Sup /tg/, I'm looking for a cooperative or a skirmish board game to play with my nigg. The one we played a lot so far is Arkham Horror and we both love it, but I'd like to try something different. Preferably sci-fi too, but I guess generic fantasy would be fine as well. Here's some titles I'm thinking about:
>Space Hulk
>Doom board game (the new one)
>Gears of War board game
>Deadzone
I'm mainly interested in Space Hulk. Never played it, but I'm wondering how replayable is it actually. Seems a bit shallow to me and sounds like it would get old fast, but it looks so god damn cool and I always wanted to get into WH40k (I enjoyed Dawn of War).
Any other expansions for Arkham Horror that you could recommend? I already own Innsmouth Horror and Lurker at the Threshold.
Space Hulk as you said doesn't have that much too it. There are better 40K board games IMO, like the upcoming Heroes of Black Reach. I haven't tried Gears of War, but Deadzone and Doom are pretty fun. Deadzone is a straight up miniatures skirmish game that is packaged as a board game (No measuring though because it uses large grids for movement), while Doom is a much more standard board game.
