never lay a hand on my precise pure metals!"

Currently, no idea. I was going to go earth but I am facing the similar problem of Im not sure what it can and cannot make. Like I am all for a granite castle but does that mean I cant do marble or normal dirt?

>>
>>55366285
>Filthy non-metal will never lay a hand on my precise pure metals!

Sure thing grandpa! But how do you feel about alloys of pure metals like electrum?
>>
>>55366278
I'd guess only the atmosphere's gas composition (either the mixture where you are, or average I suppose). I'd be really sceptical of shooting pure oxygen. It's an magic elemental thing, not something that's really concerned with specific molecules, Elsa only seems to do H2O with her ice/snow.
>>
>>55366324
Use protection, or those filthy no-metals carbon and oxygen will sneak into your home and never leave.
>>
>>55366342
And yet she turns a person into pure ice, and makes magic walking living snowmen, and also seems to create the cold itsself. Seems more like a full set of magic with a loose ice theme to me instead of a full on restriction to just ice.

Yes? And a wind queen could make wind elementals, create storms or still air, lay a wind curse or something. But it's elemental magic bullshit, not chemistry.

Another WIP, but I am actually getting near to completing this. I need to add a couple of perks and an item, as well as write up the last three/four drawbacks. I'd like some feedback for this WIP before I finish up though.

>>55366317
>We don't get to be Zombies
This makes me sad :(
>>
>>55366406
The problem seems to be that val split all crystals out of that making it about chemistry.
>>
>>55366416
Yeah probably would have been better off saying you can make crystals just fine but a person who does only crystal would do much better.
>>
>>55366409
Why do people want to be zombies so much? I swear, everyone brings this up lmao
>>
>>55366469
Because its neat and everyone likes a new altform.
>>
Apparently Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Hercules, Frozen, Tangeled all share same universe. Arale is Hercule's cousin, due to her Grandfather being Poseidon who's Herc's uncle.

Elsa's parents died on the sea voyage to Rapunzel's wedding. Elsa & Rapunzel are more likely sisters. The ship wreck that Arale discovers could be Elsa's parent's which was in Danish waters. Cinderella characters can be seen in the wedding scene for Tangeled.

Hercules also had Scar's pelt but I think it's more an Easter egg. However if he really did have his pelt, that means he survives the hyenas.
>>
>>55366460
That'd make sense. Same way a Water Queen could probably make ice/snow, but not to Elsa levels or with cold powers.
>>
>>55366469
Braaains... are delicious?
>>
>>55366460
yeah, i was thinking, an earth focus could make a rough wall of crystal, while a crystal specialist could make people/golems and castles from crystal
>>
>>55366371
The interesting thing is that while with Olaf she pulls the coal, sticks and carrot from off screen, in the short about Anna's birthday when she sneezes the little snowballs have coal when made.

I don't know how canonical the short is though, but she also pulls color from a flower to change her dress.
>>
>>55366482
I think most of those are easter eggs or so far apart in time as to make no difference.
>>
>>55366493
>>55366478
I understand that, but a single CoD zombie is... kinda crappy?
>>
>>55366469
Maybe people just want to kill CoD men?
>>
Alright, this is the final edit for now, barring any minor flubs in the document to be finished for the upload version. If I come back to it with Adventures it'll be a separate doc

Changelog:
- Added import to Custom Shoes
- Fixed issue with Engineer from the Future
- Clarified Searcher from Space
- Added Cybernetics
- Neutral alignment now has a 200 CP item Stipend to match Egg Boss cybernetics stipend
- Freedom Fighter alignment now has a 200 CP Companion Stipend for the same reason.
- Added OC Companions
>>
>>55366519
Maybe people just want to be killed by CoD men?
>>
>>55366516
Thats why you have perks!

Maybe make it a drawback, you are a CoD zombie, if you survive you get to keep it as an altform.
>>
>>55366416
Or, you know, you could stop trying to science everything and look at it from the way a layperson sees "earth" - dull rocks, dirt, and the like - versus "crystal" - shiny, clear stones.
This is magic, not quantum mechanics and chemistry. Symbolism is more important here than what the atomic arrangement happens to be.

Why not wumpa fruit?

Have you considered giving the bandicoot's their 100 free and not charging anything for the backgrounds? 50 is an especially odd price.

Otherwise, I'm proud of this, and I'm gonna take a long, long break.

