Does the Second Magic only let you move between different timelines/parallel universes or can you use it to move between more "local" dimensions that are part of or connected to the universe you're in. Like a pocket dimension or an afterlife or something like Malfeas or Yu Shan or different Planes in D&D or MtG?

Quick question:
Assuming bigitons necessary to fight a deathlord, how good of an idea would it be to fight the princess magnificent (Umbrella-wielding deathlord) with a scythe (probably artifact or something, possibly firedust powered), on top of an airship (or other areal vehicle.)

So sometimes you just are too late to help. This was one of those. The world was already dying and over run by these worm alien things. The ocean was gone and what little resources were left were being used up fighting the worms.

I quickly realized I now had time travel at my disposal. I thought I would go back and fix things… nope.

So I was blocked (and yes even Doom-chan’s was blocked) and set about getting unblocked. I stumbled across the little war between ZECTS and Neo-ZECTS. I really thought the fighting was stupid honestly and called them both out on it.

Anyways my search was a long and difficult one that led me to the heart of ZECTS. It turns out they were secretly in league with the Worms (Also what kind of name for an alien is worms anyways… it’s wiggly and disgusting not cool or evoking fear)

Unfortunately we found out about this as ZECTs managed to pull an even bigger Meteor full of Worm Eggs towards the earth.

Well we helped some other Kamen Riders as they tried to stop it. Beat some golden prick kamen rider (he was almost as fast as me but he learned the error of survival of the strongest when I punched him unconscious)

The other Kamen Rider stole his device that let him manipulate time and tried to use it but vanished.

So I went Super Saiyan and obliterated the Meteor down to Atoms. Yay for being totally overpowered.

While I was saving the world I had Doom-chan, Rick, Sans, and Van Hellsing working on a toxin to kill the worms and only the worms. They finished, we killed the worms and somehow that freed me up to time travel. I unsummoned all my companions (So they would go with me) and destroyed the first Meteor Atomizing it.

No. Humans were made on purpose by a couple of Primordials working together. They did base them off of the first prototype for Autocthon's creations, the Jadeborn, horribly mutilating him during the process of dissection and reverse-engineering and making the Clay Man. That's kind of a theme with the Primordials, all their coolest stuff is made from bits of Autocthon's projects they tore open for parts.

This world is odd. We're all led by a hologram that, from what I've managed to get out of the robot, is just a man on life support, and our opposition seems to think that we're going to roll over and die for them. Whilst I was working with the team we managed to iron out a training program for them. All these teens seem to know is just regular garden variety martial arts so I've taken to teaching them a bit of M.A.C. To put an edge on them that will change things up, should shit hit the fan and they get trapped without their morphers. In addition to that Teamwork drills!
My cane apparently has a sword in it now. She said it could take in nearly anything, a little gift from her to me. Since I don't have a weapon like the others I just use the sword most of the time during fights. Makes me feel cool at least and I'm glad that the old cane is still useful, I hate to have to put away Gramp's stuff just because of something silly like that.
My belt ate the Power Morpher and Power Coin... Not sure how to take that.

What do you do when you feel bored. Drill. What do you do when drills grow boring. Drill some more. The teens seem to be really good kids, always participating in one or another charity gig. I love the work we do out of the suits as much as the work we do in them. I mean yeah it's one heck of a rush fighting using high flying acrobatics and a freaking long sword, but the feeling you get from reading sick children stories or teaching kids to stay off smack is just as good, in a less personal way.

The teens fought Diend today. It didn't go very well for them, frankly Diend was taking it easy on them and was sending the lot of them flying around. They're nursing bruised egos right now, which is good wouldn't want them to get too big headed. They'll double down on training for bit.

Pink leapt one way, Red another and we opened up with the strongest attack we could get out of the Power Weapons before breaking up and laying into Green and his grays.

Basic Game Premise:

Server players can place things down on Client’s players “reality”, everyone is both a Client and a Server to someone else, usually in a chain.

Server player deploys initial three Alchemy items. Once they are played, a countdown begins until the house is destroyed (usually).

Client player must toss an item into the Alchemy machines to create a Sprite. Once one is made, the house is transported to a new planet inside the Medium.

Every player has their own planet, usually The Land of X and Y and a gate above the house to the planet of the next Player in the chain.

Level grind on the monsters, gather Grist to build up the house, then move to the next planet and do the same all the way around.

There’s also a war going on between Prospit and Derse that will inevitably end with Derse winning and destroying Skaia with meteors if nothing is done. The Derse King and Queen must be defeated before the Prospit army is.

At the same time, the Space player must ensure every player’s existence by sending clones back in time, as well as using ectobiology to breed frogs until the Genesis frog is born. Then the Forge must be found on the Space Player’s Land.

The Time player makes sure the timeline doesn’t doom itself through paradox.

Each land also has a Denizen that’s causing a major problem for the Land. Dealing with this is not required, but a good idea. The Denizen is sometimes a boss battle, but not always. They usually just offer The Choice.

The Choice is a personalized pair of options offered by the Denizen. It may not even seem like a choice, as one obviously leads to death while the other doesn’t. Sometimes, the death may be required to win the game. It is never the same twice and highly personalized to each Player.

That's the basics from what I got the last time I looked at it. I know there's some stuff missing though.

The Geist nerf is definitely a bit much, just because the main benefit of intangibilty is that physical attacks do fuck all, and clarifying that enough energy makes it somehow not work makes it kind of crap compared to the other more versatile/powerful abilties that Worm offers. Unless Wormanon is planning on nerfing most of the powers.

Yes, the Forgotten Realms jump, but you'd need time travel to go back into the past to a point when the rules of magic still allowed it, and pulling that kind of stunt might (read: would) attract overdeity-tier attention. Also, Karsus (the only known mage who 'succeeded') fucked it up badly, so you wouldn't be able to just copy his spell.

If it has to be D&D (rather than just jumping SMITE or similar) you're better off using the Epic Destiny feat paths instead of spells (google Epic Destiny Demigod 3.5).

Quantum evolution never made us completely invincible, but you would expect it to require massive amounts of damage to put you down and that text implies a lower degree of survivablity than expected from the perk, even if the vagueness leaves it open to interpretation.

With Geist it is intangibility, the only things that should bypass it are things that explicitly get around intangibility. Not "sufficient levels of energy or exotic effects".

I'm not alone in this, mind you. Battler and Konata come to mind when I recall Jumpers who put themselves, intentionally or not, through bad and awful things, and still have fun with it and relaxed moments in their chain. Their writing inspired my approach a bit.

As for my personal feelings on the matter...I don't know. My inner storyteller refuses for there to be a story without conflict, or unambiguously smooth sailing. And it adds some satisfaction to it, because it feels like all of that suffering and blazing a path through that hell actually MEANS something as opposed to just laying down and dying. Doing that and gauging that canon won't bend over backwards to the Jumper's will, reacting unpredictably in both positive and negative ways, and my SI-type stories tend to be shaped by that bit of chaos.

Also I really like grit in general.
