Anything that keeps matter and energy from being moved between universes, I'd assume.
Probably wouldn't have to have a massive range either, just something the locks the local area the Parahuman is in.
There's already examples of Parahuman powers that do similar things, you could probably reverse-engineer the effect with the right Tinker power and/or intelligence and SCIENCE! perks.
Butcher and Mantellum off the top of my head are both pretty good in that department, though Mantellum is arguably stronger, IIRC.

With the game now rushing into the Lovecraft mythos as the current endgame (I'm just going to end up adapting one of my scenarios to account for it given that it's in sannin), things might get pretty dicey, especially with handling some of the newer additions and whatnot. Yea, this is a ways off. I just finished FMA It's early in the chain because I really wanted shapeshifting and alchemy. Homunculus is expensive but it's probably one of the stronger shapeshifting powers, of the ones I've seen, anyway. I'm probably going to do like Minecraft, Overwatch, and then once I do VtR, I'll probably muck around in Mafia, Pirates, Breaking Bad and other low level jumps and insert vampire meme powers into the plot. I might not do like Breaking Bad or Mafia if I can't come up with a reasonable threat. I'll probably have scratched the politics itch in Rome since I'll be taking the drawback that makes you become Prince for 10 years before you leave. I might be able to finagle Pirates of the Caribbean since Davy Jones and literal gods and goddesses are a thing. After I'm done in the low power range, I'll probably move onto Jojo's and other shonen tier powers, then to Dota before I do the Greek gods plot.

I'm trying to arrange my jumps vaguely by power level, though I think becoming Vampirates or vampire mafia is interesting.

My freebie perk goes towards Cultivator from Generic Xianxia. Likely not the most cost-effective choice, but I dig the aesthetics.

My freebie item goes towards the custom virus from Resident Evil. If that isn't a valid choice due to leading to a table with its own budget, then I'll be a happy camper with... I actually can't think of any non-background freebie items that aren't just clothing right now and don't fall into the same pit as the virus. Moving on.

Putting all of my perk CP towards Rock of Ages from Generic Xianxia. I'm not spending eternity alone.

Roshi just blew up the moon. DBZ power levels are kind of all over the place in regards to what's possible. That really is the problem. Things that are the domains of gods in Greek Myth, are regularly outdone by mortal men in Dragon Ball. Honestly, I was thinking about how much energy output it would take to destroy the moon in real life. It gets retarded in Frieza Saga when they're throwing around nearly a million times the energy output without accidently annihilating the planet they're fighting on and only gets more insane from there. Reasons why you don't think about how DBZ would work with real physics.

After I get the soul-stealing shit from Dota, I might jump Merlin and go there with the explicit goal of killing Merlin and absorbing his soul to enhance my own magic. I was also thinking about going to Lord of the Rings and allying with Smaug or something else too after that. I have to think about if that's going to be this chain or a different one. It's hard to fit all this stuff without breaking character by holding back, or just stomping worlds.

I already said, I don't think the original jump that he had was bad as far as an entry jump into Puzzle and Dragons goes, and it had very clear advantages in that it ignored the lore so that people wouldn't have to struggle over things like the Dragonbound, the Mirror Realm, and the Origin Realm. (The English translation absolutely butchered the story, because the English translators originally had no clue that there was a story, so a lot of the characters whose names and stages were integral to the story got completely random name translations to make them sound cooler)

There's really no resource to properly go through the lore unless you're willing to learn Japanese and go through the articles one by one. Some people over on the JP/EN PAD community like astalotte and ryulong have gone through with translations for some of it, but even then, not all of the pieces fall in place.

Like PAD BT for instance, which links PAD to Earth (Isekai story), is actually linked to normal PAD through the Origin and Mirror worlds, but there's no clue where BT's Earth is supposed to fall. The anime introduces a completely different world from Dracomacia, which is PAD X's world, but there are some hints that the anime's world might be the core world, only linked to Dracomacia through another gate. The anime led to some realizations that the Gods themselves might be species and not individuals - which is even more fucked up in itself, since the relationship that Gods have with Soul Armors is really badly explained in the second title of PAD X.

That doesn't even touch the tie in that Divine Gate tried to make with PAD, not to mention that Gungho owns Ragnarok Online and made a PAD tie in in the multiple Ragnarok worlds. (and the other way around)

I think with this convoluted mess of a bare minimal explanation you can see why the current jump has its merits.

Well let's be honest, if I didn't mention any of this and let's say you did use the PAD jump, you probably wouldn't have been able to find much on the lore anyways, and would have just assumed that it's a game world where gods and assorted entities come together and fight it out with each other.

If the plot and lore are gated behind multiple walls like a language barrier and really cryptic language (They write their lore in snippet bursts, so they can afford to use "poetic Japanese" rather than standard Japanese, then use a terminology dictionary to explain certain details like Pre Birth Dragon Contracts), I think most people would rather just not deal with them from a story writing perspective.