In magic crystals are always part of earth. That is the purpose in most symbolic magic systems, crystals are the earth but also evoke connotations of water.
>>
>>55366575
>For those of you with big families, how do you manage your kids, nephews, grandchildren, etc.?

Like a well oiled machine that cares

Also, do you differentiate between bastards and matrimonial-or-whatever-serious-relationship-you-are-in children?

No

Have you ever adopted anyone as your children?

Yes
>>
>>55366530
Done!

BRAAAAAAINS (+400CP)

You asked for it. You are now a zombie. A member of the mindless hordes, mere cannon fodder for any survivors. You may have supernatural powers from previous jumps, but they are toned down somewhat by your undead nature. To sweeten the deal, if you can survive for ten years in this body, I’ll let you keep it as an alternate form.
>>
>>55366578
Fair enough. I think it is a little odd that it ends up even though. The 50 is essentially buying the first perk at a discount, while the free background can decide not to take it if they don't want to.

There's plenty of precedent for you to ignore me and go on your merry way. I may just be getting used to jumps with free backgrounds. A little spoiled, so to say.

In any case I'm still reading it but this looks good. Brings back memories of playing on the PS1 all those years ago.

I just want to be able to pop up giant granite castles in no time, I know granite is like 90% crystals but the stuff is solid and the dark stone look is appealing to me. I love the look of a fortress and an archway made of it.

OC Maker extreme is ready to go!

Speaking of OC's, is Dinya meant to have Comrade From Another Dimension, which is light and day based, or Personality From Another Dimension, which is the actual Djinn perk with the sand and the sunlight and the wishes?
>>
Why do people care at this point? Isn't this just the whole avatar discussion all over again? If you want to be able to make and manipulate whatever material just go to generic xianxia or desolate era and meditate on a dao of it for a couple years and then you can make and create it all you want. Plus since learning similar dao is easier you can just keep moving sideways until you control all the elements, you have time I have seen people spend 5 million years there. Hell DE lets you spend a quadrillion years there. Just learn the various dao elements like earth, air, fire, water, wood, metal, life, and death and you can pretty much make whatever the hell you want and it is even free to do because it is part of how cultivation works in those settings which you get as a perk.

I'll do a little write-fagging on this when I can, but basically:
> Three Kingdoms
I accidentally to over the Shu faction and connected with the Wu by marrying Sun Shangxiang. Got fucked near the end of the stay via an unusually potent poison concocted by who knows who, so I was too busy trying not to die to choose to stay like I had planned.

> AtLA
The transfer, poison, and fucked up chi circulation screwed up all my memories and abilities, spent what felt like forever meditating with the Guru to rebalance and reopen Chakras. Aang thought I was someone who just wore Air Nomad clothing, I couldn't air bend and all Nomads were benders. Struck up a friendship with him as we continued our meditations and also managed to badger him into teaching me the Air-bending forms, which started to trigger my memories and balance my chi. So he taught me more and when he finished, we decided that the other forms would help...however, he had a vision of Katara needing help and had to go. I tagged along.

I eventually regained my memories years after the end of the Fire Nation, and made a name for myself as the Void Bender, the man who could bend other Benders' elements. Taught the Kyoshi Warriors and Sokka how to do it too. Managed to find myself back in the Eastern Air temple where I meditated one last time and finally Let Go of Shangxiang, then continued on to the next world.

> AtLoK
Where I found myself meditating in the ruins of the Temple, so a guy had to figure a way down, then to the nearest town. A trip to Republic City later, I found myself being very unimpressed with the new Avatar and the realization that I was in the original timeline. So I figured, "eh, I can make her a better Avatar and person in general" and proceeded to humiliate her and Team in a pro-bending match. It's kind of difficult to beat someone who can use your own weapons against you after all.

After that, and a little chat with Tenzin, I became Korra's part-time trickster mentor.

The Spyro drawback probably shouldn't let you companion Spyro characters using Crash's canon companion option. If people want to burn a pod or a Blue Feather or something then there's no need to stop them, but while there was a crossover this still isn't the Spyro jump.

That said, if you get (or already have in which case I apologize) SpyroAnon's permission go ahead.

