Also, fun fact about moths in real life is that most of the larger species don't eat at all or even have mouths. They do all their feeding as larva and only live as adult moths long enough to reproduce. Luna moths for example only live for a week.

Unfortunately I've been scribbling it all on line paper when I was between work projects. Don't have anything digital yet.

I have plans to test 8 playable insects: bumble bees, carpenter ants, black roaches, moths, butterflies, ladybugs, katydids, and rugose stag beetles. Most races have a standard 2 dots in all stats starting off, except one star with 1 dot (cunning for beetles, constitution for butterflies, etc.). Roaches choose which stat sucks and katydids have 2 dots in everything (the "human" of the races".

Stats are strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, cunning, and will. Attacks form a WoD-type dice pool where Evasion reduces dice against you, and Armor reduces successful hits. Armor can be damaged and attacked directly. Axes automatically deal damage to armor while maces ignore armor.

Melee classes have access to tricks, which can stun enemies, guarantee a low damage hit, knock enemies back, etc. There are three types of magic, which sounds cumbersome for a test system but it's all straightforward. The white/black mages use totems (minor spells fused into objects like bird bone or frog tongue) and runes (major spells burned directly into their minds) and cast based on will. The alchemists have access to a minor spell type that lets you choose from 1 of 3 cantrip-like abilities called transmutations and cast based on intelligence.

Weapons are made from stone, crystal, or usually bone. Enemies would include rats, parasites, living plants and fungi, frog so, birds, other insects, spiders. The insects worship or avoid wolves, foxes, birds, and other animals that are massive to them.

I'd try and throw it on the WIP board or something somewhere down the line of people are interested.

I'm still in the theory crafting stage using D&D 5E as a template to totally destroy.
The races are: Stag/Rhino Beetles, Bee/Wasp, Mantis/Hopper, Moth/Butterfly, and Ant. Each race will have a built in ability set acting as a class.
Armour isn't a thing so AC is CON +DEX mod.
