I am preparing to run a game for some friends of mine based in the warcraft universe. This is going to be my first time running a game and I also don't have a ton of experience playing in one. So I am unsure what the best system to use would be. Right now I am leaning towards d&d 4th. It seems the most mmo/miniatures focused and I think it would help to keep their attention and it would be easiest for them to relate to.
Does that seem like a horrible idea?

Bump for any sort of advice or tips.
Is this bait?
Because it looks like pic related,

Nope, it is pretty good for that stuff. It's also very DM friendly. There's a general thread up at >>54313634
You could try Strike! for something really simple, but mechanically similar, but it's a bit more of a bitch to run, on account of it being amateur as shit, and you have to fiddle with a lot of genre staples that 4e has (stats, magic item troves, etc.), but Strike! doesn't.

It is not bait I just don't know what I am doing.

Thank you I will check out Strike! and I appreciate you linking me to the general thread as well.

Core book here:

Fair warning, the first 90 or so pages are pretty confusing, so start with the fight module at around 90, and work your way backwards.

Thanks man I will read over it. Skimming over their website I didn't expect a full blown book!

Yeah, it's got some supplementary material (subsystems, monsters, mini-settings, etc.)... which makes it sorta confusing at times.
I'll answer any questions if thread is still around when I get up.
