So I was setting a game of light urban fantasy (mostly mundane crime with some rare wizards, vamps and fae here and there) in "our earth, present day, present time just a dash of weirdness added" as I told my players.
And then one player wame to me with his new character and it's Ryan gosling.
To clarify, he didn't make a driver expy or some other gosling character. His PC's name is "Ryan gosling". His Background is compiled from gosling's wiki page, some articles from gossip press and a bit at the end about how he went on a drug blender and disappeared and that's why he doesn't start with money.
What would you do in this situation?
Tell him to cut that shit out. You should make actual characters, not jokes.Unless the campaign is one big joke in which case, go right ahead.

It depends.
If he's got a history of being a good roleplayer and wants to see how far he can go, I say let him pretend to be Ryan Gosling. If he's known for making stupid jokes you might as well kick him because in that case he's obviously not taking your game seriously.
I'd allow it.
If he acts like a prick in the game and ruins people's fun then shit can it.
