I've done haunted mansion adventures for D&D before. Normally for whatever reason my games seem to be on hiatus at halloween but this year I've got a sci-fi game and a Pokemon Tabletop United game running.

I might do something moderately spoopy for the Pokemon group. Don't think I've used any ghost types yet.

I usually run some kind of spooky one shot with my group, or a little side-adventure from the main campaign designed to be a little more horror-y than usual. Sometimes both, like running a one off of Dread or Actual Cannibal Shia LaBeouf before the main game. I'm thinking something Witchy this year.

In specific I'm running a Jojo campaign, and I'm trying to make a stand for 「Season of the Witch」 that is suitably spooky.

I'm running Ravenloft, but with all the supernatural bits taken out. It's going to be a straight-up feudal adventure with a weird murderous baron, some rebellious peasants, and some politics. The PCs will be jumping at shadows and looking for spooky bullshit everywhere (and sure, there will be some of that), but the core plot will just be a weird old dude in his weird old castle, and a bunch of serfs who want him dead.

But for some reason, every year, there are no spiders from the 31st of October to the first day of spring. Where do they go?

Also, mix in some weird "small town sacrifices people to the field god" + "small town has a ritual fight with the next small town". The village just over the hill has no idea where the Terror Pumpkin Monster comes from, but it arrives every year and wreaks havoc.

Two of the Inkling crews/gangs I'm writing fluff for are the Lamp Rays and Abyssal Zone, they're Inklings infected with Volpirism. They're inspired by vampire squid and flying squid!

I also need to finish details for the Riptides and the Sea Lions, Gonalope (hooked warsquid) infected with Mastigosis.

I want to include both in the Halloween adventure.

I want to run a haunted house, but I don't know what system to use. I want an emphasis on investigation, with the players being unable to effectively fight back against the ghosts but CoC, Fear Itself, World of Darkness, etc. don't really accommodate for ghosts as far as I can tell, most of their monsters have a physical presence.

It's sort of like a short-lived plant-based version of a golem. The problem is that it seems like the vast majority of /tg/ is now insistant on no lomger actually trying to improve the board and seems content to pointlessly wallow in it's own filth. The other half is too stupid to even realize it was better once.