So I didn't see this last thread but Sei and Dou ki aren't anger and power vs. calmness and skill. Someone can be incredibly skilled and calm while using Dou ki, someone can be incredibly angry and powerful while using Sei ki. Instead Sei and Dou are about how you fight, Sei contains your ki until the last moment where you use it to dodge an attack or land a hit that would have missed, it works with methodical styles that work on precise movement and hitting only as hard as they need to defeat their opponents. It requires you to ignore your emotions while fighting though which stops people from getting stronger because they really want to win. Dou ki meanwhile relies on a fighters instinct and training to guide them in battle without them having to think about it much and letting them pour on power and pressure. They do stuff like dodging attacks they didn't see just based off fighting instinct, overpowering opponents with sustained powerful offenses, and letting their emotions fuel their fighting power to move faster, hit harder, and take hits they otherwise couldn't. Neither one is really stronger then the other, Sei lends itself to endurance fighters and tactical fighting while Dou lets you hit harder and faster then Sei

Some people assume they get to choose a setting from among the works classified as within the relevant genre. Others treat the world like a blending of the tropes, themes, etc that make up the genre.

Family is... Complicated. I have to rule a really big ass realm, including multiple worlds and subdimensions, so everyone who doesn't decide to stay in a Jump ends up sharing some responsibility. That means that most of my children end up ruling a really large chunk of land. Call it nepotism, but my children usually get the job done. As for grandchildren and later generations... We don't really get too much contact? I know that they exist, but that's mostly it.

Also, lots of egos and court politics some times lead to some conflicts, but nothing significant.

> Also, do you differentiate between bastards and matrimonial-or-whatever-serious-relationship-you-are-in children?
Early in the chain I didn't really cared about bastards because I tried not to leave any behind, since it would probably mean fighting with the other parent to take away the child. Nowadays my children are just that, my children.

>Have you ever adopted anyone as your children?

Gavrilo Princip would likely have a NP that makes fate help you find your target and Brutus would have a NP that gets stronger the more the target trust you. I'll probably try to fluff it a little and ask Val about it later.

Family. In my chain being a jumper lowers fertility. It is too risky to accidentally have a super powered child in a world with no powers. Companions are extremely low chance, but with normal people it is still about a 1/5th chance compared to normal.
That said, most of the children born will stay a few jumps before settling down in some world or setting out on their own chains. As for dealing with them while they stay with us, All children are raised by the group.
Adoption? I have a few. Tiny Tina from Borderlands comes to mind.

She IS an Egg Boss working under Archie's Eggman, and that Eggman, even if he's capable of acting amicable for... short periods of time, is not the kind of person to show favoritism or mercy.
So I would say that if she's allowed in the same room as Eggman and the other Egg Bosses, then the answer is yes.

Or at least, Eggman THINKS she has it. It's also noted that, in time, she may even be able to exceed him if given the chance.
And if she knew how to disable it, why wouldn't she? After all, it's not like she's going to betray her dear uncle. So why leave such a critical weak point for others to exploit?

The closest thing to a standard is companions being able to buy anything other than more companions. Some jumps, like Sword & Sorcery, go out of their way to give items copy protection so you can't just use companion buys as extra CP for the item section. Others, like Jorge Joestar, go out of their way to not let companions buy items at all.

I know, I know, rule 1 and all that, but still, to my knowledge it's a pretty popular series that would work pretty well in the jumpchain format.

I'm not passively aggressively trying to pester someone into doing it, this whole situation just reminds me of this one time where somebody asked the thread why there were no Silent Hill jumps, to which various jumpmakers seriously brainstormed about it for quite some time, before collectively deciding that it just wouldn't work, due to the fundamental nature of the beast. So I was curios whether this was a similar deal. Mind you, I'm far from up to date, so I wouldn't know one way or the other.

>For those of you with big families, how do you manage your kids, nephews, grandchildren, etc.?
It starts so small, with just a couple kids from generic parenting. Then they go spend a few years on the islands that follow you around and hit it off with one of your companions that didn't play a role in raising them. Suddenly you have a small clan of genetically modified humanoids popping out of fog banks to abduct sailors for breeding stock.

>Also, do you differentiate between bastards and matrimonial-or-whatever-serious-relationship-you-are-in children?
There's no line of succession when the kings immortal. All babies in my family are my babies. They're just also their parents babies.

>Have you ever adopted anyone as your children?
The Adoption of Amy Dallon was a simple affair. I hunted down Marquis with New Wave, which was mostly facilitated by me being better at tracking down people and willing to let them have the credit. (My lack of hunger for fame rubbed a lot of heroes the wrong way, but if I could make it work for them then they left me alone.) When he pointed out the toddler in the closet I picked her up. She pulled my fur. I declared "My baby now." and the Marquis agreed since he was about to be carted off to jail. I had to do actual paperwork to get Rachel Lindt. When asked why I responded that little girls need sisters, obviously. Plus I picked up a child development degree in Kim Possible and a few other perks besides.

