How would you fuse a magitech setting like Eberron with cyber aesthetics?
Some friends want me to run a game like that, something like working for a company and being the ones who handle shady shit, new tech, etc. Having a real hard time thinking of what the general world should be like or the first session. Help me out?
If not: Post cyber shit.

Use Shadowrun as inspiration.
Or if you want an original setting, have two empires - one magical and one cyber - who fought for centuries until one won.
Now there's entire magic being enforced on a corporate-cyber modern civilization or a corporate-cyber civilization is raping a magical-feudal land.

Get the setting supplement "Distant Worlds" from the Pathfinder trove. It was written before Pazio went to shit and gives some good space Magitech inspirations.

I think it works better from the opposite approach.
The tech looks all cyber and people refer to it as technology and takes it for granted but at it's core it's mystical and works on animistic, symbolic principles.
>The truest hackers mark their monitors with goetic diagrams to protect themselves from the psychic attacks of deep web spirits. There are secret sites that open portals into sleeping minds and the Akashic vaults. Killer chain emails are the work of evil witches.
>Anti-virus acts as a very humble ward against evil magic
>Even the humble gun's mechanisms channel some primitive magic. Ballistic-Mystics study the esoteric meanings behind the practical designs hoping to one day learn the language of Gun-God. Until then will settle on ghost-killing bullets, new-flesh weapons and napalm-bloodRiddle of Kalashnikov
>Preserved food is taken for granted by the masses but the processes used to make it are gifts from unseen gods. They right combination of alterations can make for self-altering elixirs.
>The fomorians live in basements and bunkers. Most are mistaken for deformed. They pedal sentient viruses and soul-eating guns over the internet.
>Elves are the stuff of dreams and desires. They live in the collective unconsciousness, manifesting in dreams and online, in pure unnatural beauty.elves are animeanime and waifus
>The Illuminati is a cult of powerful evil wizards
>Corparations are fief's and their presidents are lords, mercenaries are knights
>Cryptids are labotamised, armoured, implanted with controls and sold as secretive weapons of war and espionage
>Dragons live on the moon, they are the Reptilians, they psychically feed off human vice. Their children are shapeshifters, they feed on human flesh.

Shit son, now this I can work with. Hell I wanted to make a race thats basically elves; physical bodies for a bunch of coding, programs, and whatever they collected from the internet before forming themselves. The plan was like a core 'brain' computer that built a body out of holograms and nanobots.
What sort of opening quest could work for a setting like this?
Acquiring a stolen cryptid? Rescuing them?
Investigate the strange murder of the CEO's son (Secretly a hacker)?
Theres a lot to build on, just which would be the perfect start I wonder.

>The plan was like a core 'brain' computer that built a body out of holograms and nanobots.
That works. My idea was a changling deal. Where they switch minds with someone in meat space, taking their body and letting them live in virtual Arcadia.
But you could probably do anything with a computer (electronic or biological)
I'm thinking a quest to find the right body for a elf. Raiding warehouses for android bodies, secret R&D bases for vats of nanomachinesuntil she finds out she really wanted to be smartlinked T-90 main battle tank all along
Other quests
>Investigation of the disappearance of NEETs, the link is they have all been playing the same MMO. It turns out the terms and conditions on the game where actually a contract signing over the game's players souls to hacker.
>Rumours abound that a hoarded hard-copy fortune in the estate of a new reclusive televangelist. It seems to be lightly guarded and ripe for the picking. He is actually a powerful wizard with a packs of cyber-cryptiods guarding the grounds. There is powerful AI imprisoned on the estate that is vengeful towards it's captor.
>A formorian has fallen in love with a CEO's daughter. He wants to set up a meet to declare his intentions but the girl is sheltered and well guarded an arcology. The players must break in give her the invite and stealthily escort her out should she acceptshe's actually a reptilian hold the corporation hostage
>A clan of cryptid is being kidnapped by and cybertized by a fat mustachioed warlord. They must race against the clock to free all they talking animals they can and shut down the fatman's operation.
