Does anybody play? If so what version do you prefer? Which version would you recommend to a new player?
Bump?
We used the old school 1st edition set, and made our own houseruled cards that were selected at the beginning of each turn.
The guy who made the cards just wrote shit on an index card and each player drew a card each turn, they were all
>fire on your carrier! Lose 1 plane on a random carrier
>production boost! gain $5 extra to spend on units at the end of your turn
If the card didn't apply to you (like carrier fire! but you had no carriers) then it was ignored

I got A&A 1942 second edition, good game but takes a lot of time to finish. I had a Japanese carrier group that went through the Suez Canal and the game still wasn't over for the Allies.

A&A 1940 europe and pacific combined.

I would recommend one of the electronic versions like triple a. The game takes too long to set up and needs too many players for a board game.

Wow, didn't know about Triple A. Downloading now, thanks anon. Love A&A but only ever knew about the REALLY OLD digital version from like the 90s or some shit.