The manga jumps sharks left and right after the initial arc and blasts its way upwards through power levels faster than some DBZ arcs. So to make the jump you would have to balance early game and late game so that people won't screech at you for giving too much or not enough power. It's a pain in the ass and people are going to want a million and one options for their weapons and that's a second pain in the ass. It's going to take someone dedicated to the series thats willing to put in the time to get it done right to see the jump made.

>For those of you with big families, how do you manage your kids, nephews, grandchildren, etc.?
Wot do you mean "manage"? Aside from a lack of grandchildren at this time, the only managing is ensuring each of them grows into exceptional and mature people. Nieces and nephews I'm a bit more lenient on and avoid pushing my forms of parenting onto, but when Jensen asked for help with Matthew, I gladly helped.

And only reason I haven't delved into grandkids is because with 19-ish kids, I'm looking at a goddamn family web to manage in writing.

>Also, do you differentiate between bastards and matrimonial-or-whatever-serious-relationship-you-are-in children?

How would you all feel if I writefagged about a more straight-up 'heroic' Jumper, as opposed to my usual flavor of anti-hero or self-centered types, and a chain with a lighter overall tone (save for appropriately grim settings, of course)? This is the most saccharine thing I've written on Jumpchain so far.

Hello~! It's the the super-amazing, fantastic, magnificent, and ultra-cute benefactor speaking! Your one-stop guide to the world of make-believe, adventure, increasingly silly crossovers, and numbers divisible by ten! Sometimes. I don't know, the number five is still my sworn enemy. But you can all call me Sunshine Daffodil! Or Anna. Anna is nice. Anyways, it's time to begin our story of adventure by tossing a local NEET into the greater multiverse!

Of course, the nice thing to do is to knock first. Nobody likes someone who just teleports into someone's room and does the whole ‘raaaar, I am the all-powerful So-and-So, become my entertainment and I’ll give you an interdimensional box to hide in!' No, a professional does things the nice way and asks NICELY! Face-to-face, just like asking someone on a date or telling them their house is being foreclosed!

...unless they don't open the door because you look weird. How rude! Bright yellow, pink, and polka-dots are totally in fashion this season! Okay, I guess I need to try a little more persuasion. I put on a business suit and knock on the door again. Still no answer. Then I wear some homely clothes and carry a bible and knock again. I hear someone loading a gun! Well, that's just impolite, mister!

What do people in this world normally answer the door for...? Oh, I know!

I change into a red outfit and carry a deluxe pizza before knocking again. That's when a very annoyed NEET finally answers the door and looks very confused about the fact I somehow changed outfits in the blink of an eye! Then I throw the pizza box on him and say "Congratulations, you’ve been chosen to be my Jumper!"

>"Oh god, my ribs! How is this so heavy?!"
>>
>>55370953
Oh, whoopsy. I snap my fingers and the pizza box and his bruises vanish, and I step inside while he scrambles in increasing panic and confusion. “As I was saying, congratulations, you've been selected to be my Jumper!” To that, the NEET stares at me with a bit of shock before he pinches himself on the face for some reason and then speaks up.

>"...like, the cable, or...? Wait, is that a camera...?!"

"Nothing like that, silly! I'm going to send you on an adventure into other worlds!"

>"Is this a prank? Am I being assaulted by someone from Youtube or something...? Did someone dox me?!"

“I have more dignity than that, you silly! You're the lucky winner of this, so accept your prize happily!...unless you don't want to, for some reason? I can leave and we can act like this never happened, if it's that big of a problem.”

>"...alright, let's say this is real. How would this work, exactly!"

And now I'm gonna fast-forward a bit because you all know how this song-and-dance goes!

Just so you all have an idea of the tone I'm going for, at least for the benefactor.

I'm considering trying to make my first themed chain, and I was wondering what kind of jumps would be good for this.

The overarching theme would be industry, where the jumper travels from world to world, extracting as many resources as possible out of each one in order to construct a trans-dimensional one-man empire.

There would be a heavy focus on items and material gain over self-improving perks, and possibly focusing on changing organics into machines mid to late chain (kind of like a cross between a bizarro Giorno Giovani and Robitnik)

What do you guys think?

