Well yeah. What, did you think it'd be easy? You are probably not a bad person naturally, and to stay evil you have to do stupid shit that any normal person would probably realize wasnt a good idea in the long run.

If you're still evil midway through a campaign, you're either an idiot, playing in a game that railroads you into evil, or deliberately trying to find ways for your character to remain static and one dimensional.

Major Plot Device (CL20)
The Deathstar has a fandom and universe wide aura of Illusion that makes it seem like a threat (DC 40 to disbelieve) while not being in any way or form an actual threat. Using ten full-round actions while observing the Deathstar makes the character realize that the Deathstar is a stupid name, reducing the DC to 10. If the character then spends another ten full-round actions observing the Deathstar the DC is reduce to 3 as the character realizes how fucking awful the Deathstar's design is.

>You know, the stupid thing about alignment is that the Good-Evil axis is and always has been more important than the Law-Chaos axis because the former is actually about your moral views but the latter is only about the methods you're willing to take to reach your moral ideal.

That's because Law was originally supposed to mean "belief in society over the individual" while Chaos was "belief in the individual over society". That's why a Lawful Good character and a Lawful Evil one could find common ground, they both prefer an orderly society even if they differ on the details, and Lawful characters constantly clash with Chaotic ones of all stripes because they seek to undermine society and its institutions whether they are Good or Evil.

With the introduction of the idea that Law equates to following a personal code it's become meaningless because no two people would bond just over the idea that they both follow codes that are completely different, just as you would never have a conflict between people who follow a code vs people who don't.

yes, synthesist summoner is extremely overpowered, that player will have twice the HP pool of anyone else and be able to make 3 attacks at level 1, i would suggest not allowing him to do that unless you want the rest of your party to feel like they contribute nothing to combat

>>54755111
Know that the Synthesist is just a worse Summoner. He has to occupy his actions with it instead of casting and the eidolon wouldn't be much worse off.

Well, I read the entry on d20pfsrd about them. The entry on Eidolons says slam and claw attacks are all primary, but I wonder, do they become secondary if used in succession? E.g. the first attack is primary and the ones after are secondary.

>>54755187
Okay, good... I'm nervous about allowing the other players to get away with anything too powerful.

I guess you can't have a space western without references to stereotypical Native mysticism.
>>
>>54755220
If they're all primary and he has enough limbs, he can use them all as primary attacks. IE, they're all full BAB.

IE: If he has four arms, two claws and one slam, he can make them all at full attack bonus. If he's got a quadrupedal eidolon he might be better off with a bite.
>>

We did it you guys we reached Society level of players here
>>
>>54754983
If it's any consolation, I probably would've made a different app, and you said you liked mine, so it's for the best you didn't!
>>
>>54755220
>but I wonder, do they become secondary if used in succession?

Nope! That's half the point of the primary/secondary division, that primary attacks get to be made at full BAB when full attacking and secondary attacks don't. The other difference is that you get to add your full STR mod to damage with primary attacks, but only half of it (rounded down, you almost always round down in Pathfinder) for secondary attacks.
>>
>>54755220
Primary natural attacks aren't always primary, it just means they can be used that way. If you have multiple kinds of attacks, like bites and claws, which would both be primary on their own, you have to choose which is primary. Similarly if you include manufactured weapons, all those natural attacks become secondary.
>>
Should I bar this archetype from my game? I don't like restricting options, but I also want to avoid at all costs the rest of the party feeling useless.

As a middle ground, are there certain builds that I can restrict? Like, "Hey, you can play sythesist, but no using ____"

But that's wrong, primary attacks only become secondary if you're attacking with a manufactured weapon.

If you're going to ban Synthesist, you might as well just ban Summoner entirely. A base summoner is WAY more powerful than a Synth.

I feel like they forgot about something. What ever happened to the underground icy caverns full of electric moths andoxygen, and that one cavern with the portal that keeps spitting out confused humanoids who eventually started to populate and settle Aballon's deep underground
>>
So, those of you who have read it already: what's your overall impression of Starfinder?
>>
>>54755286
Nothing you do as a Synthesist is more powerful or dangerous than a vanilla Summoner doing completely ordinary Summoner things. It's a sacrifice archetype to gain a certain style you might have in mind for your character.

