Not wanting to be fedora but technically speaking, aren't all religions mythologies by definition unless you believe in them or it just don't apply to religions with modern worshippers? (Altough I've seen the term for ancient and tribal religions despite neo-pagans and natives)

Ignoring for a moment about if god is real or not. Why should it be a FAKE mythos?
>>54784169
I guess the differences between a fake and real mythos is that one was made up by a single dude recently, and the other developed alongside a culture? The word itself kinda implies that it's not reality, or hasn't been real for a very, very long time.

Yes. Much like the difference between the Norwegian and Swedish language(s), it comes down to "whoever has more people gets to decide what it's called".
There are a few people in the world who unironically currently believe in Odin, Zeus, etc., but since they're a tiny minority, we refer to their religious beliefs as "mythology", whereas major world beliefs like Christianity, Islam, etc. are "religions" because they have enough adherents that their beliefs are widely seen as current.

Technically is.
YHWH is just the Canaanite wargod, with all the other gods removed from the pantheon - with some Babylonian creation myths tacked on.
