What is a easily available game that has a long playtime? I want something that I can rip into with some nerdy mates.
>inb4 nerdy
Fuck you like there's any better word to describe it
>>55101101
civilization
>>55101101
you could just say mates, you don't have to describe what type of friend they are, like I don't introduce someone by saying "this is my black friend" or "this is my sports friend"

Tabletop version of Civilization,
Settlers of Catan when played by more than 4 people.
Eastern Block Monopoly knock-off, EuroBusiness.
Army Men (but it requires a bucket of army men for each player)

I'm a big fan of World in Flames. Playtime with 5 people who all know what they're doing usually runs to the 100-150 hours range.

At least if you're talking about Avalon Hill's Civilization, it's not that long.
>>55102732
No, I'm talking about the recoursed version of Civ. They've made vidya out of the tabletop, then they've made another tabletop out of the vidya. And that version is pretty long, especially when you have more than three players.

Also, another lenghty game, but sadly only for two players (still worth playing):
A Few Acres of Snow
Takes a FUCKLOAD of time and yet is super fun once both players learn basics of each side.

What's the game in the pic?

Campaign for north africa
takes months to play from my knowledge

Fire In The East, part of SPI's grand strategy Europa game
>>55103003
CfNA is another game but equally as massive
>>55103013
Thx

That map looks like Turkey and the Levant, though. As well as North Africa.
>>55103196
That's because the Europa series covers a map from Archangel to Gibraltar
>>55103196
>>55103255
Whereas CfNA only covers the area here

It's easy to get some wargames that have months of normal intense playtime.