It's going to be an overpowered class to almost the degree of Sorcerers, not quite Wizard/Cleric/Druid level. The 'problem' is that the way it is overpowered is more directly comparable to melee classes. Whom Paizo LOVE to buttfuck in every possible way.
>>
>>54755081
Virus bars exist, anon! You go there and willingly get injected with code that replicates all sorts of drugs or desires!
>>
>>54755365
I'll be honest, I like it! I think it's a really good system, and I love all its rules. Everyone feels much tougher, and each class feels balanced out aside from maybe Envoy, but that just needs mild improvement.
>>
>>54755365
A system and setting I'm actually excited to play in based on its own merits, rather than simply knowing someone will come along and make a "fixed" campaign.
>>
>>54755365

>>
>>54755554
no
>>
>>54755398
I agree, with the SLN needing a bit of a helping hand too.
The AC bonus for Sol Armor only works for light armor, so why is it so staggered?
And the Sol Weapon is to weak for to long, why not pick up a high tech long sword for 5 lvs? it'd be better if you still want to keep a hand free, and if you don't care about keeping a hand free just pick up a space greatsword.

Also the dead level 5 and 15 is baffling.
>>
>>54755589
I feel like the solar armour is a little bit underrated- who's going to say no to a flat bonus to AC? Then it stacks on top of your light armour, too, then you can improve your light armour further.. etc. I haven't really read much into Solarion as it doesn't interest me as a class, so I didn't realise that these were issues.
>>
>>54754133
Wildstar was a great game
>>
>>54755619
Light armor total protection (assuming you keep Dex capped) looks about the same as Heavy before including the bonus. Can't Mega right now, but in a few hours I'll look deeper into things. Possibly go for a Light Armor melee build using mobility tricks and Graviton powers to manipulate the battlefield?
>>
>>54755619
Well, the flat AC feels like it's to little when "creatures in starfinder are going to be more accurate the pathfinder" is a line they say in the monster conversion section.

Really, the nicest part of the armor isn't the ac but the energy resistance, which looks pretty nice but at the same time, later game Sol weapons are pretty beefy that the resistance isn't very impressive by comparison.

My guess is the Sol is going to be the new core monk but better, pretty strong mid to late game, but a chore for no real reason at early.
>>
>>54755665
I believe it's slightly less protection than Heavy armour, but you keep your movement speed and you don't get as much of an ACP.

I never said it did.
I dislike
>seperating Arcane, Divine, and Psychic Magic. I really enjoy it when magic types feel distrinct from one another, and while this wasn't super well done in PF I appreciated the effort. Starfinder's magic simply feels "united" when convenient. Mystics feel like !Clerics in both fluff and function despite they're supposed ability to cover a range of concepts. Same goes for Technomancer.
>Iterative attacks are still in. They're just class features instead of one unified thing
>I dislike the science fantasy thing. I can handle splashes of Sci-Fi in fantasy settings, but Starfinder's way of handling feels way to awkward. Less chocolate with delicious peanut butter in the center and more a sticky wad of peanut butter with chocolate in the middle.

Gather ‘round /pfg/ it’s time for a tale from the Flower Court, and the six saps duped into endowing it with a soul. I bring a tale of heroism, international diplomacy, and a bunch of random jackasses blundering into situations far above their paygrade! Virtues have mercy.

Cast:

Ichabod, CN Rogue – A devious master of trickery and deception, the greatest thief in all Lote—is what the whispers in the corners of the court say. A goofy kid, looking for a good time, and some people to share it with. Maybe. Probably. He hopes.

Sibyl Lichter, NG Vitalist – A taciturn aasimar from a remote corner of the kingdom, she seeks to mend both body and soul. Deeply empathetic, she’s abhors violence in all its forms. Bit of an enigma at, since she seems to be biding her time, in preparation for something…

Rae, N Alchemist – The (not so) good doctor. A researcher summoned to provide the party with a scholarly and gleefully amoral perspective. The group’s resident spaghettimancer, though she seems to be warming up a little. She’s also totally in love with, and may be lightly stalking, the Royal Scribe.

Derrin Kline, LG Paladin/Skald - A stupid kid from the former Bazarian empire, drawn to Lote in search of a purpose. Brash, compassionate, and almost suicidally reckless in the face of danger, Derrin serves as a continual reminder of their purpose and duty. Also, a big gay dork who’s doing her best to remain focused while surrounded by cute girls.