Me not finishing PAD isn't just a matter of the contextual difficulties, I haven't settled on whether I actually want to use a triple Sphere Grid perk system, I've revised the cast of original canon companions twice now, and the Chain Scenario has had to be revised several times over to account for some changes introduced in Sannin and the JP Collabs. The jump that I have doesn't meet my standards for even a basic WIP - and I need things like Suzunaan and 13-3 to figure out what mechanics I want to use and what mechanics I want to prune.

You don't know a lot about DB gods.

There are several ranks. There are sub-planetary deities (pantheons etc) where the greek gods would fall, there are planetary protector gods in charge of a whole planet, there are the Kais, who are in charge of quadrants of a galaxy, the Grand Kai who is in charge of a galaxy (grand kai is anime original but Toriyama references him in the manga, similar to Bardock), Supreme Kais who are in charge of quadrants of the universe, then Grand Supreme Kai, who is in charge of the entire universe. There are also evil gods/demons, who are people like Demigra and potentially Dabura and Towa who are essentially supreme kais born evil and so deprived of godly ki (they can earn it back) and cast down to rule the demon realm, and are implied to be the originator of all the demon races as a whole (in this way weaker demons can be compared to kai, though without the breeding issues/restrictions so much more numerous.) As a side to this, you have Gods of Destruction, who are in charge of entire universes in opposition to the Grand Supreme Kais (creation vs. destruction) and are supposed to work with them. There are also Angels, who are attendants/trainers/supervisors to Gods of Destruction, and more powerful than them. In addition to that , there is the Great Priest who is in charge of all the Angels, and thus in charge of all the universes. Then above him, there is Zen-Oh, who is the creator deity of all of it.

So as you can see, they run the gamut in power from early DB to stronger than current Super. That's not even taking into account outliers like Zamasu, who are supreme kais but MUCH more powerful than is normal for that race.

Real Eater [1000CP]
Allows you to eat and alter the properties of skills. By using it, you can change one property of a supernatural skill to another similar property. A skill that boosts 'strength' could become one that boosts 'speed', and someone who throws balls of 'fire' can now throw balls of 'ice'. The new property must be of a similar type and strength as the old one. You can change an immunity to 'poison' into an immunity to 'disease', but not into an immunity to 'nuclear explosions'. It cannot remove negative effects, but it might be able to change them. A skill that makes someone 'tired' might now make them 'nauseous'. I'm not choosing the jumps in character. Jump-chan is doing it for me, which is why it'll take more than four or five jumps to get there. I don't know how I'm going to do it without detracting from the plot, but I'm trying to have Jump-chan get me to explain why I am the way I am, and musing on philosophy. Unrelated, but I might just remove my VtM:B from my chain since almost none of it is OC. It's basically one of the "If it was me" stories with a whole bunch of dialogue quoted verbatim. I only took it because I wanted some reason to have technomancy path from thaumaturgy (It's not available in the cyoa document itself, I handwaved studying it under Strauss and bought five levels of thaumaturgy.) so I could engage in meme internet cyborg vampires vs God Programs in Overwatch. Not really. Shinji's always been like that. Yes, he's normally incredibly timid and fearful, but when people he cares about (or even just knows, see Kensuke and Touji) are in danger he charges in without a care in the world for his own safety. Shamshel, Ramiel, Sahaquiel, Sandalphon, Zeruel, Kaworu...people tend to focus on his running away and not notice when the pendulum swings to the other side. That's what made End of Evangelion notable, that by that point he was so depressed that he didn't care what happened to other people. Throughout the rest of the series "if you do not pilot the Eva, people will die" was always capable of motivating Shinji to work past his fears. That's was the start of his pilot career. He didn't get in the Eva, Shinji because he wanted to pilot a giant robot, but because Gendo showed him that if he didn't a drastically injured girl would have to. Yes, he runs away, but he always comes back and does his best to save people. Even when he was so depressed he let the world be destroyed, he still decided "no, this isn't right, I have to face reality" and pulled himself back together from the Sea of Souls. Shinji's awesome. All those "Evangelion with a non-wimpy Shinji" fanfics are missing the point entirely.

There were lots of great parts to Bleach. It wasn't that much different from Naruto or One Piece, hence why it was considered one of the Top Three for a very long time.

But almost all mangas suffer from pacing issues for many different reasons. On top of pacing issues, Bleach suffered from Kubo having mass character creation syndrome. He made so many characters that half of them had to use flashbacks to get any development, and most of the remaining characters either had no development at all or were one shots. In his last arc he introduced like forty new characters at once. Guess how many of them really mattered or survived.

