Has anyone ever had their D&D campaign become awkward due to ERP? About six years me and a few friends started a 3.5 campaign, which we later converted into 5e. It was a real life group and when we began everyone could get together. But slowly things happened. A few people couldn't make it, then we took it online, then sessions got more and more distant.
It eventually became a 1-on-1 campaign, between me and the DM. Slowly, it got more mature, but now we're explicitly involving ERP. My gal has sex every few sessions. Now, the stars have aligned and a few people, through online play, are rejoining. The sexual content has been dialed back but I won't even deny its still awkward; the DM's NPCs are still flirty and still acknowledge what happened, and now other players are getting in on it.

No, much to my consternation.
I just kick people before it becomes an issue. It doesn't take very long to recognize when someone just lacks any self-awareness.
the sex of the two participants will determine my interest in the matter.

I'm not even ashamed to say this has everything to do with everything in this context.

What exactly about it is awkward? Are any of the other players put off or upset by it? Or are you just nervous about getting other people involved in something?
You enjoyed ERPing, right? And at least from your post, it sounds like nobody has outright spoken against it. It's easy to feel a sense of shame or uncertainty there, but I think you just need to have more confidence in yourself.

Sounds like you're me.
ERP is fine as long as it isn't awkward for the parties involved. If other players aren't so keen on it, or you're not sure, don't make things awkward for everyone else. Nothing wrong with having your PC or the NPCs being flirtatious, unless there's no maturity here.

Sex and ero makes everything about gaming awkward.

so are you feeling awkward because other people are finding out you ERP'ed with the DM or arr you feeling jealous that the other players are getting in kn the ERP? Your post is unclear.

Well? Are you going to explain?
