Baldur's Gate ended with two, and this is Abdel Adrian, from Dragon Magazine, nu-5e Minsc is some horrid Stone clone made by the shitshow that was the Spellplague and everything it did to FR with a Wild mage that doesn't even use a massive wild magic table anymore, because 5e writers can't write anything with intristic well thought out detail due to being full of emotion-void uninspired nu-males and hipsters.

but hey that's just like, your opinion man. Dark alliance was the very first exposure I ever had to dnd and, yeah it might just be nostalgia goggles i still think it holds up as a relatively fun dungeon crawl hack and slash. i still have it on ps2 and play it every now and then with my roomate for laughs.
so in short, I disagree and would pay good money for a remake of DA and baulders gate 3
