To be honest, you'll probably never see your minis again. If he even still has access to them (doubtful), it's going to be damn hard to prove that you have a title to them if he doesn't want to just hand them over. Maybe he will, but maybe he won't. And if he doesn't want to, I'm not sure how you could force him, short of driving over to wherever he used to live and trying to nab them.

If you know what school he went to, you might try calling the university's appropriate dorm organization and trying to find out if they have or at least know where your minis are, but that's iffy for a whole lot of reasons, simplest of which might be that he might not have kept the minis in his dorm.

That's just parania, but it probably is more trouble than it's worth if he isn't willing to just give them to you. I would say you shouldn't bother, because that makes you that much more likely to have to deal with him when he gets out, but if you barely knew him whatever.

Came off as an autist but otherwise chill guy. Hearing he got v& definitely shook me.

I'm thinking about sending a "hey how are you doing" letter and casually mentioning my minis partway through. I'm just hoping to get a location so I can powwow with whichever of his tabletop group is willing to help me out.

I should also probably mention that he was living about 6 hours away from me at the time of his arrest, so if I had to go over there it'd be a day trip deal. So not prohibitively expensive but I'd definitely have to plan going out there
