Situations to make a paladin fall? A genuine fall, not just

This buxom half-elf, half-fox maiden is cursed to die of a horrendous , torturous plague that will slowly liquify her flesh and organs from the inside out. The only way to end the curse is for a Lawful Good Paladin to rape her bloody.

Have his diety betray him, leading him on a path that is for the greater good but at the cost of his reputation, morals, will etc. That only gets worse the further he stays with it. He needs to be unsure about if he us really doing the right thing or if he is being used for amusement of some asshole in the sky

Simplest way is to find the one tenant of their god they don't believe in, and stick them in a situation where they would need to enforce that tenant.

A basic example would be their god demanding justice by trial whenever possible, but the villain will obviously escape if he's arrested and not killed on the spot. The paladin might not fall then, but it will create enough second thoughts to get the ball rolling.

Wouldn't that make it a normally evil act into gray area? It's usually understandable to hurt someone if it's necessary to save their life. Like cutting someone leg because it's stuck or bitten by a zombie. Never forgetting that a paladin wouldn't ever enjoy it.

It's also a bit cheap. He could look back and see this as a failure in the DM and not his. 'You raped her because you hold her life more important than your morals, you fall' or 'you didn't rape her because you hold your morals more dearly than a life, you fall'. Both are extremely important to a paladin, ergo you didn't actually tempt him into falling by picking on his worst instincts, he didn't act out of malice or laziness but on a pure desire to do what is better.

You should never 'make' a Paladin, he needs to do so as a result of his own actions and decisions for it to have any meaning.

Yes, but you can present situations where his morals are tested. Especially when they believe they can get away with it.
