We get it, tomb kings were underutilised before they were squats. We all know GW has no idea how "People only buy models they see" works, and discontinued a mediocre model line because surprisingly, nobody was buying twenty year old sculpts that were only available in resin online.
Who knows, maybe in forty years, when they're quite finished with sigmarines, chaos, and dwarves, they'll start fleshing out other factions in AoS too, and maybe tomb kangz will return. But it'll take a very long time.
Still, the sepulchral guard look fantastic for my Army of Darkness skellington army. When the fuck are they coming out.

Definitely this - there's even lore backup for the idea - there's a bit in the 6e army book describing one of the last living Nehekharan armies with "Tuskers", the war-beasts of the dark-skinned Ebonian auxiliaries (not making this up, page 11, Siege of the Dead) - I've only seen 1 other mention of Tuskers, this map, they're blatantly war elephants

Just imagine being some araby nomad going out explorin and finding giant ass tombs thinking, "boy oh boy, I hope theres some treasure to loot and buy more goats!" and suddenly the desert sands start to shake and you see pic related accompanied by thousands of undead skeletons, giant skeletons, scorpions and all kinds of shit.
