Mounts. Mount me, mount a horse, mount a dragon, whatever. What kind of mounts have you witnessed in your games? Anything strange or fucked up?
Strangest mount I've seen was an elf that rode an elk. Weird part was how he basically made use of the elk as a second fighter.

I have a villain that presented himself leading a military parade mounted on an owlbear, being cheered by the people for his victory over elfs and later orcs. Presenting the trophies being carried by the soldiers behind him, the armor and weapons of the defeated

That happened in a early 3rd Edition D&D game I was in. The half-orc fighter would carry around the gnome wizard. It was a running gag that the gnome was a living wand of fireballs used by the orc.

Albino psychic spider the size of a horse. Could psychically link with it's rider, allowing for unparalleled control in combat. Also packed a Psychic Power that could turn a foes mind into slush.
And then the character's followers put enchanted barding on it.
