It is for Dispossessed. They are already slow moving, so in smaller games, doubling up on units means you will be putting a lot of points into something that isn't going anywhere fast.

For Warriors it isn't so bad, since they are cheap enough to not be a problem., but you double up something like Longbeards or Ironbreakers you will be spending a ton for something that may not be able to get much use for quite some time.

On the upside, in larger games you can have 30 Ironbrakers for 400 points, which you can happily sit on objective and they wont budge off it all game, which is pretty funny.

Should I left this list as it is or change it? I have three options

1) drop the Saurus Scar-Veteran and use the Saurus Oldblood (120) and a unit of 20 skinks (120) instead

2) asseble the Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur as Troglodon (180) but I will end up with 60 unused points and I have now idea how to use these spare points.

3) instead of buying the second SC box I can but the Saurus Eternity Warden (140) and Saurus Guard box (300 for 3 units) and use them with Eternal Starhost Battalion (130) - 570pts in total. The question is - is Eternal Starhost based on 5-model units worth it?

400pts in 2000pts is not a lot of mixing. You can pick 2 WLC for a non-skryre army (which will be mono-pestilens for sure) or if you are mono-skryre you will use all your points for more skryre stuff or take clanrats just for objective capturing but noone will use clanrats as battleline again

I think it depends on your game plan and what you think you'll be running into.

Know your buds like monsters? Keep the Carno. But, I would like to ask why take the oldblood if you're going to add more skinks not the Saurus that he buffs? I personally prefer the Sunblood to Oldblood.

People flog the Trog, but I think its a solid unit if not a little bland. You coul take it and just lowball those points for the bonus for use later in the fight. (They’re called Triumphs in matched play, right?)

I don't think the Eternal Starhost is worth it with only 5 dudes a squad. You'll hear it a fuckton, but Guard are took weak to mortal wounds. With a global Slann dispelling shit, maybe, but I'd have to try it first.

And I don't take lances on Knights. Its a one-and-done mortal wound a piece that's too unreliable. I'd rather just have a better chance at getting a normal wound through.

Unrelated question from me: did the Dread Saurian's points change? I love that thing and I want to use it more.

I want to start a super-budget army just for having fun with skirmish and 1000pts. Anons claim that Seraphon is the one of the most cheap to play faction for now so I decided to give them a try.
The SC box has nearly everything I need for skirmish - a 16 renown hero (gonna convert the skink oracle from Troglodon kit as skink starpriest) and plenty of warriors and knights. I'm just not sure how should I expand it. I don't want to spend more than I would spend on two SC boxes. The Skins are an extra expense - I thought about one box to try paint schemes and have 1 renown fillers for my warband

Trogs great at killing chaff, Carno is decent at it, buy a Slann before you buy more Saurus. He makes a lot of lists work because of 3 spells a turn, plus a constellation and summoning if you have points left over.

Otherwise your list is fine for the models you have, it's bad overall. Looking at it you're very vulnerable to shooting vs the big saurus blob and saurus knights are one of the shittiest units in the game. Slightly less shitty when you run bloodclaw and stack (If you can still do this) Saurus Cowboy bite buffs on a big group.

Was not even me. The reason guards are sketchy is because 20 points per wound with low mobility, no shooting and no mortal wound defence is a liability against some armies. Especially if you pay another good 100 points for a battalion and 80 to keep a mystical shield up on your guards. Knights have twice as many wounds per point and are in average around 65% faster then guards while running.

Alright boys, I need some advice for my Slaanesh army. I used to run a daemon cohort, but now that formation is gone.
I have 60 daemonettes that I was running 3x20. With the new horde pricing, it makes more sense to run them as 2x30 now. Not only does this save points, it also adds a buffer before I lose the 20 model bonus.
But it does create a separate problem. I need a third battleline now. What do you guys recommend?
Things I'm considering:
Hellstriders - never used them. I guess they're like Seekers but less killy and battle line.
Chaos warriors - seem pretty tough, I'd use them defensively to hold rear objectives.
More daemonettes - boring and not really what I want to build and paint unless other options are shit.
FWIW, my general is a KoS, he advances up with the daemonettes to buff them into a huge blender. Heralds, Seekers, and chariots flank and run interference. In large games I bring a distraction Soulgrinder.

TL;DR I need recommendations for my third Slaanesh battleline.

The problem with that is heralds don't have command abilities. Exalted chariots can dish out damage but they're not as survivable as a KoS and can only use inspiring presence. I'm not that worried about battle shock anyway, so I'd rather run pretenders for an extra trait on the keeper and rerolling 1s to hit for the big squads.

The standard StD allegiance is pretty boring and lacklustre.
Bloodbound stuff can work with Khorne marked stuff. Gorebeast Chariots standout as you can buff their charge roll.
Tzeentch Fatesworn Warband is pretty good. Makes your stuff even tougher and makes them all hit harder.
Slaanesh works better with daemons but the occasional brick of Warriors gives some much needed resilience.
Nurgle we'll have to see what Blightwar brings us.