SBURB alchemy, as much of a crapshoot as it is sometimes, and the digitizer are going to be vital for the later portions of your one-man industrial empire. I would also suggest taking a dip into Shadowrun to take a peek at the Matrix. You're going to want something like that eventually for communication purposes.

Finally, I would suggest taking a detour into Chrono Trigger and snatching up Guru. You're going to want to mix magic and tech together eventually and that is really a great perk for doing it. There's a few similar ones scattered here and there, but you can hit Chrono Trigger fairly early if you just stay out of the plot.

Wonder Woman is good, though doing full-on jumps for each of these individual titles feels sort of... distasteful to me.
>>
>>55371874
>feels sort of... distasteful

YOu don't have to jump or even look at them.
>>
>>55371874
Some, maybe. But many are universes unto themselves. X-men comics for sure could sustain their own jump without overlapping much with existing marvel jumps.
>>
>>55371874
Why not? No other jump takes place during that time period, so I doubt there's a problem.

More jumps are good. You probably won't get double perks out of the move itself but it's good.

>>
>>55371874
Why? Most long running comic series have more history, depth, and rampant silliness than the majority of jumps on the drive. Not just Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, but even titles like Fantastic Four that started after the golden age.
>>
>>55370450
That was probably me. Let's see what notes I've got.

Chapter 22/26: Bam forcibly blocks three people and disintegrates a bullet, before learning the Reverse Flow technique. Described as if the Shinsu attacked of its own volition. Not sure if such an affinity for Shinsu is already included in the Irregular origin or not. If not, would be a good perk idea.

Guides can see the future as well, so the description should get updated.

Planning perk based on Koon. Though there's the perk Agile Mind, he's a lot better than that.

A note that you have enough Shinsu resistance to go up as many floors as you want to. Not sure if it can be trained up, but it's better to be on the safe side.

Perk to manipulate / get unreasonably much help from people ala Rachel.

A tragic backstory drawback, everyone seems to have one. Also ones for betrayls and to keep running into the Tower's idiots and assholes.

Might need to buff the Irregular charisma perk or make another one altogether. Bam befriends literally everyone, no exceptions.

Perk based on princess worship/popularity and how basically everyone knows about Jue Viole Grace after only a few years.

A note in the Thorn item description that you can actually use it, either by having/being a container like Bam or by magic fiat.

Maybe a drawback to know if people are going to betray you? Seems to fit.

Another perk for pepole to betray their own faction to join or help you (s2 chapter 105).

http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/Shinsoo
A perk to have a "plus tendency".

A scenario to enter the tower alongside the 13 family heads would be neat, but I think there's not enough content for that yet.

Update the drawbacks saying that guardians hate Irregulars. That's not true at all iirc. They should just say you have to take the tests the old way.

As far as I know, there are no Crusher, or people who fight by using gravity. That one guy was using this technique: http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/Dansulsa

A general beauty perk would be neat, considering pretty much everyone is beautiful.

Chapter 159: Explicitly said that Lighthouses can teleport stuff. Should probbaly include that in the description, and that it's capable of advanced techniques like the spatial bubble Koon can do.

Q: Can a guide, like its name, find solutions or grasp the opponent's strength, bloodline, and ability?
Spoiler
A: An exceptional guide is able to do so exactly.
From the author, so that should probably also go into their description.

A perk for the soul & spell stuff we've seen. Or rather, most soul manipulation seems to have been spells. So pretty much a perk for that.

Chapter 200 and 202: Irregulars have no fixed limits and are infinite. Does that mean they basically have a capbreaker for free? Also, Bam's absorption power would be neat to offer.

Chapter 215: Maybe add air and water to the Shinsu transformations you can buy.

Chapter 216: Anima stuff. Not sure of that should be offered as a perk or as a heritage of one of the 10 families. The ability to get animals like spirits instead of their phyiscal
form should definitely be available though.

A drawback based on Wangnan and the general despair of the Tower would be fitting, how he sees all his companions die, but he survives everything. Also, a power loss drawback should definitely be included.

Oh yeah, a perk that makes you seem important. Like how Khun decided at first glance that if he followed Bam, something interesting would happen. Or how Androssi didn't attack Rachel becaue she seemed like she came from some other place.

Axis/Exis joke option for 9k CP.

