So I'm thinking about getting back into Tabletop Warhammer again, it's been about 5 years, maybe longer since I last played. What I'm confused by is should I go with 40k or go try out Age of Sigmar.
I also don't really know much about Age of Sigmar, is it just a hard reboot of Warhammer Fantasy or something?
How are either of these games fairing at the moment?

You are lying
You are lying and trying to recreate the same argument threads we had for weeks after AoS went live
I do not appreciate it sir.

40k just had a bunch of huge releases and a new rule set that is pretty good (in my opinion), now i dont play age of sigmar but from what ive seen its a reboot/continuation of fantasy. Theres a ton of new 40k players because of the new edition and gw has sort of focused on releasing 40k stuff for a few months because of the new edition.

PS: actual answer - Warhammer Fantasy is dead, AoS is completely different and jury is out on if/when it'll be worth a damn. Releases are going fairly slowly and they haven't been pushing it as much, I'm concerned.
On the flip side 40k is getting all new stuff, an all new edition, the plot is moving, balance is shifting... It's probably a really good time.to get into it. Just remember that GW is overpriced

Hey man, I don't even know when AoS went live, I was never into Warhammer Fantasy until I started playing Total Warhammer. I don't know what argument you're even talking about.

So 40k has it pretty good right now? I may just have to go back to that. If I do I'm gonna just play some form of Space marine again, did all the unique Space Marine Codexes get updated? Are Dark Angels not shit anymore?

Oh yeah don't worry, I was a 40k player back in the day, I remember how shit it can be. Thanks for the tip. I think I'll go 40k for now and maybe down the line I'll go try AoS if it pans out, which I hope it does.

Not yet. Codexes are trickling out. There's no chapter specific rules right now.