Sir Mathéo Le Guen, LG Warlord – A Knight sworn to the service of the Nymph who rescued him, journeyed to Lote, the last sanctuary for their virtues.Tthe only real adult in the party;constantly surprised by the outlandish behaviors of his comrades.

Illaria, CN Bard – A hedonistic cult leader, bringing her flock to Lote in search of a better life. Joined up with because she wants to better everyone else’s lives, at least that’s what her followers say. Illaria has remained tight lipped on the subject.

Session 3 – In Which Our Heroes Make Friends and Influence Foxes

>The party emerges from the grotto nearly eight hours later, exhausted, but content. Each of them bearing a token of the Nereid’s affections.
>After resting for the night, the group starts off before dawn, the rain subsides to a mere sprinkling.
>Near midday the party hears the sound of hooves approaching along the road
>Matheo and their guide pull off into a copse of trees to hide, while the rest of the party hunkers down closer to the road.
>The procession, and it truly is a procession, is decked in full royal regalia, as befits the entourage of the crown prince of Kanese.
>Illaria, Rae, and Sibly are instantly spotted, prompting Derrin to break cover to aid in negotiations.
>Things proceed, surprisingly, without violence despite the party looking suspicious as fuck.
>The prince is chasing a shapeshifting spy.
>Hmmmmm… makes one wonder about that not at all suspicious looking fox standing in the tall grass watching the proceedings.
>It’s clear prince Viscer doesn’t buy their story about being on a simple humanitarian mission, but he also doesn’t think they’re bandits or spies, and is about to grant them passage.
>A situation being resolved with grace and tact?! This looks like a job for ICHABOD!
>For reasons unknown even to the virtues themselves, Ichabod rises from the bush he was still concealed in, and begins insulting their fox hunting technique.
>Editor’s Note: It seems he thought it was safe to come out. Why he thought the insults were appropriate shall forever be a mystery.
>Silver tongues manage to deescalate the situation, but the party is now “kill on sight” in Kanese; as the prince and his retinue disappear around a bend.
>Sibyl breaks down sobbing, after not only lying to royalty, but nearly being killed for it.
>Rae attempts to comfort her, but only succeeds in giving her a slightly molest-y backrub.
>>
>>54755874
Shitposting aside, it sounds like a lewd "one" shot I would run. The question is, is rescuing the android ally the goal, or do you force the party to all play as androids?
>>
>>54756010
>Derrin punches Ichabod in the face.
>Illaria spots the fox, and points it out.
>Matheo breaks cover atop Peredur and dives off the horse to tackle the poor creature.
>He falls short, and lands at the feet of a woman dressed in hastily donned armor, atop courtly garb.
>The fox introduces herself as Dame Sarse, a spy for Lote.
>To give them deniability, Sarse tells them little of her mission, but offers them a few of the papers she’s carrying, with the instructions to turn them and a fox pelt in to a Kanase military outpost whenever they get a chance.
>Can’t have the Ensoulment party be seen in the last known location of a spy, lest they be accused of espionage
>Given their grasp of intrigue, the party takes her advice, and they part ways.
>It takes two full days to reach their destination, crossing the last ridge just after sundown.
>The city lies in the basin, pressed up to the opposite wall of the valley. Blankets, tarps, and sheets have been spread between buildings, blocking the all visibility.
>In the distance a bonfire burns, and shapes move around it.
>Kobolds. Mostly red and black, but one a lustrous silver clearly lording over the rest.
>A gout of flame erupts, consuming a watchtower, and the hapless dwarves dangling beneath it.
>One shape in particular catches their eyes.
>A massive, red shape, all wings and scales and jagged claws.
>>
>>54756012
>The question is, is rescuing the android ally the goal, or do you force the party to all play as androids?

Well well, now ain't that the million credit question? That's really up to the ultimate party composition and the interests of the DM!

