Just use Twilight 2013 to run a STALKER game; it would work much better. You barely need to homebrew anything either, just some armour and the mutants.

Twilight or I just home brewed my own ruleset. We have a Facebook group - still designing the rules as well. Pic related - it's for a smaller scale/gives a bit of a wargaming feel and a "pick up group" vibe to play at local stores

Added someone to the group, but yeah my group read through and veto' that ruleset and we like the current one I'm using. It's barely fleshed out and needs a ton of options. This is simply a barebones ruleset

It is. Stalker is a christian series. The wish granter is a representation of temptations broadly, with various things like greed, being a shitty person, and even being good but willfully ignorant of the proper way of things leads to different bad ends. C-conciousness is trying to get you to try a different way other than the narrow path to end suffering and violence, kind of like Law. The zone is Christian's dreamscape.
I'm talking out my ass but it's a fun interpretation anyways.
