I'm making a character who is the son of a knight but hated the courts and became an adventurer. Would he have a title?

If his father just assumed it'll be a passing flight of fancy and that he'd be back home in a bit, yes, he would.
If his father decided to disown the son over his idiotic decision to tarnish the family's name by becoming a common adventurer, then no, he wouldn't.
He'd have a courtesy title like "sir" or "lord" or whatever, but he doesn't have any official title until pops kicks the bucket.

Fictional feudal systems vary, but in my mind, no. If his father was a landed knight and he stood to inherit property, that's different.