Session 4 – In Which our Heroes Learn What Silver Means

>The Red Dragon and their Kobold minions are occupied, which gives the party a chance to ride for the citadel.
>The dragon swoops low, but they make it to the gates.
>As expected, they’ve been trapped, but the shoddy kobold workmanship is no match for Ichabod.
>Inside it’s dark, and quiet. Too qui—OH FUCK KOBOLDS.
>Nearly a dozen kobolds swarm from the walls, with archers in the upper windows.
>Despite taking heavy fire, the party cuts, stabs, smacks, and bombs their way through the assembled hordes, and into an abandoned tavern just across the street from the gate.
>Inside, they find a dwarven prisoner and more kobolds.
>After her rescue, the Dwarf tells them the remaining dwarves are holed up in the mine, two blocks north-east of the bar.
>The kobolds seemed to have ceased their assault, except for a constant, rhythmic yipping
>The party takes a few minutes to breathe, before pushing out into the back alley and sprinting for the mine.
>Kobolds on rooftops fire volley after volley, as the slaves charge forward to block their path.
>Finally, they make it to within a few feet of the mine, when the omnipresent yipping comes to its climax.
> A silver kobold, wielding a long spear, emerges from the shadows. Nearly two dozen archers line the rooftops, bows at the ready.
> "I have come to expand my kingdom. I have slain the chief of these dwarves and now wage a war to claim the survivors. I have been giving blessing for this by Movriad the Immortal Red, who speaks for Emporer Fernodeus himself."
> "Your ruler holds no dominion over these people, and neither shall you. You and your kind will find nothing but death here. You will claim nothing but despair, and Death awaits for your foolishness!"
>"Your piety and obedience to whatever demon you profess to follow will not save you. For your dishonorable assault on this place and these people, you can never be forgiven! Have at thee!"
>Round 1 Fight!
>>
>>54756043
>Illaria’s banner flies high! As the inspiring cadence of her pipes counters the Kobold chants.
>Matheo and Peredur charge Kyder the Silver. The kobold knocks aside Matheo’s lance with ease, but the noble steed strikes true, drawing first blood.
>The scion responds with a perfect strike, that punches through Matheo’s breastplate like tissue paper, wounding him sorely. His form blurs, as he begins to move in a deadly dance
>Ichabod joins the fray, fading from the world for a moment, to strike where his enemy least expects. The blow strikes true, dealing a critical wound to Kyder, and sending him fleeing for his life!
>Derrin rushes in, and takes the opportunity to swiftly strike, catching Kyder in the side with a dagger.
>Rae’s bomb goes wide, impacting on the wall with a gout of flame.
>The chant begins again, as the kobolds rain arrows down atop the party.
>Matheo strikes true! At least he would have, had Kyder been six inches to the left. Peredur nips the Kobold again.
>The rogue’s critical strike awakens some primal fear deep within the Kobold. He must flee, lest he be killed! Kyder strikes the rogue, and steps into shadows, fading from the world.
>Sibyl gives Ichabod a peck on the cheek, as the party heals, and gets the non-combatants into the mine, all the while, tiny arrows still rain down.
>There’s a sound of breaking glass and splintering wood as upper floor of a building explodes outwards in a flash of fire and silver!
>KYDER MAKES AN ENTRANCE!
>Round 2 Fight!
>Derrin swings, but her blade ricochet’s off his armor.
>He responds, by stabbing straight through the young Paladin, to reach Matheo! Before it was a performance, now it’s war. His wounds have closed! The support of his people gives Kyder the determination to continue fighting.
>Illaria maintains her performance, and wades into combat with her blade
>Ichabod throws sand in his face, but the lip of the helmet blocks most of it.
>>
>>54756034
I'd just present the question to the party directly, I think.
>>
>>54756058
>Despite her grievous wounds, Derrin takes the opening, and strikes at the Kobold’s unguarded back!
> There’s a thunk of steel on wood, as the kobold whirls to face her, taking a stab from Illaria in the process. Blocking both thrusts with his spear, before channeling the momentum into vaulting through the air.
>Rae strikes true with a bomb, throwing the Kobold into a wall, and knocking the wind out of him.
>Archers continue laying down covering fire, while more slaves flood the streets.
>Matheo bleeds profusely, it seems the strike nicked an artery! He cuts down two of the warriors blocking their retreat, while Peredur begins kicking, biting, and trampling down the coming onslaught.
>Desperate, and blinded by rage, he lashes out twice at Derrin. The first jab caught in her blades, but the second inflicting a nasty head wound.
>She falls under the onslaught, and Kyrder roars in triumph. Victory is assur—he feels a sharp pain at the base of his skull, and the world goes black, as Ichabod finishes the job.
>Illaria rushes to provide aid to Derrin, but she’s still unconscious.
>Overhead, the canopy as the air is filled with the beating of massive wings!
>Ichabod grabs the unconscious kobold, and sprints towards the mines.
>Sibyl kneels down, and kisses Derrin, deeply, awakening the Paladin.
>Arrows strike Sibyl’s unprotected back, and her vision fades, but she doesn’t fall.
>Matheo and Peredur face down the hordes, ensuring their comrade’s escape!
>Derrin picks herself up, and shields Sibyl with her body, while the aasimar staggers to safety.
>Another rooftop explodes in fire, as Rae tosses a parting shot.
>The rumbling grows closer, and the spiked back of the beast appears above the buildings.
>Matheo and Derrin flee into the mines.
>A blast of heat follows them down the tunnel.

