The Mage's Guild holds a biannual festival to celebrate a sort of convention between its members where they meet and discuss wizardly matters at their magical guild hall which relocates every solstice.
The town lucky enough to be graced by its presence enjoys a wonderful festival of fireworks and tacky magical gimmicks and performances, to the delight of children and peasants, but often leaving the rest feeling underwhelmed and disillusioned. The Wizards claim to be showing off the fantastic potential of the arcane, which begs the question: What good are they really for? Is magic something to be taken seriously at all?
The truth is that the Wizards design these shows to be cheesy and underwhelming to dispel any suspicions of their true power, which in truth is so immense and its potential so problematic that all the peoples' admiration would ferment into fear and hate.
So tell me /tg/, what are some of the things that should show up at the festival to show that magic is fun and nonthreatening?
Mage Hand Puppets?
Prestidigitation Pastries?
Instant Portraits?
Light Shows?
Illusion Mirrors?

There's always at least one "Monster escape"
Whole sections of the town have to be cordoned off for the populace's safety as wizards deal with it.
The fearsome beast is usually a 10" tall fire breathing chicken chimera.