A make-it-up-yourself racial option: 0 CP for no benefits, 100 CP for something like Rak's race.

Maybe instead of what you have now as a capstone for the Regular origin, you could instead make it an option to be descended from one particular Great Family and have a very strong gift for their particular talents. Most of them are described here: http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/10_Great_Families

Also, a drawback for the general assholy in the tower, maybe with tiers: mere annoyances (100) --> able to give you a good fight (200) --> actually on your level or slightly above it (300)

Cuteness/handsomeness/beauty perk

Can I pitch an idea for a scenario? Not a demand, just something I thought could be cool. Instead of the point in the timeline of the game, you start way back at the beginning alongside the Eight Scribes, and have to join them in slaying the Titans and bringing a measure of order to the Downside as the Ninth Scribe. Because I want to fight some ancient star-titans and tame a hellish wasteland. Also, I was thinking, and the Savage "race" are kind of the odd man out for the patron Scribes. Ostensibly their human status means they fall under Gol Golarion, but they're treated as separate from his disciples by the game. No one represents them. So having your otherworldly nature make you align with their status as outsiders would make sense and complete the set.

>>55372657
That's... not a bad idea. I'm not sure I really want to make that a scenario though. It's pretty much a guaranteed win because we /know/ the Eight Scribes slew the Titans and I don't want to give out a reward to go with it for just going along with things.

I wouldn't mind turning it into a +0 Drawback though and let people start their time alongside the Eight Scribes, but that would lock out the entire Canon Companions table and both intended Scenarios. Plus, your perks won't do you much good, as they're going to be focused primarily on the Rites, so you'd be pretty much on your own and running off OOC powers if you wanted to take that route.

The Savage "race" is supposed to be the odd man out in any case. They worship /all/ the Scribes and don't see themselves as needing to have a sole patron.

I'm going to copy your post into my Notes to consider further when I get to that point, but right now it's more likely to end up at a +0 Drawback than a full Scenario.

>It's pretty much a guaranteed win because we /know/ the Eight Scribes slew the Titans
Well, I was thinking that butterflying things from your presence could change that, but I suppose that's true. Maybe make you have to face at least one of them solo, then, like all the other Scribes did? One of the ones they fought as a group, or take over the Tattered Mantle from Khaylmer.

I'm fine with that idea. A drawback works just as well, and I figured I'd probably need OOC powers to deal with the Titans anyway. Really, I just like the idea of taming the wasteland with the Scribes.

>The Savage "race" is supposed to be the odd man out in any case. They worship /all/ the Scribes and don't see themselves as needing to have a sole patron.
I guess? We see other people worship Scribes other than their patron, though. I don't know, it was just an idea I thought was neat. You're right that it does make sense for them to be the outsider even in their faith, though, I hadn't considered that angle. I like that.

It's not fiat enforced, no, though it is still there unless you have some way to counter it. The added CP for pure humans is partly that but mostly their innate lack of power compared to the other free origins.

>>55372935
They pretty clearly are separate consciousnesses though. As the game's narrator, they tell Frisk things that Frisk should have no way of knowing, and in the True Lab, describes actions Frisk does not do, but is implied that she does.

Light:

Illusions - Make a 3D hologram of something out of light.

Lasers - Highly focused light with enough intensity can create laser beams.

Blind - Eyes need light to see, so you just manipulate the light to prevent it from entering the eyes. Or you can blind them temporarily or permanently with sudden bright light. Like a flash bang or even light as intense as the sun.

Invisibility - Bend light around you so you're invisible.

Combat - Hard light constructs.

Shadow you can do same thing almost.

Blind - Block out the light entering the person's eyes by casting a dark shadow over their eyes. Sorta like a blindfold.

Shadow Walking - Teleportation in style.

Living Shadows - Like the holograms but instead made of solid shadow.

Combat - Make solid objects out of shadows. Blanket the entire country in darkness. Binding another person's shadow.

Its magic anon. If Elsa can make living snowmen, revive the dead, make ice palaces and usher in an ice age. Then you can do the same BS she pulls.

Hard light/shadow? Why not.
Laser Beams & Teleportation? Again its magic it runs off the rule of cool.

1. Think of a general plot with events in it, but don't railroad the player and limit their choices unless you really feel you have to do it. I prefer to give suggestions to the player.

2. Think of possible actions jumpers would take, and the kind of jumper that would choose the scenario and what they would do.