>Final Kill Count: 18 kobold slaves, 14 kobold soldiers, 1 Kobold Scion. = 33

Godclaw was trash. Torrent and Pike were both better.

It still baffles me that Iomedae commanded her own followers to destroy her own followers.

And sadly it looks like the Knights of Golarion are just as much of blood-hungry murderhobos as the Reclamation

I'm making an Operative information contact named Lee (or Leah, depending on the game and my players) Kanon, to be used in every game I GM and if I ever want to play that general character theme

1. Be a dick, but never in a situation where it'll fuck you over. After all, how are you supposed to regain what's rightfully yours if you make enemies?

2. Treat the party with a modicum of respect, even if they disgust you. Every lord needs his serfs!

3. Spend exorbitant amounts on luxuries. Just because one is temporarily inconvenienced, doesn't excuse living like a pauper.

4. Use a rapier, dueling sword, or other proper weapon made from the finest Taldan steel. A nobleman never sullies his hands with anything less.

5. Never turn down an opportunity to spread the legend of your greatness! If all else fails, then the people shall carry you to luxury on their backs.

6. Spread your seed widely. Bastard children, particularly ones conceived with adventurers, or those with outsider or draconic blood, are powerful tools to wage war with. Treat them well, and they will be your most loyal of pawns.

7. Never make a deal. Be your would-be patron fey, devil, or other manner of powerful being, the cost is never worth it. A man cannot rule while indebted to another.

Godclaw didn't follow anyone. They followed caricatures of five deities based upon their own twisted philosophy, Anon.

That's very, very different. In fact, that's the definition of heresy and should be dealt with swiftly. They were literally perverting the belief in Iomedae and Her ideals.

Yet they still recieved spells and magic from all 5 deities, and many of their number were still official members of theri churches, including the descendant of Seldinin Choaz himself, Regan Vashan, who not only was a well known and accepted member of the church of Iomedae and one of their endorsed paladins, but was also given full permission and endorsement from the church to join the Godclaw.

Please educate yourself before trying to force a schism you unlearned cur.

>Combat featuring well over 30 enemies, probably twice that many if the party still felt the need to flee.

How did that run? Seems like it would take forever, I don't think I've ever seen a combat with even twenty enemies.

Session took about 6 hours, with 90-ish minutes being spent getting to the city under the dragon's nose.

The players planned their turns/pretyped, and Protag kept the enemies running like a well-oiled machine.

>Worships Abadar, god of Cive who owns the largest business in SF, Irori the god of self perfection and improvement, Torag the god of Defense and Fortification, Iomedae the supposed god of martial chivalry, and only respects Asmodeus for his aspects as a strategist and magician
>The only Hellknight order noted to have considerable ties to Diabolism is the Order of the Gate
I get it, your an unenduated humanocentric fucknugget who's trying to defend the honor of your empress waifu. No need to make us have to laugh at the small size of your white-knight cock as you ignore the actual lore about the Hellknights and their cooperation with the Iomedaean Church all becasue James Jacobs promised o give you cummies

Seriously, you Iomedaean Fundamentalists are the Golarion equivalent to Christian Fundamentalists in the Southern United States

>After the events of Hell's Vengeance, a Schism occurs
>The remaining members reconvene, and discuss the Betrayal of their Goddess.
>They realize that rather tan finding a 6th finger, they instead needed a new finger, forged in Iron and Fury, a finger of hard jusice and righteous fury, forged but not tainted by the flames of hell.
>Ragathiel becomes the new Iron Finger, the one who reforges the Claw. He who leads their swords in righteous fury, their exemplar, Forged in the crucible of hell, yet filled with the spirit of Justice.
>As such the Godclaw is reborn. Their armor and symbol forever altered, with one of their claws forever of shining new bronze or gold, signifying their amputation and rebirth

I can dig it.
