A rain of arrows, a plague of strange illusions and hallucinations, townsfolk rallied into the cause by a lot of money, and a warrior and a paladin fighting back to back against the horde, will take them on and quite possibly win.

I think they've got this really. huns are basically just horse archers and they can handle that without too much issue. Barovia also seems really hilly and woodsy, so the numbers wouldn't be as effective. As a group we rally the people of the recently freed Barovia (if they haven't put us in charge already) and start arming. We close the gates and prepare for a siege. A siege that they've already been dealing with for 500 years. The huns attack and between the 2 (or 3) casters and the archer on the wall, they're numbers will thin. When the wall does finally come down we drag them through the woods picking them off and then torch the woods, or one of the many abandoned towns. Then we hole up in one of the walled cities and do the whole thing over again. Probably have the aid of countless undead, whether intentional or not.

It would be a long war, but I think they'd win the battle.

Well this probably won't end well. Paladin and warlock might try to rally people to their cause and be the evil Mongolians. Half-elf probably will try to either fuck off or try to help with evacuations. I'm not sure if the wizard would help the party to beat back the Mongolians or try joining them to try start a c'oup so he can conquer the kingdom himself

None of them saved nothin', but I'm pretty sure the ranger could take out a bunch with gish magic and let the other two clean up. Not even bringing into consideration if the theoretical kingdom is actually going to defend itself.
Alternatively I could have the ranger and his convenient family of parents and grandpappy assist him, but since that would be a party level of 11-17, that's a bit overkill.
