Golems are tools, not monsters.
They are made for lifting, carrying and shielding.
At best they're mono-task constructs.

Golems generally aren't particularly dangerous - they can't fly, they have no ranged attacks, intelligence score or special abilities of note. They're just hard to kill, that's all.
