/pfg/ is practically always talking about Roll20 games, so I'll ask on here: how do GMs use the premade AP/Module maps on Roll20? Me and my players are moving for University so we won't be able to play in person anymore, but we've found that Roll20 is fine enough to keep playing. Problem is, I'm having huge problems for the maps.

I had just been remaking the maps from scratch as the premade ones have horrible quality when I use them, but that takes time and now I'm before stuff like THIS monstrosity (picture spoilered as it is the map of the last location in part 4 of Hell's Rebels), that even after being extracted and split up in smaller images looks like shit, and making it from scratch will take a fuckton of time.
tl;dr: What do you DMs use for Roll20 mapping? Found something to make the premade maps look decent? Make them from scratch?

The interactive maps don't save at a high enough resolution. I found this out the hard way importing the big dome map from Iron Gods book 1, no matter what it's blurry when made a size big enough.

Depends on the setting.

In a more helpful note, lots of old magical tomes are written in Draconic, since there are arguments that mortals learned arcane magic from Dragons.

Elves have a higher percentage of arcane magic-users in their populations, so lots of things will be written in Elvish as well.

And, of course, the planar languages are always a good source for magical stuff. Abyssal, Infernal, Celestial, the Elemental languages, and sometimes even Aklo (the language of abberations).

Is there any one character concept, no matter how simple, how complex, how mechanical or how fluffy, that would get you to play a lewdgame just by being played by another player or being an NPC?
Assume that the player's skills are average, just barely enough to convey the things that make the character attractive to you and with no deal-breakers, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Maybe, just maybe, if we knew what the /pfg/ thought was sexy, less people would get sore about applications or THICC shitting.
I'm just plain old-fashioned curious.

Character concept? Sure, there's a few of them that really get me going... But the most important thing by far is the character art.

You can have a very well-written character with a personality and backstory and general tone built for a lewdgame, but if you give them generic anime art I'm not going to feel anything - I'll like the character, sure, but think they're sexy? Not at all. At the same time, overtly sexy art isn't really going to do it either unless the character concept encourages it. There's a really fine balance that needs to be maintained, but if you hit that balance with art that supports the character concept than I'm fucking onboard.

To use existing characters as an example, Onryou does nothing for me and neither does Gloriana, their art is either too much or too little. On the flipside, Anka from Iron Gods and Renpa from Dominions of Vice work perfectly.

Dumb idea: a Brawler who gets a cantrip SLA that qualifies it for stuff like Arcane Strike, Int-based Monk AC, and the Knowledge Is Power wizard discovery. Have it lose its martial flexibility, standard AC bonus, and maneuver training, maybe some bonus feats.

I must be confusing a blog post or something with an official statement. It was about how translating old archetypes to UMonk is braindead easy and something you should be able to ask your GM about no problem. Losing +20 movement and +4 Dodge with ki expenditure is hardly a dealbreaker. Especially when you get pounce, barkskin, and style feats in return.

Zen Archer/Sohei/Tetori Qinggong Monks optimized right are better than an optimized UMonk, but an optimized UMonk is a better melee combatant than basically every other melee Qinggong Monk. Hungry Ghost is a patch to make Core Monk suck less and the rest are noise unless you're doing something specific with, say, Sensei.

If we're talking archetypes, there's Invested Regent and Perfect Scholar now: getting the Cleric's best buffs as ki powers or utility and an attack steroid on a miss is nice. Black Asp, Brazen Disciple, Scaled Fist, and Monk of the Mantis are decent.

Different dude, the best monk I played was a MoMS/Qinggong/HG monk, I was using ki left and right to infinity and beyond, I was Snake/Panther/Crane first but after the nerft and the Gm starting to ignore my character I retired him and made a Dragon/Pumeling/Tiger I think. Some are outcasts who always wanted to be the hero, but had to give up and just settle for survival.

It's not that out there, given how a lot of the feats themselves are pretty neat and/or patches. A lot of the style feats for disciplines have the first feat in the chain give really cool shit unrelated to initiating, and Scarlet Throne Style in particular was one of the few or ONLY ways I could find to treat a 1H weapon as 2H for things like Power Attack.

The GM in question wants to run a gestalt game for me and a player wholly unfamiliar with most 3pp and ESPECIALLY unfamiliar with things like Initiating, so aside from maybe Jolly's stuff for Vigilantes everything else is going to be case-by-case. A bit of a shame, because I've been itching to actually try avowed rather than just look at shitposting about it.

Alright guys, I'm not always working on Intrigue, and today I got some inspiration and ideas to start the homebrew machine back up again. We've got a few custom races in the workshop coming up, so I figured I should drop some deets on what's gonna be in store.

#1 is the Deep Merfolk conversion! You guys have seen that one already and it's just a bestiary conversion, so I won't make much details there.
#2 is the Bumbleborn! AKA, bee-people who are big, slow, silly, fun-and-booze-loving clumsy fliers that fly into actual rage rage when you piss them off.
#3 is Moomins. I'm not entirely sure how I'm gonna do it, but it's gonna be fun and good memes. Probably gonna be all contemplative philosophical and shit, with a significant tendency of being oblivious as hell to obvious things.
#4 is a less meme and more serious race, the Thryathii. Sort of plant and sort of insect, they're natural empaths who gain magical power from consuming the fear of their prey - and other emotions as well.

As for SoM, working with Ssalarn was a pretty okay experience; we had some rough patches, worked through them, and in the end it was a fun project. I got suckered into 3.5 by some kid I met at church, who basically made me get rid of my 4E books and gave me a whole cd full of 3.5 pdfs. I immersed myself into 3.5, then when I finally went to a gameshop to get more int it, the store owner showed me Pathfinder.

I was young at the time, didn't realize the huge problems and flaws of the system. By the time I had learned better, I had developed a raging hard on for expansive chargen rules and the character creation minigame involved with 3.pf, and thu had a hard time getting into new systems, especially since I had already invested so much time and money into PF.

I only just now started going into other systems, however PF, for better or worse, is my home system and the one I'm most familiar with. Luckily I'm a literal asperger who loves expansive and comprehensive rules, so I was able to adapt relatively well to the system.

You can even mix and do shit like MoMS/Qiggong/Hungry Ghost and literally never run of ki while charging like crazy and dealing tons of damage, or kamehameha then move around enemies and punch them all in the face in the same turn.

I'm not saying Umonk is shit, is pretty good for a martial basic class, but some monk archetypes are THAT great.