3. You should try reading preprinted campaigns/modules for tabletop games, they are really helpful.

4. Give them good rewards. I feel like War Of The First Exalt kind of fails to give a really good reward, at least for doing all this stuff.

Rather than taking place during the decline of magic, for example, it takes place after an apocalypse, with society and the world still in the process of healing and regaining it's former glory.
A lot of the playable races riff off classic races, but they make sure they end up as something unique to the setting. They've put a lot of work onto defining the magic systems of the setting, making sure that they all share common ground, that they can work together, and that they provide interesting grounds for exploration and discovery.
The best part of mizahar is that you can roleplay as anybody. If you want to roleplay the daily life of a simple farm girl, you can do it, and somebody was actually featured for doing that.
Probably the best part of the setting is just how broad it is. There's a place for literally anyone, and anyone can find their niche there.

You talked about a Permeation + Hardening combo the other day. At one point would you lose your senses if you used that Quirk?

Alright changed it so everyone who takes the pretender perk gets the points from the drawback. Made a couple other minor changes such as grammar and capitalization.
Anyways any comments, criticisms or suggestions are welcome.

Permeation kills your senses because the physical world just passes through your sensory organs, so you lose your senses whenever they can no longer be affected.

>>
>>55373716
Yes, being turned into ice is worse than dying. After all, a dead body still has the remains of a living being, organs and neurons and all that. An ice sculpture is wiped completely clean, it's got nothing in there but crystallized water. So probably a lot harder to return someone from that than from being dead. But the power of love is rather hyper-specialized, so it's better at undoing transformations rather than physical trauma, even if the transformation is objectively more entropic.

>t'd help if you had a more specific question on what you're trying to accomplish with said scenarios.

There are going to be 2 scenarios. The 1st one would be about freeing a country in not africa that was left to die by the world and enslaved by a warlord who is a puppet for a stronger nation of not Russia/China and upon completion the nation would follow you at your discretion

The 2nd would be about taking a job for a major power global corporation and doing a highly dangerous and classified mission for them and upon it's completion they would give you the resources and the beginning of a base so that you can start your own PMC base etc

I also want to know how to write OC companions like you do, I just can't figure out how to write these twin child soldiers companions other than they idolize you for saving them perhaps?

When it comes to characterizing OCs, you need to divorce them mentally from the Jumper - think about who they are as people, what their ambitions are, and their good and bad sides in equal measure. Have at least three positive and negative traits for a character, then spring a basic idea of them from that - though that's a guideline instead of a hard rule.

And most of Nikamoth's suggestions are what I'd suggest - do not immediately assume a Jumper's abilities or attitude. Look at them from a neutral perspective and give them a goal to work towards.
>>
>>55373790
Well now I'm wondering, what are some good perks for rendering miracles into a physical form?

I don't know much about the setting, but am I right in assuming the Solar Exalts could probably do it?
>>
>>55373834

I would suggest Overlord the series, It offers powerful magic and likely magic items. Just get level 100 and the item crafting perk and you can likely make all kinds of powerful and versatile rings.
>>
>>55373927
Then yes, that's something Solar Exalted are good at. It is one of the reasons why Deliberative-era magitech is so difficult to maintain or duplicate. Solars regularly used solidified abstract concepts as crafting ingredients. You can make some pretty good stuff if you've got the physical embodiment of heaven punishing man's hubris, for example.

>Solars regularly used solidified abstract concepts as crafting ingredients
Okay, and where does one get those? Are they just lying around in the various attics of Creation?
>>
>>55374142
From Pure Chaos, middlemarches and through Wyldcrafting charms. Maybe also uncapped demesne, but I can't imagine there being many of those in the time of the Solar Deliberative.
>>
>>55373908
D&D's pretty good for rings and magic items in general, Sword&Sorcery can get you some pulpy rings, Exalted generally doesn't feature rings much but sometimes has some pretty bullshit ones, LotR has rings being pretty important (there's many more minor ones than just the One/Nine/Seven/Three too).