Eh, I don't buy it. It's physical pain that he's suffering, which is something he's always been good at dealing with. I admit there's some neat symbolism to him reaching out to Rei. But it's not really meaningful, he's doing the same thing he always does. Now, if he had some emotional pain going on there, having to open up to someone despite his fears of them leaving him, accepting that the relationship is worth the risk and he'd be better off for having had them in his life anyway, then it would be character development. To be fair, as far as I recall doesn't he end up opening up to her after he rescues her? I remember them talking to each other after he pulls out right before Third Impact happens, where Rei comments about her being replaceable and he argues against it. We even see more of that in 3.0, where he rejects Rei Q because she's not his Rei. He clearly opened up to her if he considers her as something irreplaceable in his life.

Naruto's problems just don't seem as apparent because there weren't enough things to make the problems stand out as much. It had pacing problems, but because it was split into two halves basically and the core antagonists were basically the same group for 90% of the story, there was a sense of consistency, at least up until the very end when it tried the same asspull that Bleach did, and even then Kaguya was less of an asspull compared to Yhwach.

Character development wise Naruto suffered as well, and Boruto is even worse for this. But even here, because the cast is smaller compared to Bleach, you don't feel like it's anywhere near as bad.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of 3.0. But the world ending was happening at the end of 2.0. It got stopped (and then I guess happened again, in 3.0?) but not by any means that Shinji could have known about and planned for. So his moment of repeating Gendo's mistakes and hurting everyone around him because he can't let go is still there in 2.0. He still decided "fuck the world, the only important thing is that Yui doesn't leave me". That this got so emphasized and became the main plot of 3.0 isn't a great thing, no matter how much I like it. The implementation was handled poorly. A fifteen year time-skip to a post-apocalyptic Earth was not the way to do this. Show the damage Third Impact caused immediately, let Shinji see how he's hurt people instead of just seeing the aftermath. Much more meaningful to Shinji and makes the plot much easier to understand because we don't have a thousand proper nouns that all the characters know about but we as the audience have never heard.

I would place most the Z-Fighter who're not Sayians at about 1-2 on this a scale. As they were easily swatted away like flies by Beerus. Even SSJ3 Goku who was able to defeat Kid Buu, was taken down by a single strike. Vegeta was able to put up somewhat of a fight when enraged, but Beerus was still at like 10% of his power. Even at like 70% or so he's been able to match SSJB Goku & Vegeta in sparring practice. Don't think he's ever gone 100%.

Supposedly what happened was that Kaworu stopped Third Impact, but the damage was already done. So, rather then it being Game Over, it just was Second Impact 2: Electric Boogaloo, further fucking up the world. Also, in all fairness, Shinji didn't know what he was doing would end the world, nobody seemed to know aside from Gendo, Fuyutsuki, and Kaji. Even Ritsuko didn't know, if I remember right. That's...not inaccurate. The magic and physical attacks wielded by the heroes at the start of the series when they fight the lich with this power aren't able to get by it but once Gaara uses his special sword to drain his life for more power, he's able to hurt the lich regardless. Much later on a far better version of this ability appears but attacks are thrown around that can get through it.

So in this world, I think that might be the way of it, with sufficiently powerful supernatural attacks hitting physical and spiritual sides. In other worlds it's probs a lot easier to tell the difference though.

Cauldron vials come from bits of Eden's avatar-body that specific shards are attached to. Since these are an Entity's own shards, that it hasn't restricted for distribution, they tend to be stronger than natural triggers. Statistically speaking, anyway, you can have natural triggers stronger than them. But the entire Triumvirate are Cauldron capes. Mid-tier parahumans are people like Assault or Kaiser or Hookwolf or other characters that have relatively minor roles to the plot but are considered major players in their own cities. So think about someone that's clearly stronger than them, but not massively outclassingly so.

While Siberian/Alexandria/Legend/Eidolon and Hero are all Cauldron formulas, they are also extreme examples that have not been matched again.

Most Cauldron powers are closer to Accord's Ambassadors (they're all Cauldron purchased powers), the Travelers (also Cauldron vials), Battery of the Protectorate, and the Case 53's (by definition, they're all Cauldron formula creations.)

Cauldron formula powers are close to what you see in the Jump's powers, and indeed can roughly match natural triggers... But Natural triggers continue to grow and adapt, while Cauldron powers are static - They draw on a dead source, so the Space Whale can't adapt to your needs.

Contractor would grant weaker versions, but with the benefit of being from a living source.

In part 2, it's destroying galaxies. Most of the characters from part 1 struggle to battle mid level characters from the Part 2 of the series. Putting them into the same jumps means not representing one of the two halves because of the massive power difference and because Part 1 takes up two thirds of the series content, that's kind of the one you'd need to focus on as including stuff from Part 2 would make Part 1 stuff pretty irrelevant.

Or you can just split it into two jumps and solve the issue that way, letting both parts be represented like they deserve.
