Do any other m/tg/ nerds obsess over foreign/non-english magic cards?
Currently looking for a playset of foil jp blood funnels
Where do you guys get foreign cards?
I tried to get my pauper deck all jp, but got lazy and went with just foiling it out instead.
Got my Ninja of the Deep Hours jp though, couldn't find any jp foil at the time.

I don't obsess over them, but I damn well do appreciate em. Pic is my most recent foreign pickup.

I think StarCityGames sometimes has them listed, but it's not particularly reliable for more obscure cards.
I don't specifically go out for foreign cards, but I don't mind using them if they're all my LGS has. For example, there's a cycle of lands from Legends that gives legendary creatures of any given color banding. I have them in Portuguese.
Im thinking of making japanese foil version out of my legacy deck. Its kinda easy just to order stuff from mcm.
I always have a ton of foreign cards because it just happens when you're on a budget.
My tron deck has two italian tron lands, a german tower, two french Solemns, a french Mind Stone, a french Wurmcoil engine, a german Sunken Ruins and a chinese Chandra.

Japan cards are pretty much on par with english cards in price. The expensive one nowadays are korean and russian cards.
>Tfw your language is considered inferior so the prices on spanish cards are actually lower than the english counterparts.
Fuck me. I have some chinese Inferno Titans which look pretty awesome and a french Vindicate which is my favourite card ever because it looks straight out of an entirely different game.

No, but I do like to pimp my decks. So right now the goal is foreign legacy Eldrazi. Not picky on the language, just stop long as it's unreadable. I think it fits the deck, cosmic horrors which are supposed to be Lovecraftian and defy logic. Also the fact that the deck is extremely straightforward and linear makes the drawback of complex card interactions nonexistent.

I have a jap Rise of the Dark Realms in my Liliana edh, and the only time anyone cared was when one dude didn't believe me when I told him what it did. I don't go out of my way to get them, but I happen to get some because my one LGS like pack warring with foreign packs. That's how I won a Korean EMN Liliana, actually.
Also, there is only one foreign card that matters.

But what about spanish inquisition? Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.
I have a playset of japanese collected companies
Didn't really thought much about it, it was pretty much the same price as a spanish/english playset on mkm
I go out of my way for japanese basic lands tho
