Hey, fa/tg/guy asking for character advice here. I'm trying to make a space captain/smuggler who isn't a Han Solo knockoff. I've never played a sci fi campaign before and I don't really know where to start.

Ship captain and smuggler are not personality traits. Make him as lawful or chaotic or good or as evil as you want then give him a captain's license and a smuggling compartment and your good to go.