Personally, I like setting seven rings with a tiny Dragon Ball from DBZ. Sets of wish-granting jewelry are nice.
>>
>>55374161
Oh, and from Malfeas and Gods.
>>
>>55373908
EX rank Item Creation from Fate and Anartist from SCP are two of the best perks for item creation in general. Both of them would give you the ability to make rings that do damn near anything you can imagine.
>>
>>55374070
But you're still just copying game stuff. You're not really adding anything. Even pulling away from game stuff just means taking the fluff of abilities. You've got few items too. Please put more effort in than just copying things and adding some basic structure.
>>
>>55374142
You make them. There are a bunch of ways to do it. Some Demesnes produce them. You can set up non-geomantic infrastructure to do it (the "physical form of heaven punishing hubris" thing comes from growing trees so tall they touch the sky and are smote for it). You can go off into the Wyld and form them directly from raw chaos using Wyldshaping charms. And spirits can learn a charm to interact with concepts as if they were physical, and another charm that can crystallize anything they're interacting with for safe transport, used together those can extract useful concepts from things.

And neither of you read his posts either. He's using most of the gameplay stuff as a base and just editing out the mechanics. It's still going to be just what you'd build for your character anyway just without mechanics limiting you.

It'll be another disappointment like Vampire the Requiem, where the maker just sticks to the game and the easy path.

>>
>>55374370
I went with eating time.

This allows me to feed on the time that people, places, and things would progress through - rapidly aging people till death, aging objects and tools till disintegration, and causing places (like buildings) to change as if fast-forwarding through time.

Feeding on time both sustains me and, as I improve my own ki-wielding abilities and powers, lets me add the ki that a person would have generated to my own pool.

... least. I think it would. Maybe somebody else has a different interpretation.

I don't really have a problem with the way the jump seems to be setting up, but if it really becomes a problem, I'd suggest using canon characters from the appropriate Houses and such as inspiration for writing second perk trees for every Visage/House. Less stuff based on their demonic abilities, and more what they do as a person.

Unless Demon doesn't have enough named characters for you to base enough perks on. In which case, ignore me.

>>55369686
>blasts its way upwards through power levels faster than some DBZ arcs

Not really? Only three of the characters actually came close to fight a Level 4, and even then it requires a collaboration between them. They basically become Generals, who we knew from previous sagas that could easily destroy tons of Level 3s. And when the Noah are serious, they are still capable of wiping the floor with the Black Order.
>>
>>55374464
I think a bigger problem with turning in setting abilities like these into perks is that...can't I just learn to get all the perks anyway? Why spend CP on stuff I can eventually unlock in setting?

I'm not too familiar with Demon other than a quick search but it seems like if these things can be gained with XP, we'd be able to get all the perks over time anyway.

Sure but even then, those are rarely the majority of the jump and often come with other things on top. And they're often coming with years or decades worth of training or experience or innate talent on top. Having most or all of your perks be like that, unless a lot of them take a long time to learn or are hard to learn, can be quite unattractive.

And, forgive me if I'm wrong but, I don't believe it takes that long to go up in dots for your lores. While since it's World of Darkness things can vary, I don't think it takes years of effort and work to upgrade a single dot.

We only have three canon innocences that aren't weaponse, that's discounting the hybrid and the sentient innocence that wouldn't be present in the jump as a purchase.

Well, if you plan on going through with it than I am officially fucking pumped. That being said, I would recommend going down the customization table route for innocence.

As cool as it is to share the powers of your favorite characters, in settings where the whole appeal of the powers are there uniqueness, it ends up feeling super weird when you're prancing about as the only person with a non-unique power i.e. Medaka Box, Touhou, etc.

Are they offered in the jump? If so, I can't find it.

They aren't specifically but you could just make a fairy be one of the companions you find through the companion perks.

EMIYA: There's some leftovers in the fridge if you're hungry. I won't be home in time to cook dinner, sorry. I'm busy doing reconnaissance since I think I saw something suspicious the other day. I love you very much.

Zappy: Table broke in half in bar fight. Requesting approval for method to solve problem.

I'd like to ask the thread for some writing advice.

I've been procrastinating starting a new chain with generic Isekai, and although, I'm more or less certain the choices I want to make, I have no idea how to write around one of the drawbacks. Namely, the Sealed" drawback, obviously having all outside perks sealed away is simple enough, but I have no idea how I would write someone as having all their physics knowledge be "just slightly inaccurate".

It's so vague that I have no idea how that would effect how a character behaves, what would someone with "slightly inaccurate" physics knowledge act when compared to someone unaffected, as well as vice versa. More or less all my writing is on hold until I can get this worked out.

You think gravity is just a thing that happens, it's not connected to mass
That could be an example.

Well if it was me I would be slightly annoyed, probably catch myself doing stuff that wont work like I expect it too but in time learn to roll with it.
